Can they find the missing woman and the treasure before more bodies drop?
If you like an entertaining blend of cozy mystery, paranormal women's fiction, and a hint of romance, you'll love A Treasure Most Deadly. Read Book #8, the final book, in the Harper & Hattie Magical Mystery series. While this is a standalone mystery, the stories do build from one book to the other. Many readers enjoy reading them in order.
This has been one of my favorite stories. The characters became more like friends that I looked forward to seeing with each book. I would love to see this series continue because there are so many more tales to tell. Please don't let this be the last one!
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Harper Ryan is a journalist who works at a magazine in Little Rock Arkansas. She used to run her families major magazine in New York City until her father fired her. You can read more about that and book one. Harper also happens to be from a long line of women in the Ryan family with unique abilities. Basically they are witches of different types that can have cast visions in many other things. Her aunt owns a little shop in Little Rock and Harper lives there in Little Rock with her aunt and her fiancé Jackson has been helping local police solve a few crimes. Currently Harper and Jackson and Jackson sister Sarah and her fiancé Detective Granger as well as Harper‘s aunt Addie are all going on a 10 day cruise for Harper and Jackson and Sarah and Detective Granger to get married. Can they stay out of trouble on the cruise. Well read on and find out. Another great adventure.
I am sad this series is over. It has been a great ride with Hattie, Harper, the ghosts & the men in their lives. It seemed it would be impossible at the beginning to figure out why 2 women had been killed on 2 other cruise boats. Then a third one is attacked on their cruise. What followed was genius to me solving the cases & learning the truth. I love how Ms. Jones's mind works when she tells a story. She is one intelligent writer. I don't believe in ghosts or psychic abilities but I can enjoy books like this series. If you enjoy an excellent mystery, buy this series. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary opinion.
What a fitting end to a beloved series. A treasure hunt! The Harper & Hattie series took us on one heck of a beautiful, magical journey filled with murders to be solved and characters real and otherly who touched our hearts. But this last in the series is truly the best - a celebratory cruise that takes Harper & Hattie’s family to the jungle to find an ancient treasure. Who can be trusted? Is the treasure even real? A mystery where every last word is savored and TREASURED!

A fantastic and wild adventure closes out this awesome series. Extremely well written with great characters that I will miss but hope to see occasionally pop up in another series. Five stars is not enough. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series.
I love this series so I hope this isn’t the last one. I’d advise starting from the beginning just to see how the characters develop but you can really start at any point as the characters and situations are explained as you read.
I started this series when I was looking for a new author to read and I love the series, the characters are so fun to get to know. I finished the series before I realized it.
A Treasure Most Deadly is a marvelous adventure with more ghosts, an awesome mystery to solve and a new gift revealed for Harper. Such a wonderful book!
The entire series is very, very enjoyable. Each book seamlessly rolls over into the next book do you always have a sense in continuity. I really enjoyed the series.
