Flynn Gifford is enjoying a simple existence in a rural Derbyshire village when Caroline Rogers crashes into his life, barefoot and panicked.
Their lives could hardly be more different—she owns a successful luxury hotel chain, and he’s a penniless nomad who’s off the grid—yet neither can deny the attraction that burns between them. As Caroline reluctantly starts to open up to him, Flynn finds himself divulging some secrets of his own, secrets he thought he’d take to his grave.
But can a billionaire and a wild man ever make a relationship work, or will their secrets keep them apart?

Funny, sweet and endearing, this book is perfect for a little pick me up. Caroline is the billionaire in this story and it's nice to see how Ms. Felthouse plays it out. Usually, when a woman makes more than a man, the man can't handle it. In this scenario, the woman makes a lot more and the man is no virgin boy toy. Instead, Flynn is a battle scarred veteran who is AWOL. Can this mix get any worse? Why yes it can!
What happened to Flynn breaks my heart a little. And who knows how many men and women in the service have experienced something similar? This is soul crushing and gives this story a bit more emotional oomph. Whilst Flynn and Caroline's situations are wildly different, they are able to bond over their feelings of being out of control. Because essentially, this is what is going on for both of them. They both are overwhelmed in their situation and they broke. They checked out of life in some ways. Finding each other is the catalyst to bring them back. This slow and unconventional courtship is sweet and fun. There are times where the past comes to haunt them but overall, this is an uplifting story. And the sexual chemistry between the two of them is hawt as to be expected from talented Ms. Felthouse.
The conclusion came quite quickly and felt a little too pat. Still, the ending is satisfying in many ways. Caroline's relationship with her mother is and Flynn and Caroline's relationship starting anew. This is a lovely romance recommended for erotic readers who enjoy unlikely lover pairings.

The Billionaire and the Wild Man is the first double header from two of my favourite writers - Lucy Felthouse & Victoria Blisse.
I liked the premise - the Billionaire is a female for a change. A Billionaire on the verge of a nervous breakdown - especially as Caroline is currently under the 'care' of her not so motherly mother.
After finding a dishevelled woman running towards him Flynn does all he can to calm her down. Their friendship quickly develops and each other finds the other intriguing and both in need of help.
Will Flynn be able to save himself and Caroline?
A treat to read - had me laughing and had me close to tears in a few parts.
Caroline Rogers is a self-made woman having a rough patch. She owns a luxury hotel chain, but got caught up in all the pressure and had a bit of a meltdown. Now, she's in northern England recuperating under the watchful eye of her harping mum. She's seeing a psychiatrist every few days and trying not to strangle her mother for being a mean-spirited, overprotective nag; their relationship has always been problematic.
After a particularly gruesome shouting match, Caroline hopped over the stone wall at the back of the garden and encountered Flynn Gifford, a clearly unkempt homeless man, picking up litter as an odd job. He's sweet and a little saucy with her, shaking her from her doldrums. Carrie wants to forget all her troubles--personal and professional--so she joins Flynn in the work, despite being barefoot and half-hysterical. They pass the time talking, and both open up; Carrie about her breakdown, and Flynn about his career in the Armed Service, and how he's AWOL after a mission went bad. The lack of judgment on either side is refreshing for both. As a favor, Carrie invites Flynn to return to her mum's house later, when she knows her mother will be gone, so he can get a shower and shave.
The attraction that had developed during their talk is only bolstered by increased company. I'd thought this book would be erotica, honestly, but it's more a straight romance. These two lost souls find each other at just the right moment. They each need support and comfort, and a little bit of protection, too. They pass a few days together, and it looks like Carrie's about to propose something wild, but before they can get too far Flynn does what he needs to do: account for himself with the service. He can't very well court a woman like Carrie if he's off the grid, can he? Plus, he's got loads of pride and wants to be able to make something of himself, other than a beggar boy-toy. Not that Carrie ever treated him as such. Her heart's broken when she finds him gone, but that break is necessary for both Carrie and Flynn to put their respective worlds in order.
I really liked this one. It was honest and practical, and still very sexy and emotional. These two get battered a bit in life, no matter their financial circumstances, and they're guarded. Giving confidence to a stranger was never in the plan, yet it worked so beautifully for those shining moments. Flynn's a stand-up guy, who won't let Carrie boss him around, though, and when he makes good on his promise to find her once he's made his amends I really felt for him. She doesn't make apologizing easy, but I understood that too! Her heart was torn up, and she's finally gotten over him, only to have him return?
Still, the reunion is sweet (after all the shouting and tears!) and the future looks brighter than ever before. It's tender and touching and real. I really enjoyed it!
This is not the first book from either Lucy Felthouse or Victoria Blisse that I have read, but it is the first written by both, and I was not disappointed.
The story revolves around the story of Carrie Rogers, a billionaire businesswoman recovering from a nervous breakdown, and Flynn Gifford, ex-Army and living off-the-grid in Derbyshire. They meet by chance, and begin a beautiful affair. I say beautiful and not passionate, because despite the obvious sexual tension, it does take a while for them to make good on it!
However, there is more to it than the relationship between the billionaire and the wild man. Readers are drawn into the turbulent relationship with Carrie and her overbearing mother. Personally, I felt like I was meant to loathe her mum, but I didn't. I pitied her, and wanted to think that she had Carrie's best interests at heart.
Flynn clearly wants to be the Alpha male and be in control, and comes cross as the strong and silent type, which is not surprising when we find out more about his past. His life in the Army comes back to haunt him, affecting his relationship with Carrie, and for a while I did wonder how it was going to end.
It's listed on Amazon as an erotica, however there is so much story that I would say it is more a erotic contemporary romance. The story is written in first person, with each chapter switching to either Carrie or Flynn's POV, which makes a nice change from third or consistent first. There were occasions when I had to remind myself whose POV I was reading from. Saying that, it is well-written and easy to lose yourself in. I had to force myself to put it down otherwise I would have read it in a matter of days rather than weeks.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good contemporary romantic with erotic scenes.
I was very intrigued by this book. Usually the man is the billionaire, I loved how the roles were reversed in this! The book was well written and i enjoyed the banter. As an American, some of the slang/saying I didn't understand but with context I got the jist of it. It didn't deter me from finishing the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I can honestly say I've never read anything like this book, but in a good way!
I received an ARC of this book and am willingly giving an honest review.
The Billionaire and the Wild Man by Lucy Felthouse and Victoria Blisse I gotta say it is nice to finally see a Billionaire woman in a story. It is usually a Billionaire playboy trying to win the heart of some woman but not this time. This story could have actually happened. It seemed so real. The stress of being a CEO could lead you to unexpected places. Your mind is wide open for many new adventures and it seems like Carrie has just found her new adventure. Flynn is on his own adventure on the run but he never expected to run into someone that would change his life for the better. These two are perfect for each other but they really need to get their lives together before anything can happen. Sometimes we have to face our past in order to have a great future. I’m pretty sure these two are on the right track. I received this copy as a gift for an honest review.
MMC/FMC- Flynn and Carrie POV- 1st person dual Genre- Contemporary Romance Sub Genre- Billionaire Romance Heat- they do the thing and name the parts Language- British English Series? N Cliffhanger? N HEA/HFN? Y Triggers- language, sex Tropes- Lady and the Tramp, Workaholic Heroine What I liked- I liked that the traditional gender roles were reversed; she’s the billionaire. Also, he accepted that there were consequences to his actions. What I didn’t- there needed to be consequences to her actions. Verdict- recommended. This book was unusual in a good way. I received a review copy for free and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
I felt the story started out kind of slow, but once the pieces fell into place, I was hooked on it. It's a quirky story of two people, each with their own problems and from completely different backgrounds and societies. When Flynn Gifford, the Wild Man, meets a barefooted Caroline (Carrie) Rogers, the Billionaire from London, he would have never guessed who and what she was -- a very successful businesswoman. Somehow these individuals manage to help each other by opening up and letting the other, with steamy sex and some heartache thrown in. Neither was in a position to look for a relationship, but after many ups and downs, a long separation, and tears and anger, they're able to admit they want their relationship to work.
An absolute treat to read. Flynn is the wild man of the title, to the untrained eye he's a scruffy tramp picking litter in the beautiful Peak District. A crazy, barefooted woman appears in the field and everything changes for both of them. I loved that Caroline was the billionaire and Flynn's back story really moved me. The story had me hooked, made me chortle and sniffle and I adored picking out the places named as they are local to me. A romantic and very sexy book that I will be recommending to one and all.
