Admiral's Tribulation

Spineward Sectors Series Book Three of Eight: Admiral's Tribulation

Admiral Jason Montagne and the crew of the Lucky Clover are back just in time for another family reunion. The last one was with the Vekna side of his family, but now he has to catch up with an an old school Montagne... the kind that gives other Montagnes a bad name, and makes Jason's relationship with Cousin Bethany seem all warm and fuzzy, by comparison.

Childhood fantasies will be crushed.

An aura of invincibility will be tested.

It's anyone’s guess if the Little Admiral can pull another rabbit out of his hat and put an end to the piracy that’s been plaguing the border of known space ever since the Empire withdrew.

Will the tables finally be turned? Will Jason find himself at the mercy of those he’s been thumbing his nose at for so long, or will his paranoia protect him from an honest-to-Murphy Admiral's Tribulation?

Hey there guys. This is your friendly neighborhood Author, stopping by for a quick biography. As you probably guessed my name isn't Luke Sky Wachter. It is true that I'm publishing under my Son's name. As you can probably guess from that little factoid, I'm a huge Sci-fi buff, having named my son after such an iconic figure and all that.

For more information on the status of my current projects and general updates you can find me on:

My blog: www.joshuawachter.com
My Twitter: https://twitter.com/LukeSkyWachter
My Facebook Group: Multi-Sector Patrol Fleet
Not sure if this link will work but: https://www.facebook.com/search/group...

I've also put up a picture of myself and the real Luke Sky as well as the rest of the fam. Hope you all like the new pictures I tried to add!

For anyone who says the name is cheesy, what can I say? It probably is and I published under it anyway, out of love for my boy. For anyone who says the name is completely unrealistic, alas I have the birth certificate to put the lie in such assertions. Sorry guys but there is at least one father out there crazy enough to actually go saddle his kid with such a name and as a result there really is a living breathing Luke Sky Wachter! He's just not me. hehehehe But some day he'll be able to look back at what his dad has done and know I was proud enough to use his name.

Gunn battles betrayal comedy and tragedy it's got it all, I started reading this series because the first book was a freebie but wasn't I shocked, this is fast paced and fun. And they keep getting better and better, the little admiral is back out there rolling the dice but this time he's not so lucky. I won't ruin this for you just buy and read it

The story continues.

Book three continues the adventures of Jason and his merry team of warriors. There is also a few surprises to come.

This book has a lot more intrigue, and expands the scope of the setting. Sadly it doesn't feature a lot of hope or good moments.

Fantastic space entertainment.

As I said of the prior adventure, entertainment is my goal and entertainment is what I have. Luke's cameo appearance is a funny touch.

While I HAVE enjoyed the series, I can't give it more than 2 stars because there have been MULTIPLE ERRORS per page in all three of the books I've read so far. Some of them are missing words, some of them are wrong words like were, where type stuff BUT, some were just TOO STUPID to let slide.

Here's a nice one:

The next thing I knew my lungs had seized up JUST LIKE THE TIME (that's singular, you know) my mom had sprayed me all over with some expensive cologne EVERY TIME (plural!) we went to a mandatory royal function.

In ONE SENTENCE he went from "THE time my mom" to "EVERY TIME" we went.

Lastly, be prepared. The first 2 books were FILLED with chuckles. This one is filled with TEARS.

Betrayal, Valor, And Love

Admiral Jason Montague is plagued by an influx of disloyal crew which endangers him and his original crew. Needing to stay on top of the situation, he sends his Sword Bearer (wife) to lead the troops to take the pirate station. He meets a childhood hero and relative in a most unexpected manner. There is much appreciated humor, but some plot lines lead to tragedy. Death of favored characters triggers the emotion of sadness while success triggers joy. Akantha (Jason's Sword Bearer, Wife) learns much about command and gains appreciation for Jason's abilities. I look forward to the next book.

Another all nighter

Good story, pacing, likeable characters, and decent world building. I really want to see how each main character progress. I recommend this to any sci-fi reader.
