Tagline: POSSESSING MAGIC DOESN'T GUARANTEE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER. OR DOES IT?
From the immensely successful world of BLOOD AND SNOW comes a new series ~ THE CINDY CHRONICLES.
This story will be told in six volumes.
"Witch Magic" is book one.
Summary:
Cindy is a witch destined to make out with her boyfriend... and save the magical land of Polonais.
Summary for the whole series:
Life sucks. Possessing magic sucks. What doesn’t suck? Fashion, Cindy's boyfriend Gabe, and her best friend, Snow White.
Cindy (Cinderella…shhh, don’t tell) was born a witch. It’s part of who she is. But there’s more to her than that. She loves deeply. And has a big heart. She’d do anything for those she cares about, including risk her own life to save theirs.
When her fairy godmother demands she leave Salem, Massachusetts and return to the land she was born to rule, she has two options. Tell her fairy godmother no, and seal a death sentence on complete strangers. Or, leave all she’s ever known behind, including the love of her life, for an unknown land she’s fated to save.
So, yeah, life sucks. But Cindy is determined to change that.

Lovely story, just not long enough! I was just getting into it when it ended :-) RaShelle Workman has done it again. Cindy is a great Character. Sweet & Funny. I cant wait for #2
3.5 Stars Witch Magic was alright, I liked Cindy much better in this than in Cindy Wtich. Her narrative was wayyy better and it wasn't trying too hard to be a trendy teen. I liked the names for the fairy godmother and the prince wayyy better than in Cindy Witch.
I don't mind the Blood and Snow series as awhole though. They are fun, mindless and super quick reads. Fun for inbetween books!
Book is very interesting. Would be more so if I could read all the books in read order. Cinderella is a witch and she needs to save her home land. What is killing her home land and why is she the ONLY one who can save it?
I like the idea of making up more of the fairy tales older generations know. They are great ideas. This one is too short I didn’t want to leave yet. It has a very different take on how the princesses changed after they became woman.
While I liked the plot and the characters, my major issue was the writing which I will admit was not the best. The writing had that "and I did this, and I did that" format which only made the story even more boring. Not to mention, the book is predictable at times, and while reading, I felt like this book was not written for a YA audience but for a middle grade audience. I don't know if I will be reading any more books from this series, but what I do know is that I need to be more picky when selecting which YA books to read.
Well Witch Magic was certainly an interesting story, I did lose myself a few times but nonetheless it was a good book. However by the time I had reached the end of the story I realized not much had actually happened. The book stops in the middle of the story. Actually more like halfway through the beginning. Now I am a fan of short stories but in opinion this book was basically set up to be a series, which I see as cheating! A story should have a sequel because it's good not because it's completely unfinished. Despite this the story had some beautiful descriptions and intriguing characters, and an unusual tone to it, so have decided (due to the fact that my brain will explode without knowing) to read the next couple of books, to see how the story develops. And this isn't because I got a cheap deal on the whole 6 books. I wouldn't recommend this to everybody, mostly just to fantasy readers and magic lovers. Not gonna lie, it's not the best book in the world but it is a nice (start to a) story.
this story is quite different but that same with some characters from snow and blood series and has a different flare in it to read more start with blood and snow the complete series then cindy the book of blood and snow then this one and see how it is if you have you know what i mean read on thought i had reviewed it but only did it on amazon not here
Cindy is not as interesting to me as Snow. I found her break up with Gabe rather sudden and kind of convenient to the story line. Still, I liked the Blood & Snow series so I will probably read this complete series.
Love this! Was a fan of Blood and Snow series so when I saw that Cindy was getting her own Chronicles I couldn't wait. Nice to know as a 'grown up' I can still enjoy reading about Snow White & Cinderella
I liked it, but there are a couple of inconsistencies that are sort of driving my crazy. The Fairy Godmother's name is different in this book than it was in Cindy Witch, and Leo is also referred to as Leolas and Leolar... so which is it?
