Some interesting points, but a very uncertain ending, didn't feel like much resolution. A short story should have a fully formed ending, and this didn't feel like one.

I thought this book was just okay, but it had a lot of potential. It actually started out really interesting and was about someone in a karate class, and their relationship with their sensei. But as the book ended, it had one of those "What the heck?" moments when you don't understand why the character did what he did, then the book ended. It was an unsatisfactory ending. I think if the ending was changed and flushed out, it could have been a good book. I found myself wondering more about the relationship between the student and the sensei.
