The contrast between Kai as a strong fighter and his need to submit to a Master who tells him what to do drives this story. While he has a man in mind, one whom he loves but thinks is unattainable, the need to belong to someone is so strong that he ends up joining a BDSM site. The Master he finds there is forceful, but wears a mask, and Kai doesn't get to see him for their first physical encounter.

The dilemma would be likely to tear Kai apart had it lasted any longer than a few days. On the one hand there is Liam, his sponsor's son, and the man Kai has fallen in love with. On the other, there is the strong Master who has Kai all wound up, but is an unknown. Lucky for Kai, there is an easy solution.

The bedroom activity in this story is quite rough, but all welcomed and wanted by Kai. His need to be a "good boy" is great, and most of the suffering is very welcome sexual torture. If you like stories about submissives in desperate need of a Master, if you enjoy reading about that Master using their body for their pleasure, and if you're looking for a hot read with a touch of back story, you will probably like this book.

3.5 Kisses!

I was in the mood for something different, so when I read the blurb to Pretty Boy by Ana Raine, I knew I had to read it. Ms. Raine is a new author for me and I have to say I really enjoyed her characters and storytelling ability.

What I liked about this book was the sizzling chemistry Kai and his ‘master’ had together. Although when Kai is around his masked ‘master’ he can’t help but think of Liam, whom he has feels for. Although, the book is a little predictable, I still liked the journey it took me on. It was easy to like Kai and understand why he drives himself so hard both at fighting for the UFC and for the hope of having Liam in his life. This is a quickly told tale and a hot one too. The BDSM isn’t over the top, so even those who aren’t big fans of this type of genre; it is still a good choice for them.

I do wish the book had been longer. I would have liked to have read more about Kai and Liam and see how things work out for them, but for a short, sexy read this is definitely a good option.

Sexy, interesting and with enough intrigue to satisfy most readers, Pretty Boy is a great book to read if you’re looking for an hour or so of pure escapism. I’m looking forward to reading more books by Ms. Raine in the future. Recommended!
