Bella Juarez is originally from San Antonio, Texas and now lives and writes on a small ranch in South Central Texas. She draws inspiration from the real life heroes and heroines of the United States military and her many experiences in the twelve years she worked within that world as well as from her life in the civilian world. Her love of thrill and adventure are reflected in her stories. When she’s not writing, Bella runs a business and is active in the business community. She also runs half-marathons and loves to be in the kitchen whipping up something.

I've absolutely loved this series and this installment is no exception. What happens when a dominant SEAL and an independent doctor come together? Love happens. We also get caught up with the characters from previous books. There are kidnappings and rescues, and biological warfare diseases to be stopped. Suspense and love and sex, what more could you ask for?

Izzy refused to leave when the State Department ordered her to. She wanted to stay and help the locals in Afghanistan. That decision has come back to haunt her when she is taken by rebels. Now her life is in the very hands of those she dislikes the most…the military. Alex has put off speaking with the doctor who handled the breakout of the latest biological weapon and now the only doctor to experience its effects in the field needs a rescue herself. And then he learns of her dislike of military and he must navigate a Minefield of a different kind.
The fifth installment of Bella Juarez’s Black Ops Brotherhood finds our sexy SEALs dealing with biological intrigue at level defcon! But Alex is ready to navigate not only these dangers but the caustic tongue of a do-gooder doctor as well. I loved seeing Izzy and Alex as they found their footing. Their politics were complete opposites but the growing feelings forced them to look beyond those differences to work for the betterment of mankind. Ms. Juarez continues to give us action packed stories filled with complex romance. She never makes it easy for her characters to find their happily ever after and Izzy and Alex are no different. But even as she continues to weave an overlying story arc she allows the main characters an opportunity to fall in love. The chemistry between Izzy and Alex was believable and their struggles felt real. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Ms. Juarez allow them their happily ever after in spite of the danger that surrounded them.

With each book, Bella Juarez's writing just gets better and better. This is by far my most favorite Black Ops book! He's the Special Ops doc and she's the Humanitarian doctor in war torn Afghanistan. Bound together in the fight to save the world from a dangerous pathogen, they find safety and peace with one another. Together, they are stronger. We get to see the whole cast of Black Ops, who are also working to save the world from the terrorist. This story brings a more human side to the series' players. Without spoilers, I will just say it reminded me fondly of some pre-deployment stories my parents told of their early marriage. This took the story out of the realm of possibility and into the realm of realism for me. Can't wait for book 6!

Just when I think that I have read my favorite book of this series, Bella Juarez writes another story that steals my heart. This story is full of HOT, sexy, military men, hot sex and intrigue. I love how the relationship develops between Alex and Izzy and I especially loved the mention of Divine,Texas. Bella is a very good storyteller and I am looking forward to other stories by her.

Oh my goodness! This one has it all love, sex, suspense, baby and a little Bdsm. I love catching up with all characters in the series and meeting new ones. We even visited my favorite town Divine Texas. This one is by far my favorite so looking forward to reading about Dan and Rio.

What a great addition to the Black Ops Brotherhood series. I think Alex is my favorite. The detail Bella puts into the story is awesome. I was on pins and needles with the mission. Her military experience really shines. Love the side trip Alex and Izzy take through Divine, Texas.
