Lundy, VA is a small state line town in the Appalachian Mountains. During a music festival, the town is rocked by a string of gruesome murders. It is up to Detective Jack Stryver to hunt down and capture this murderer before the festival is over.

Jack has his own demons to deal with as well. The anniversary of the capture of his father’s killer falls during the festival as well. With cutbacks to the department, Jack is unable to leave town to battle his demons on his own. Now he must deal with mistakes of his past while working with a young detective, Haley Brown, to capture the person responsible for the deaths of all these women.

Haley has an agenda of her own as well. Her eyes are set on Jack. Will Jack be able to deal with his past and a possible future, all while looking for a killer.

I received this book, 72 Hours by Brandon Mahoney in exchange for an honest review. First off, I really enjoyed reading this fantastic crime story enough to give it five stars, and from the beginning to the end there's not a dull moment.
