Keith Rossetti grew up the hard way--fleeing from his older sister's fists and finding addiction at a young age. It's a miracle he was able to make it into the FBI, and he fiercely guards his relationships with a handful of close friends.
When Katrina Legato's brother brought home his Marine buddy all those years ago, she fell head-over-heels in love. Ten years have elapsed, and she hasn't forgotten that toe-curling kiss he gave her for her eighteenth birthday. She knows he's a demanding Dom who doesn't respect his submissives or keep them for long, but if that's all she can have of him, then she'll take it.
When refusing Kat sends her to another Dom, Keith rethinks his decision. He plans to show her exactly why he's not a suitable life partner for anybody. But Kat, one of the only women he's allowed into his heart, isn't what he expected. She's no pushover. She demands more from him than anybody ever has, and he finds himself wanting to be the man she thinks he is.
As she repairs his damaged soul, a stalker targets her. When she's kidnapped, he'll stop at nothing to get her back.
Michele Zurlo is the author of the Awakenings, Doms of the FBI, and the SAFE Security series and many other stories. She writes contemporary and paranormal, BDSM and mainstream—whatever it takes to give her characters the happy endings they deserve. Her childhood dream was to be a librarian so she could read all day. Some words of wisdom from an inspiring lady had her tapping out stories on her first laptop, and writing blossomed from a hobby to a career.
This is my third book by this author, and I have to say, its easily my favorite by her that I've read so far.
Katrina and Keith are our sub and Dom in this one. Keith had a terrible childhood and is a recovered alcoholic, and its colored him. Katrina has watched him for a decade with her brother, who is his partner in the FBI, and crushed from afar. She knows her brother is a dom, she knows Keith is a dom, and she's spent some time seeing how Keith treats women, which is not well. At all.
The whole subplot of "I'm so bad a person" really wore on me for a short time, but it only lasted a short time, and from there, I really enjoyed the rest of the book. Katrina is being stalked, and unlike a lot of stories, she not only isn't an idiot about it when she goes to see her stalker, she manages to both alert the authorities pre-emptively, and to rescue herself from the situation without needing a man to ride in and do it for her.
One of my own personal pet peeves is contained within, though, so lets take a moment to discuss it. Those who read a lot about, or live within the framework of a BDSM relationship are not likely to enjoy hearing stuff like "You are too good to be a submissive" and "I'll teach you not to be a submissive". When I first read the words, I was not in my happy place, but in the context of this story, Keith was a mess, and I think what he really meant was, "I'll teach you how much of a lost cause/loser I am so you'll abandon me."
Katrina and Keith work it out, and everyone gets their happy on. I liked it. Oh, also, Bonus Points/Kudos to the author, for a Dom thats a masochist, and a sub thats willing to wield a flogger for her Master's pleasure. Loved it.

I've liked most of Michele Zurlo's other books, so I was taken aback by the way this one started off. The two main characters, Keith and Katrina have known each other for years. Keith is Katrina's brother's best friend. Keith is also a Dom, and Katrina is interested in becoming his submissive. And this is where my problem started. Keith does not respect his submissives and does not want to train Katrina, because she is "too good for that." This is one of my major turnoffs in BDSM romance - the damaged Dom who doms from his damaged place and disrespects any woman who allows herself to be his submissive.
There are two major things that separate BDSM from abuse - consent and intent. If the Dom disrespects the submissive, that starts moving awfully close to abuse.
For a good 40% of the book, Keith the Dom is an asshole, while Keith the man is a good guy. Katrina, fortunately, is not a doormat and saves the book. She insists that Keith treat her with respect, and he does. Keith's evolution is somewhat simplistic, but I was grateful for it.
If you are a fan of D/S, and/or strong female and male leads, than this book – this story – will fit the bill nicely. Keith and Katrina are good together. They each have take-charge personalities so watching them work their way through issues to find a balance that includes submission is an interesting one to say the least.
Keith has considered Katrina forbidden for years. The friendship with her brother is one he doesn’t want to lose and a short-term relationship with his sister is the fastest way to do that. Despite that, he just can’t stay away. He wants to. He feels he needs to. It’s just not that easy with Katrina being… Katrina…
“Naughtiness and sin dripped from every facet of his body…”
Katrina’s ability to go after what she wants, to push and pull as needed, is a testament to the strength required for a submissive. There is nothing inferior about that position; it demands respect. And she gets it by not accepting anything less. She knows her worth. She knows Keith’s worth. By the end of this story, both were going to learn a lot about themselves, and each other…
“Slave, would it help to know the pleasure is always greater than the pain?”
There is more to come for these two and I look forward to it all!
I wasn't sure when reading this book whether I would enjoy it with it been FBI Crime related. I was pleasantly surprised. The book is about Katrina and Keith. Katrina works in a law firm and Keith works for the FBI. Keith has had a bad childhood and has found a way to cope by been a dominent and not having for feelings for women. Until kat asks him to train her. There is also another story going on aswell. A stalker who needs catching. This is what I like about it and kept me guessing what was happening and who was the suspect. There is lots of BDSM in this story which is great. But a crime story uncovers too. It has lots of great stuff in it as well as great characters.
I loved this story. Even though it is book two, it is a standalone. Trina has loved Keith for a very long time. She has decided that she is going to go for it and ask him to train her as a submissive. Once he agrees, Keith learns that he can't keep Trina at an arm's length. She demands more from him. There is a HEA. I loved this book and I am going to go back and read the rest of the books. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
My Second Two Reviews in One - The Companion Title is The Denim Dom.
“I want you to train me.”
When Katrina says that to Keith, they had known each other for a decade. He was her brother’s best friend and partner and they had worked together professionally. He turned her down.
When Shayla says that to Tony, they had known each other for 5 days. She was a reporting working on a series of stories about the BDSM Lifestyle. He accepts her as a pupil.
Both of these books are part of series. Katrina and Keith both appeared in Re/Bound, although honestly I didn’t pay much attention to either of them. Tony played a fairly important part in The Reluctant Dom, in the midst of Kaden’s many plans for Seth and Leah. He may have appeared in some other parts of the series but I haven't read those.
If you haven’t read Rochelle’s review of Re/Paired, you should. She really took offense at that line. I didn’t see it quite the same way. I think Keith was correct. Katrina was too good for him. In fact, until he stopped hating himself, everyone woman he had ever been with was. That was really the essence of the story to me.
Tony had a much different problem. I am sure you know the adage: Fail to Plan and you Plan to Fail. Tony’s problem was that he planned everything out to the last point. I guess Kaden rubbed off on him. The problem was that he forgot that relationships sometimes require a little bit of spontaneity.
You also get a bit of TPE in both of these - something that Shayla fully embraced, but Katrina didn’t. Which was fine. That was one of my favorite moments.
One last thing: I thought the attacks on BDSM Romances got to be a little much in Denim. Personally, I haven’t read the story where the woman who wanders into the BDSM Club is Collared and dragged into the Dungeon. It sounds interesting, though.

3.5 out of 5 Licks (books 1 & 2 reviewed together)
I am going to start out by saying that you really should read these stories together and in order. I am glad I did, I think some nuances of the stories would not make sense otherwise. So I decided to review them that way for those very reasons.
Re/Bound for me was a little slow at times and I got a little distracted. I loved the premise of the story and action/thriller aspects for me these were a plus. Of the two stories, this was the emotional one for me. I felt so bad for Darcy, not knowing what happened to her first Dom. Just the first scene sets you up for her character and the emotions of the book. I know Malcolm/Theo is just doing his job, but to take Darcy on even more of an emotional roller coaster ride did not make me a big fan. Don't get me wrong I like Malcolm/Theo he is alpha male and protective but a big romantic too.
Re/Paired, was much more faced paced, kept me in the story. Really Darcy and Katrina are very much alike a few aspects of their stories, Katrina just seems the more worldly one. Katrina is loyal to a fault and that gets her in trouble in this book, when someone close starts stalking her. Katrina wants to be trained as a submissive and what starts out as just trying to protect Kat by Keith turns into training her to be his submissive. Once we get past Keith's hard exterior watch out, he may be a demanding Dom but he has a soft spot a mile wide for Kitty Kat.
I enjoyed both stories, the BDSM elements of both stories were sexy and well thought out. The female characters were strong, smart and held their own in the stories with the alpha male Doms. Well written stories I would recommend to anyone.
I fucking LOVED this book. Keith is the perfect flawed hero. I loved the way Kat brought out everything that was good about him, and I love a Dom who loves, cherishes, and respects his subbie! The mystery aspect was good--not too much, just enough to add some more tension (not that this book needed more tension) to the plot. Also, I like strong heroines. Kat didn't let anybody push her around, not Keith or Malcolm or her stalker. This is easily one of the best book I've ever read!!!!
Oh, I think Kat and Keith are one of my favourite couples ever! Their story just flowed and twisted for me into my subconscious and heart like a river, where there were calm points, then rapids, then a waterfall, before carrying on to the ocean. These two didn't have a lot of inner dialogue, if they thought or wanted something, they stated it. They didn't analyze their feelings, they simply had them, and they revealed them when they felt comfortable. One of the advantages of having a friendly relationship all those years gave them the ability call the other out.
Katrina has known Keith for years, and wanted him for years. He is her brother Malcolm's best friend, and Malcolm has always warned her away. She has seen herself how he treats the women he is with, and she wants no part of that treatment, but she wants Keith. Katrina knows her heart, and his, and knows she can handle whatever Keith brings and pull out the Keith she knows to be with her
Keith has a horrible past, and he projects that into all his relationships with women, except Malcolm's mother and sister. As much as he has wanted Kat for the over the past decade, he promised Malcolm he would stay away. Malcolm knows his demons and wants none of them on his sister. Trina to the rest of her family, but always Kat to him, Keith can only resist so much before his instinct to protect her, and make her his, takes over
Both are strong willed, but in a ying and yang, rather than butting heads. They take the time they need to know what, and who, they are together before letting anyone know they are a 'they'. An easy read, a balanced story, and a solid romance - loved it!
This book was incredible. Unlike anything I have ever read before and so detailed. Where do I start? I have so much respect for this author because a book of this magnitude and it is so well written. This was also quite a difficult read because it goes against everything I have learned in a Dom/sub relationship. Keith was not a good guy in this book but Katrina stuck it out with him.
What did I like? The complete one eighty that Keith does is worth the ride. Katrina has to be one of the strongest subs I have ever read about but she definitely knows her worth and refuses to accept Keith’s behavior. He has always been different with her family, maybe they had enough years to help mold him better...idk. I loved it.
Would I recommend or buy? One of my favorite authors just sent me one of this authors books... Kismet I say. I have been devouring this authors books and they are worth a buy. After having seen the paperbacks and know their worth, I’m looking to actually buy the paperback copy. I was so shocked that another author sent me a copy of another authors books. Mind blown. I definitely recommend this book....Dom/sub genre..five stars.
Thoughts for this author? I’m glued to Booksprout for your next book, and I’m sad they won’t let you put the same book up twice. Thanks to Booksprout btw for this copy, my review and thoughts are my own. Your an amazing author? Congrats on this book!
Our hero had an abusive upbringing and now keeps people, particularly women, at a distance. But our heroine has known him, and wanted him, for ten years and will have none of that distancing.
This is book two in the series. It is written as a standalone, with only minor references to previous characters.
I started the series expecting romantic suspense, so I was a bit disappointed in the lack of action. But now that I know what to expect, I found the second book (this one) to be much more enjoyable. This is first and foremost a romance story focused on BDSM, but with some suspense and intrigue thrown into the mix.
Now being properly grounded, I found the story to be well written and generally easy to read, although the hero's background is rather harsh. Speaking of the characters, they are also well developed with solid backgrounds that fit the story and, as it turns out, each other. I have to admit that I didn't care for the hero at the start of the story, but then that was rather intentional. Our heroine, on the other hand, shines from the start and the chemistry between the characters is delightful once he starts to loosen up. The intrigue in the story added another element but did not distract from the overall plot. Overall, I found the story to be very enjoyable and I look forward to reading more in the series.
Highly recommended.

Keith Rossetti is a former soldier, a recovering alcoholic, FBI agent, and a Dom, a sadist and masochist. With the exception of two, he doesn't like or trust women. He does use them. Katrina Legato is an assistant US attorney. She has crushed on her brother's best friend Keith for the last decade. Her brother Mal has warned her away from him. Keith has a lot of baggage carried over from his childhood. While Kat and her mother are the only to women Keith cares about, Mal thinks he is to broken, and will only break her heart. Kat is determined to try. Finding a Dom she can trust to train her has proven difficult. When Keith finds out he reluctantly agrees to train her. Kat doesn't react like the subs he has been with in the past. She refuses to be a doormat. Training a women he cares about is changing him. Kat is in danger. She has a stalker. Someone is setting her up at work. There is concern that Mal's fiancee, Darcy 's former bosses associates are targeting her. Things get more complicated when Keith's estranged mother shows up looking for a favor. A fast paced and steamy BDSM romantic suspense. Kat and Keith are so good together and for each other. Great epilogue. Loved Kat's parents and cousin. Looking forward to Dustin and Jordan 's stories.
Keith and Katrina make a uniquely paired couple I couldn't get enough of. Keith, an FBI agent pairs up with his best friend's little sister, who happen to be a kickass attorney working in the FBI too would be great as that, but the author chose to add depth and character to both of these people, giving Keith a horrible background he overcame but the background only makes his flawed vulnerability a more loving aspect that, as a reader, I wanted to see him protected. Katrina, aka Kat, Kitty cat or Trina, also is both strong and beautiful on the outside, she also has a sweet, vulnerability that I loved. She is the perfect match for Keith and helps the strong, dominant male rethink his lifelong survival more thinking, challenging him to step away from his ways of distancing women in the past. Add in a stalker, family love and drama and it added up to one of my favorite reads! I also must mention the sexual chemistry between the two is heated to lure molten lava and I loved it! Read this story! If you're like me, set aside time because I literally couldn't put it down and read it all, cover to cover in one fascinating and surprisingly erotic evening.

Malcom and Keith had an argument and it’s been tense. Keith was invited to the party Layla always throws. Keith knew that a Katrina would be there but she was somewhat off limits. Keith thought of Kat on her knees before him with his collar. He knew Kat had a secret but no idea what it was but it bothered him. Kat asked him to train her and he said “No”he knew he couldn’t. Kat decided that she would try to find someone to train her besides Keith. Keith caught on that she had asked another Dom to train her and it made his blood boil he then decided he was going to train her. Keith pushes Kat and she wants to please him so she goes along with the training. Keith gets freaked out because he is beginning to feel again. Kat has a stalker she fines things gone or moved when she gets home. Her car also had been gone through and she never told Keith about the car. The staking continued so Keith and her brother watched over her. Malcolm had not an idea that his sister was seeing Keith which they couldn’t let him know. Twists, turns, kidnapping and love
I’m on the fence with this one. Part of my problem is that I skipped book 1 and so I didn’t understand the characters and why they had the issues they did. That may be why I didn’t connect with them as I could have had a began at the beginning of the series. It also seemed to move a bit slow for my taste.
Keith is like an honorary member of Katrina’s family and works at the FBI with her brother, Malcom. Katrina decides that she wants to explore her submissive side and thinks Keith would be perfect to train her. First he turns her down, but then he realizes he will do it. He tells her right away that he is not a good man. Quickly Katrina is able to spark things in him that he has never felt before. Will he accept the new him or will his old ways push Katrina away. It was a good story overall.
This is the very first title l have read from this author on this genre. Wow, super hot read with a gripping story too, l loved it. Katrina has always loved her brother’s best friend Keith. Keith has always known having a sexual relationship with Mal’s younger sister was never going to happen because her brother would kill him. Kathrina has always wanted to explore the life of being a sub, wanting to be trained by Great Dom into the lifestyle. She asks Keith, who immediately refuses, so she then asks another Dom who also refuses. Eventually, she gets Keith to agree and they embark on a journey of discovery, where both learn to be better versions of themselves and ultimately fall in love. I enjoyed this book so much, l have two more from the series to read waiting in my library.

Keith Rosetti and Katrina Legato have been secretly lusting after one another for 10 years, ever since he kissed her oh her 18th birthday. She claims he ruined her for all other men. Keith is known for being stoic and emotionless especially when it come to his subs. Now Trina has asked him to train her in D/s. If he refuses, she informs him she will find someone else who is willing. Add to that, Katrina has a stalker. Someone who's been in her condo, moved her things and stolen her property. Keith, Malcolm and two other agents take on the job of finding the suspect and protecting her. Somewhere along the way, Keith loses his cold, hard demeanor and develops feelings he's never experienced before.
Dirty and Sexy This book is NOT for the soft and light hearted. This Book is for those who not just likes kink. But, it says for those who not only lives the life. It’s for those who want to know about bdsm. All That this book does or doesn’t have, it definitely but has such a hot, dirty, sexy and borders on mind blowing orgasmic-ish... ...don’t read alone...wink-wink...
This is the first time I have ever read anything from this author, and I’m looking forward to seeing more like Book 1 and Book 3. Heck the whole series if possible.

I thought this book was superb. It's very well written, the dialogue flows wonderfully and the story itself has enough suspense to keep the reader fully engaged, and enough steam without being gratuitous. I started reading this book, but after a couple of pages decided to put it down and read the first book before it. I'm so glad I did - it rounded out the characters and story perfectly. Although I don't feel you would definitely have to read them in order, I think in this case I benefitted. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

I have never really understood all the books written in which men warn their friends off having a relationship with their sister. I mean if they were friends with a guy you would think they would want that to happen. OK. Not in this book. I can definitely see why Malcolm would warn Kat away from Keith. We women are a sucker for a wounded hero that we need to save. Maybe not so successful in real life, but in this book it works. Again because of the interesting characters and great story writing of Michele Zurlo. She combines romance, relationships, kink and adventure into terrific books.

Re/Paired is the second book in Michele Zurlo’s Doms of the FBI series focusing on Keith Rossetti, an FBI agent who is a Dom with a history of child abuse, and Katrina Ligato, an FBI attorney who challenges Keith to be a better person. Katrina has wanted Keith for a long time and wants to be his sub. When Katrina starts being stalked, Keith takes on the assignment of protecting her and finding the suspect. I recommend this suspenseful read with its complex characters, an intriguing plot, sizzling attraction, and a journey to love.

I can't believe I've just found you, Michelle Zurlo. And these hottie Doms of the FBI. Keith and Katrina are intriguing, well written characters. Katrina is determined, whip smart, sensible, and compassionate and knows there is more to Keith than he shows to the world. Keith thinks he is damaged, cruel, and unlovable. The book is well paced, descriptive, and has some interesting twists and turns. This is the second book in the series, but I felt it could be read as a standalone. I'm hooked on these Doms. I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
Book 2 in the series is really good. This is Keith and Katrina's story. He is her brother's best friend, so they've known each other forever. Wanted each other forever, though never said it out loud. He is a harsh Dom with some significant baggage and she a tentative, beginner sub. Could this ever work? Can they adapt to satisfy each other, do they even want to try? Bondage, spanking, anal.

WOW! This is a book that isn’t for everyone, there are some BDSM scenes that are not everyone’s cup of tea. If you like things a little different than the mainstream BDSM books that are out there, then this might just be what you are looking for. This is a fairly new author to me but I’m planning on reading a lot more by her. Loved this book.

Brilliant read, deep romantic suspense, Keith had always loved Katrina, from the moment his best friend, and her brother Keith bought him home and the family more or less adopted him. Keith was from a broken family so he saw himself as broken but being a Dom gave him a control he needed and now Katrina had asked him to train her. A must read that sucks you in from the start.

I love this series with all the twist ,turns and adventure with lot's of hot FBI agents thrown in to the mix. This is very descriptive with lots of Dom/Sub scenes. The story is about Keith and Katrina, Keith is damaged and carry's a lot of anger and pain from his family dysfunction. But Kat has known him most of his life, her love and support gets finally gets to him. There are lots of twists to this book, you will enjoy the story, the super hot and steamyness of it.
This author manages an almost perfect blend of smexy romance and mystery/suspense. The characters are compelling and believable. The relationship progression is consistent with their characters and smexy bits are four and five flames. The only real flaw is that Kat is far to intelligent and well-trained as an FBI attorney not to have suspected the bad guy before she did and to get herself into the final dangerous situation.
This story was definitely worth the read. These characters wouldn’t let me stop reading from beginning to end. Michele Zurlo is going to be one of my top story tellers. Highly recommend if you like love and plenty of spice with a hot dominant male this book is for you
