I write what I love to read—irresistible romance, from sweet to steamy and everything in between. I grew up in a small town and was once a landlord of two uninvited squirrels. For notifications on all my book releases, subscribe to my newsletter: http://eepurl.com/rx_AL

One Night With the Bride (1Night Stand)

4 .5 out of 5 stars for a short but sexy sweet story.

Caroline is a week away from getting married when her mother decided to surprise her with a last minute gift. Not your typical gift, her mother is worried that Caroline is headed to a boring sex life in the marriage bed just like her parents, so dear old Mom is paying for one last fling. Caroline is strictly against this, but does want to see how her old flame and friend is doing with the business that they used to dream of together.

Javier isn't looking for a fling. Heck, he isn't even looking for sex. He's really looking for a President of Operations and just so happens that a favor he never though would be returned comes back to him in the form of a blind date. He especially never thought it would be Caroline, the woman he loved so many years ago that tore his heart out and never looked back.

Things heats up but then take an unexpected turn. Just when Caroline finally seems to be on the right track to happiness thing to wrong. I admit that I like a book where the lead female pulls herself back together and is ready to keep on moving. But that's not where the story ends...you have to read the book to find out what happens from there.

Thanks to Decadent Publishing for the opportunity to promote and review this story! Thanks to Sara Daniel for creating a story that made me want to live in Montana!!

I love that the heroine's mother is actually the one that gifted the 1NS and wanted her daughter to find love, not just a "business" deal. That's my perspective anyway. I love that Madame Eve was able to work her magic, yet again and bring two people together that may not have in normal circumstances. I also loved that this was a second chance romance too!

I love the 1ns series and I love the lovers reunited trope. This was great.

It was alright but not spectacular. I found the whole premise of having a one night stand to someone from her past and then declaring her undying love for him the next day and living happily ever after a little too far fetched. Maybe if this short story was a little longer and more expanded it would have gotten a higher rating from me. But then it wouldn't be a short story.

One Night with the Bride by Sara Daniel is a short, fun and erotic read. It’s the first book in Sara’s One Night Stand series. Each of the books spotlights a one-night stand set up using Madame Eve’s elite matchmaking service. This story grabbed my attention from the very first sentence when our heroine, Caroline Sunburst, shrieked: “It’s a week before my wedding, and you’re giving me what?”

In this novella, Caroline is a hotel magnate’s privileged daughter residing in San Diego. She’s slated to walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Blake Wellington in a week’s time. As the story opens, Caroline’s mother has just gifted Caroline a prenuptial gift of a night of passion. Caroline’s mother wants Caroline to experience impassioned pleasure before she marries Mr. Stuffed Shirt. Caroline is understandably shocked and vows that she would never cheat on her future husband. However, when her mother shares that her affair will take place at the Alvarado Ranch Resort in Montana, Caroline is tempted to attend even though she still vows she will remain faithful. This is because Caroline hopes to get a glimpse of Javier Alvarado, who had stolen her heart years ago, before her father forced her to drop Javier like a hot potato. Upon learning where her night would take place and despite her misgivings, Caroline resolves to go to the Alvarado Ranch Resort, satisfy her curiosity over what Javier had become and spend the night alone.

Javier Alvarado is our hero, a Hispanic male. He was promised a one night stand by Madame Eve when he allowed Madame Eve to use his hotel for one of her client’s one night stands a while ago. He had assumed that Madame Eve had forgotten that she had promised him his own one-night stand in payment. When he receives the text from Madame Eve informing him that his one-night stand was scheduled to occur that very evening, he can’t believe it as he’s had an extremely rough day trying to run the property on his own. The man who was supposed to arrive to interview for the president of operations position had stood him up. Now Caroline Sunburst, his old flame, has arrived just when he’s filthy from breaking in a new wild horse.

I love the cover to this book as it seems to scream “come hither.” Since this was a second chance romance and Caroline and Javier had known each other intimately previously, it didn’t seem strange at all that their relationship escalated so quickly upon meeting again. The chemistry between Caroline and Javier is relaxed, again, because they had history, and sizzlin’ hot. I could feel the immediate attraction and the heat between the interracial couple as I turned the pages. The author does a great job developing the story line and engaging the reader with the characters within the book’s 38 pages. The writing is fluid and the heat level is juicy HOT.

One Night with the Bride is a perfect beach read, or a book to grab as you curl up in your easy chair. Be ready to be treated to humor, hot, spontaneous sex, and soul-searching reflection. A sprinkling of Madame Eve’s magic dust is clearly some genuine abracadabra!!! No wonder her service is so highly recommended!

I am happy I had a chance to read One Night with the Bride. I think it is a solid erotic romance.

Seriously Caroline's mother bought her and her BFF a one night stand. Ummmm weird. Aside from that this was a good book. It reminded me of a mixture of Sweet Home Alabama and The Notebook. For a short story there was a ton of substance I don't think I've ever read this author but this is a wonderful book and I love that they were previously in love. I also felt the emotions with the characters which is normally extremely difficult with short stories.

I don't know why I hated this story, but I truly did. It was more an erotica story than a romance and pretty smutty erotica at that.
