Katerina finds herself in a vulnerable position after a cruel prank at her new school. She's rescued and taken to a remote cabin by Carlo who's been posing as a janitor at the school but is actually one of her eight stepbrothers whom she's never seen before. Things quickly heat up between the two and they begin feeling an emotional connection, and then Pietro shows up. The trio make their way to the stepbrothers' home in the Cayman Islands, where she meets her remaining stepbrothers, Stefano, Fabio, Luca, Enzo, Roberto, and Giovanni, and she realizes they have a hidden agenda of seeking revenge against their father. The story explores the dynamics between Katerina and her stepbrothers, blurring the lines between heroes and players in their twisted game, but the brother’ quest for revenge seems short lived almost as soon as they meet Katerina. The relationships moved quickly, and it seemed like several of the brothers were somewhat superficial - this often seems to happen in RH stories with larger sizes where characters' development is sacrificed. Given the number of men the hot and steamy scenes were frequent but didn’t necessarily push the boundaries. The ending felt really rushed in terms of what I expected much more with the father given how central that was to the story, and I wasn't certain if Katerina was still involved with all eight of her stepbrothers or just Carlo.

Stefano, Pietro, Luca, Fabio, Carlo, Enzo, Giovanni, Roberto

There were things I really enjoyed and some things that I just didnt jive with. That's okay though because reading is subjective. I still enjoyed the time I spent immersed in this world.

Here are some of my thoughts as I read:

-The masks around the campfire perfection. As a horror fanatic I appreciated that detail.

-The lake scene was torture to my soul for Katerina

-I felt the character building for Katerina was a little stunted and maybe a bit rushed for the boys.

-Some of the dialogue felt a bit jumbled and the time line a bit confusing at times.

-She just easily accepts them at face value. I know she has a big secret of her own and she's got some pretty big insecurities but after what she went through her whole life, including at school and the lake I thought she would be a bit more guarded.

-Poor naive girl! Wtf are you doing?!

-The brothers quick turn from wanting to destroy her to save her felt a bit rushed. 2 weeks and one crying session later and they're ready to be her saviors. Didnt feel like a natural progression.

-For Carlo to feel that way made sense, having been watching her for so long and then alone with her the most. The others just didnt make logical sense to me.

-The way the author set the scenes was like watching a 3D film unfold in the theater of my mind. I especially loved the imagery in the beginning of Chapter 21.

-My emotions while reading this were all over the place.

-Ended rather abruptly and I'm left wondering what exactly they did to land their father in jail. Too many loose ends left for my taste.

This what a medium sized reverse harem book, which revolved around a girl, Katerina, who basically gets taken by her stepbrothers so they can break her, but they end up falling for her.

In my opinion, it was very confusing, not just because there were 8 main characters. It definitely felt like they kept getting mixed up and at some point I was like did she end up with all of them or not? In addition, it felt like things kept getting revealed every chapter and just ignored like we weren't just told that information then 6 chapters later it pops back out and its meant to be shocking like we weren't told that millenniums ago.

I found the relationship between her and Carlo quite cute, but then again it was also very messy. There was no actual depth in any of the characters, but hey there was a lot of smut if you want that. I just think this book had a whole lot of no plot and lots of smut, where every brother had a basic maximum of 1 scene with her and that was it, except for Carlo.

To conclude, at the end of the book, there was lots of loose connections, and I actually was left very confused. Did she only end up with Carlo? What happened to her dad? Very unsure on how to feel.

Part of Loving in Numbers series actually the first book in the series seems like it is going to be a pretty good series, dark but good so if you have some triggers be warned this is my first book by this author but I liked it but it was a little all over the place. Katrina is new to school, not really knowing what to expect but definitely not expecting the mean girls to play a trick on her so server that her brother steps in to protect her. But the thing about her brothers Fabio, Luca, Enzo, Roberto, Carlo, Pietro, Stefano, and Giovanni steps in with ulterior motive they aren’t in it to help her there is more to the eight of them than meets the eye. Her brothers take off to an island to break her …well it started out that way, but she quickly changes their hearts they go from breaking to protecting her but never leaving the singular view of taking revenge on their father using or getting her to agree to help them. Things go from protection to so much more the moment she is brought to the island between all the brothers, but she and Carlo seem to have a much closer connection, but do they get the revenge on their father as planned, do the mean girls get what they deserve, why do her brothers want revenge on their father, and where are they headed?

This mafia RH is fast-paced, short, and steamy. The characters in this book were definitely surface level on emotions, backstory, and connections, but the schmexy times were enjoyable. I definitely wish each of the men had more spotlight moments (particularly the triplets) but this is a short story. Katerina was a likable FMC and the men were good. There is Stefano, Fabio, Pietro, Luca, Enzo, Carlo, Roberto, and Giovanni. If you’re looking for something with deep characters, this isn’t the book for you, but if all you need are major steamy scenes… pick this book up!

Tropes: Contemporary romance, mafia romance, reverse harem, age gap, virgin heroine
Heat: 3/5.

I was excited to read this RH by Sarwah Creed and it was just okay. The story was very confusing at times and moved at the speed of light. I don’t really get into any one character as they all are just surface deep. Katerina has been down in her luck with a nonexistent mom. Mom gets remarried and now she has stepbrothers. Getting sent off to an academy with her insecurities is just the icing on the cake. Her 8, yes 8 stepbrothers find out that their dad is going to leave Katerina his fortune when she has a heir with a cousin. That will not do and the brothers plan to ruin Katerina. Kidnapping, steam, quick to accept her fate. The brothers hate her, the move and adore her.

8 brothers for the win

What would you do if you found out that you had not one but eight step brothers that you never knew about, and they just happened to kinda sorta kidnapped you with your permission? Thats the question for the lead fmc here when she is at school and gets the run in from the brothers. They have a diabolical plan to get back at their dad but it all goes wrong when they one by one start to fall for her. See how things change drastically, hearts are broken and mended, and how family is who and what you make it to be in this page turning book that leads to an HEA.

I like the concept and it has so much potential

I like the concept and it has so much potential that I picked this book because it was in a series, however, it was super super fast pace. I feel like there was a ton of information left out. Zero character building and I couldn’t connect with the characters. It didn’t feel like a series I felt like I was rushed thru the story and was confused by that. I did finish the book because I liked the idea of the storyline. If this book is ever revamped I would totally read it.

Ok so I liked the book. The plot was very interesting but unfortunately I don’t think it was executed to the best of its abilities! The flow was inconsistent with what I felt was time jumps not knowing if they were actual changes in time or changes between all the characters povs which made it a different day. Some parts were confusing because the brothers got mixed up in the same scene. I liked all the mc’s. They each had a role to play and I felt they did a good job. I do feel that there could’ve been less brothers and it wouldn’t have felt like some of them were lost within the story.

First book by this author and it was a good quick read. Some parts confused me but other than that it was a good book about a girl named Katerina and her eight stepbrothers. Katerina starts a new school and when the mean girls play a prank her stepbrother who was acting as a janitor saves her and from there she is brought to an island. Once she is on the island she realizes that they are trying to get revenge on their dad and she wonders why is she really there? Read to find out!!

steamy

I liked the drama in this book because there was so much family drama from the very beginning. The plot was great. I wish I could’ve found out what they did to their father at the end but I’m OK with not really knowing. The girl in the book sprinkled her love potion all over those guys they all fell head over heels for her immediately, which I thought was really cute. I read this book in a day. It really sucked me and get me captivated the whole

This is the first in the Loving in Numbers series. I believe, all standalone and different characters. A lot going on. Seems a little rushed at times, especially the ending. Maybe build up the backstory on the characters more. Still, enjoyed reading. Lots of HEAT.

Meh...

Not great. The pace was really jerky. On one page they wanted to stick with their plan and two pages later they wanted to protect her with nothing indicating a reason for the change. Things were glossed over and it was hard to follow. Too many characters for the plot and page number.

Not Enjoyable

Honestly, the concept of the book was great, but the writing and characters were terrible. The female MC has a background that should make her smarter, but instead, she's dumb enough to swim into a lake on a cold night when she can't even swim. I can't handle reading a book where the author doesn't even think properly about the characters or plot.

This one was a bit disappointing. I felt like there were gaps within the story which left me a bit confused as to what was actually going on. Things in the story were constantly changing without any info as to how they found out or how it changed. The spice level was also disappointing.

This was a really good read. I don't read many reverse harem books that have this many men but I really enjoyed this one. I just really want to know what they did to get their father in jail.

A convoluted romp.

A bit too much angst for me. The story was fine, but the dialog was quite over the top rather than realistic. Fine for an evening's entertainment.
