Gale's book is out of print but a few remain available in the used book shops.
I recommend it for entry-level college students or power high school students. Let's call it "sheltered" for readers new to intellectual subjects.
Some pre-Socratics, Aristotle, Augustine, Bacton, Berkeley, Boyle, causal relations, coherence, conceptual system, Copernicus, Descartes, Einstein, and many others add to the lessons herein. No, Eddington is not listed for Einstein fans, but there's plenty between the pages for new and returning students.
I note that the text is sometimes a bit tedious because of the wordy explanations; they will serve those new to these subjects very well.
