⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Oh Alice…when will you learn it’s not always about you & what you want…& Fain…always trying to be the protector…not that there’s anything wrong with that…eventually you will learn that not every woman likes to be so overprotected…especially when the man chooses wrong sometimes
I must say each book keeps getting better…this one made me feel all of my feelings Two deaths devastated me & one was a complete stranger…then there’s Ridley’s new wife…not a fan of Lida…I hope she throws herself off a cliff…Ridley & Mira deserve some happiness…& of course the little Crown Prince is always good for a laugh…he can be a bit of a brat but in the best way possible
We do get a slight glimpse of Alice’s life before she became a Fae but you will have to read the book to find out why/how…I’ve had a lot of questions since book 1 about some of her family members…glad some of those questions are being answered
We also meet Guillaume…I wish he could teach me some of his magic…I’d love to know how to turn a stiff uh just read the book
I am so ready for book 4…A Place of Rage & Ruin…now that Fain has seen what some of his 1/2 Fae Magic can do I need to know what the future holds for Fain & Alice
I've never really been an avid reader for this genre of Fairies, the Fae and the like but I'm glad I decided to give this series a go. Great characters and really enjoy the complexity of them and the whole overall plot of this book and the previous two, which has me excited to complete the rest of the series. It has the typical sense of darkness that seems to exist within the realm of Fae but this seems to be a level darker which really for me adds an emotional element to the read, which leaves me wanting more from each page and chapter. One of these days I'm going to sit down and re-read the whole series again from the beginning to the end to simply get that sense of accomplishment that comes when you can read a complete series.

Confronted by enemies in every direction, our heroine does her best to protect her friends, even if that means she is captured. How can she survive that and find her way back to our hero?
This is book three of the series. It does okay as a standalone, but this series is definitely better if read in order.
This is a fantasy story featuring the fae. The story is well written and comes with a well detailed and fascinating setting. The characters are also well developed and provide an excellent cast for our story. Including the fae in the story means there is plenty of intrigue, as well as action making for a fast paced story. Overall, it was a lot of fun. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.
Highly recommended.

I heart Ellie Sanders fantasy writing so much. Be prepared to be transported to an epically magical and dangerous land where nothing is ever as it seems. Once again my heart crunched as our Fae girl Alice battles her way through the dark forces trying to use her for their own reasons. Any wait for more!!!.

There was so much pain and turmoil in this book that it took my breath away. The torture that Alice went through at the hands of Yannis. The rift between Alice and high Prince Fain made me cry. And to find out that her aunt was part of her capture and torture. I really can't wait for the next 2 books.

Third book in the series and it was a rip-roaringly good! Very emotional as you can't help but get drawn into the story of Alice and Fain's relationship. Each book draws you in further and further until you are just so impatient for the next one! Fantastic!.

I just love this series. The detail in every character and the world they exist in is so real you can imagine yourself there. Chemistry between the MCs is steamy and intense. There is a lot of action with twists and turns. I can't wait for book 4.

I really, really wanted to love this as much as I loved books 1 & 2. However, the typos, grammatical errors, and funky punctuation choices left me thoroughly disappointed and I couldn't make it past 26%. I'm unable to finish this series at this point. 🫤
I'm so sad because I adore Alice and Fain, but editing fell flat and left much to be desired.
At least it was acknowledged that Alice and Fain basically jumped into a relationship without knowing each other.
I don't have the book beside me, and I don't want to get the spelling wrong, so The Fae Guy makes very fair points. Uther annoys me. Fain has growing and groveling to do.
