The Last Second

Rate this book
As the loud bang of the last shot fired echoes through her head, Naomi finds herself horrified by the site before her. With Taylor lying helpless at her feet, and Christopher crumpled lifeless to the floor in front of her, her body becomes paralyzed with fear not only for the lives of those around her, but also by the thought of seeing Michael’s face when he learns that he has lost the one person that meant more to him than anything. Finding himself in yet another situation that he can’t control, Michael clutches tightly to the unconscious body of Kristen as they rush her to the hospital. As his anger towards her quickly washes away, he focuses all of his attention now on the life of her child, and hoping desperately that it will not be lost. Unaware that he has already lost the life of his brother, who he is fighting so hard to save. As one struggles with guilt and the other with rage, lines will be drawn, and paths will be created. And in the last second decisions will be made.

It was a good write, and from what I hear, a good read. Again, could use more editing. It's hard to juggle work, kids, and writing all at the same time. Maybe if I won the lottery or published with a real publisher...this book would have been perfect! What do you think?
