Claimed by an alien emperor. Made to submit night after night...
I didn't mean to catch Emperor Radakk's eye. As a reluctant spy aboard the human worldship, my life depends upon my ability to go unnoticed, to be nothing but a lonely shadow moving about the ship as I collect intel for my mutinous father. But when I'm caught spying on Emperor Radakk, the huge muscular Darrvason takes an immediate interest in me. He prevents my arrest, but his help comes at a price. Me. Turns out, the Darrvasons are low on females, and I'm soon selected as his mate.
Not only does the handsome, seven-foot-tall royal think he owns me, but he also believes it's his right to punish me, and when I defy him on our wedding night, he's quick to turn me over his knee.
As time goes on, I try not to let myself feel anything for the brutish male, but it's difficult to think clearly when his savage kisses and rough coupling leave me breathless with desire. Maybe we can find happiness together. Or maybe not. His obsession with me borders on madness, and I'm starting to worry I'll forever be his captive bride.
Publisher's Note: Radakk's Mate is a dark romance that includes power exchange, spankings, and intense sexual scenes. Please do not purchase or read this book if such material offends you.
USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR SUE LYNDON writes naughty, heartfelt romance filled with sexy discipline, breathless surrender, and scorching hot passion. Hard alpha males, strict husbands, fierce alien warriors, and stern daddy-doms make her go weak in the knees. She’s a #1 Amazon bestseller in multiple categories, including Sci-Fi Romance, Historical Romance, BDSM Erotica, and Fantasy Romance. She also writes vanilla sci-fi romance under the name Sue Mercury—but no matter the genre or pen name, her books always have a swoon-worthy happily ever after.
A perfect book for a man's pleasure. Not so much for a woman. These aliens have all the physical attributes men would typically want, two large cocks with vibrating balls along with the perfect submissive woman to serve him. Oh, and don't let me forget that the male has to 'feed' his mate daily by letting her swallow his semen from both cocks as she sucks them separately.
I guess the reader should be happy that he pleasures her in every way possible except, of course, when she's so sore she can't walk, and he doesn't care.
Overall, I skipped those parts I didn't like and enjoyed the parts I did. Sexual submissiveness in a woman is ok for some but not for me. Also, I prefer books that provide romantic and, yes, sometimes erotic pleasure for a woman. This book misses the mark.
I read books like this before but this is over the top. I couldn’t get through the book. I didn’t like how he treated her like a object and beat her to make her obey. I mean I read bdsm books but this is not even bdsm. I kept reading hoping radakk would be more kind to her or she would be stronger but this book was really sad and uncomfortable.
Riveting read, terrific characters and a plot that will hold you right to the end with humans and Aliens at loggerheads
Emperor Radakk’s meeting with the human officers on the Worldship was not as he had expected things to go, they had suddenly realised that there was a spy watching the meeting and she had heard all of the discussions and the repairs the Darrvason will carry out if they are given human females as mates.
As she watches in absolute horror it is on this occasion for the first time she has been spying as ordered by her father when she had only been five years of age and it seems that she is in hot water and even worse the Emperor Raddakk’s orders, he has decided she will be his choice of female, she is his “Little Spy” by the name of Thalia and she will be his beautiful Empress.
As a reluctant spy and now a reluctant mate Thalia is so grateful for the first time she is being fed, she has a bed to sleep in and is not being constantly terrorised by her father, uncles and cousins. It now seems that she is still being terrorised but this time it is the Head officer of the Worldship, he advises Thalia that he knows where her mother is but will only tell her when he has all his requests adhered to by the Darrvason and if she fails, he will never answer her questions and she will be forever left wondering.
This is an action filled book and I guarantee that you will find the actual relationsip between both Raddakk’ and Thalia are extremely complex and there are things that have happened which he would never of anticipated like the dreams and his itching ancestral marks that he never expects to see on his human mate.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

If this is the future of woman kind then we are screwed. All smut aside, I hated reading this the whole time and couldn't wait for it to be done. I don't care how someone dresses up submission and power exchange (there wasn't any), if there's no consent, concern for someone else's well-being, and well established communications then that is ABUSE plain and simple. I am well aware that this genre probably doesn't allow for any of that which brings me to the next annoying thing about this book. So humans have made it to the future but the women are still spineless and stupid? Nobody evolved enough to have any kickass survival assault skills and/or advanced level of intelligence?
Let me explain, whenever the emperor comes around she forgets all her anger at the kind of treatment she got and then waves of submission come over her. She thinks up all these plans and tells herself she's going to rebel but then turns into a hormonal mess whenever the emperor enters the room. There's a name for that condition. It's called Stockholm Syndrome. I thought she was useless and spineless.
As for Raddak, I despised him. The guy was controlling and abusive. Whenever Thalia didn't do what he tells her to do or makes a mistake he either punishes her or threatens to punish her. Not to mention, he was a one dimensional boring character. His feelings for Thalia were very much dependent on whether she ended up getting his markings on her arms.
Is this what women read these days? Reading this makes me realize that only the genre has changed but the context is still the same as romance from decades before where women have no personalities of their own and men enjoy all aspects of life. In any case, I won't be reading anymore stuff from this author. I read Tornn and Ellie's story also and it was more of the same. I read this one hoping it was just a different book but it was a mistake.
In the second part of the Worldship Brides series, we have the opportunity to know the fate of the leader of the Darrvason Empire and a little spy. Their accidental meeting affects the fate of both of them. For Thalia, on the one hand, it's a change for the better - she finally has the opportunity to break free from her father's tyranny and no longer has to worry about whether she won't be hungry for the next few days. On the other hand, entering the world of the Darrvasons requires her to adapt to their culture, where the male is dominating and requires complete obedience and submissiveness from his chosen mate. This applies not only to behavior in the bedroom but also in every aspect of her everyday life. For Radakk, having a human woman serves one purpose, which is having the required heir. However, Thalia awakens in him from the beginning lust and excitement at the idea of total control over her. It also evokes unknown feelings of tenderness and caring. As in the previous book, we have a lot of hot mating scenes and a few in which Radakk finds it necessary to spank Thalia to correct her behavior. In my opinion, however, there were too few situations in which I could feel the development of the emotional relationship between the characters. The second thing I wasn't entirely happy was the fact that at the beginning of the book, Thalia lived too much in her head and replayed all sexual interactions with Radakk in her mind. In my opinion, it didn't add much to her thoughts, and was just a repetition of earlier scenes. Nevertheless, I consider the book worth recommending to fans of the genre and I would love to know the fate of the next couple.

We get to find out what happens to Thalia and Emperor Radakk. If you read the first book in the series, Tornn’s Mate, you already know about the Darrvasons. They are an alien race that are too looking for a home world to settle in. They also are in need of females. With the Jansonna in need a major repairs, they make a deal. But earth women are not easy to tame. Thalia was looking for a way off the ship to find her mother. She certainly didn’t expect to be caught spying as well as becoming the Emperor’s new mate. There is cruelty within the Jansonna. CDR Hampton is the worst. We learn about his ways of interrogation. I have to say, I was sick to learn that CPT Warren is no better. What really went on in the Jansonna? It sounds like these people were treated with no justice or kindness at all. I was a bit upset about Thalia being kept away from the others for so long. I get the reason but still. And I am looking forward to Brute and Jenny. We would get a better view of what was happening on the Jansonna in that story.

The leaders of the human Worldship need fuel, supplies, repairs, and a habitable planet. The Darrvasons agree to supply help with all this in exchange for what they most need, females. During negotiations between the two groups Emperor Radakk realizes that the little human spy caught eavesdropping on the meeting is probably his mate. Thalia turns out to be the opposite of the biddable and obedient mate the Darrvasons demand. Radakk is determined to reign in her feisty behavior. Thalia doesn’t want to be tamed. She just wants to escape and find her mother. This is a well-written story with an interesting and complex plot and great characters. Radakk and Thalia are both strong-willed, determined characters. The story is filled with action, intrigue, lots of very steamy romance. The relationship between Radakk and Thalia is and will remain volatile until the heartbond forms. Is it even possible for Darrbasons to heartbond with human mates? A fantastic story that holds your attention and has a happy ending. This was a great book that drew me in right from the start and took me on a ride that was enjoyable. Thalia is a human female that lives on the spaceship Jansonna and has a very controlling father that tells her to spy on the negotiations between the Emperor Radakk and them but what she is surprised about her attraction to the Emperor who is off the charts sexy but he has a dominant side and when she gets caught spying by Radakk her life is about to change but is for the good or bad. Emperor Radakk is in negotiations with the humans when he scents his mate who is the female spying on him he decides to her as his own or have her arrested and that’s how Thalia ends up being with the Emperor as his mate and because his planet is short on females but she refuses to be his bed mate or anything else but its nice to have plenty of food but he demands obedience and to prove his point she gets a solid spanking for it and then a hot and steamy night but is that enough to build a future on or even fall in love. There is so much more to this book that will have the reader glued to this book.

"We’re too civilized for that sort of thing. At least I hope we are."
Thalia has lived her entire life on a worldship traveling through space, but everything is about to change, just not in the ways she was planning.
Radakk is a leader with the future of his species on his mind. He walks a fine line as he strives to build a viable future for his people, and himself.
This done in one Kindle unlimited book is character-centric, with the action/plot predominantly in the back half of the book after we, as readers, have gotten to know these characters and are invested in their relationship and journey.
A lot of series spend the first book establishing the Universe and cultures, and while this is the second book in the series it really felt like those world building aspects were deeply embedded and woven in -- almost subliminal in a way as they were a natural part of the characters daily concerns, and the baggage they carried from their past. Through Thalia we learn a great deal about life on the worldship -- despite it feeling like the majority of the book takes place elsewhere, a reminder that wherever we go, we carry our past with us.
(I'm repeating my review for the first book in the series here, because all the same things apply. I rated this on 3 stars instead of 4 only because it felt a little repetitive/rushed as it moves through the same timeline/events as the first book but with different characters. Review for 1st book is below.)
This is normally not my vibe at all. I SHOULD hate this. FMC with no agency, daddy dom/obedience kink, noncon/dubcon, and an alien culture that only values women if they are submissive, obedient baby factories who keep their opinions to themselves.
That being said, this is... incredibly well-executed and (at least to me) CONFUSINGLY hot.
I think a part of it is that the MC's actions are never motivated by cruelty. He's genuinely sweet, affectionate, and caring, and his treatment of the FMC is very cultural and the portrayal is very obviously about this author indulging in something she finds incredibly hot. And that REALLY comes through.
They also eventually develop a very loving relationship and build at least a modicum of mutual respect.
The Darrvason’s need human females for breeding purposes and finding the Human World ship Jansonna in need of repairs, fuel, supplies and a habitable planet has these aliens holding all the cards in this second book of the World ship Brides series. I enjoyed Radakk’s Mate finding MFC Thalia was a little feistier than Ellie was in the first book. When Thalia is caught spying on the negotiations between Emperor Radakk and leaders of the Jansonna she soon becomes of great interest to Emperor Radakk who immediately scents her as his mate. They will make quite a combustible pair in this entertaining Sci-Fi Romance with its intrigue, and plenty of hot mating by a very dominant Darrvason Emperor. The story was written well with good world building and keeps the reader invested in the outcome which for this couple was an HEA with the storyline to carry over into the next book.

Thalia (h), a reluctant spy aboard the human worldship, working under orders from her mutinous father, is caught spying on Emperor Radakk (H), the leader of the Darrvason Empire. Instead of punishing her, Radakk claims her as his mate, as his people need females. Thalia finds herself in a complex situation where she must adapt to the dominant and demanding culture of the Darrvasons, and she struggles to come to terms with her new position as the emperor's chosen mate. Thalia's struggle between survival and submission and her complex relationship with Radakk keeps things interesting. The intense sexual scenes and dominance-submission dynamic add plenty of heat, with power exchange, spankings, and more, reflecting the dominant nature of Radakk. Ultra-hot and steamy dark erotic romance with intrigue, politics, and the search for a habitable planet for humanity.
A great addition to the Series. Thalia is caught spying during a crucial meeting between the humans and the Darrvasonians. Fortunately for her, Emperor Radakk is drawn to her and claims her as his female to be included in the first 30 women to be given to them as brides. Otherwise the penalty would be death. All she wants is to find out what happened to her mother. Supposedly the captain knows but won’t tell her unless she “keeps the Emperor happy “. Submissive isn’t really her thing!
Thalia and Radakk have a lot to learn about each other and the journey isn’t exactly smooth at times! Great book!.

I started this series and really liked it but I have some issues with this:
-Both of the ML are like the same person. Other than their own personal struggles how they respond to things are the same. -The MLs are so controlling that their mate HAS to do everything they say or they are punished. If their mate wasn’t in the mood for intimacy, most likely these aliens would force them to do it anyways. - The FL seems like they may have a backbone to stand up to the aliens but they don’t. I don’t need a FL who fights on everything but it would be nice if they set a boundary it is responded. -The smut is like the same thing in both books. (The strap)
I will continue to read it but I really hope all the MLs aren’t going to be basically the same person.
Radakk’s Mate is an excellent continuation of the Worldship Brides Series.
Emperor Radakk meets Thalia when her growling stomach exposes her as she spies on a meeting between the Darrvason emperor and Captain Warren of the human Worldship Jansonna. While there is an instant draw towards each other, they have may personal differences and conflicts to overcome. Trust is a hard thing to earn between an emperor and a spy. They will face many trials and must face exposing many secrets if they want to form a lasting and satisfying heartbond. The Darrvason doctors feel it is impossible for the heartbond to form between a human and a Darrvason. But love is a strong force. Miracles can happen when the love is strong.
I loved this book a lot ! Although i felt like the relationship dynamic between Radakk and Thalia developed a little stiltedly. I get that Radakk’s species are purely misogynists in their society so for the longest time he treated her like a broodmare he owned (that’s just the views they have in their culture), but only in stilted spurts some emotions developed and changed between them so it seemed rather abrupt because his interest throughout is just to mate her until suddenly he wants to share a room with her and then gets communication access and helps her mother (the last 2 happened towards the end out of no where). The ending also felt rather abrupt, it could have simply been another chapter in the book and you wouldn’t have even known. But other than that I enjoyed it very much !
The situation for humans on their ship certainly seems bleak as they try to find another world to colonize. The encounter with the warrior race of Darrvasons seems fortuitous-both looking for a new home. I enjoyed watching the plot unfold…. suspicious leaders, differences between the races as well as the interesting conditions posed for Darrvason assistance. I think it was the biological pull plus the difference in honor and expectations/protection between the societies that helped expose Thalia’s real feelings for Radakk. Very satisfying to see a HEA when the situation began so uncertain.

Once again, a good read. The plot was enjoyable and I was kept interested. My only pointers: 1.) I understand Raddak was keeping Thalia at a distance because he didn’t know there was a heart bond between them..but idk I just felt like he really did ignore her. I mean..she slept in a different room 😂 normally w possessive MMC they would never allow that. 2.) Again, lack of actual pregnancy. I’ve already mentioned this in my review for the previous book so I won’t speak about it again. But it does bother me a little .. But other than that this book was a decent read and I would recommend this. Final rating: 3/5 ⭐️
I enjoyed Radakk's Mate and you will, too, if you enjoy lots of steam with your alien/human pairings! I had read another in this series and the stories were different but did dovetail together. The last of humanity is on a mothership traveling through space looking for a new home. They run across a group of aliens searching for the same and the aliens need females to perpetuate their species. You see where we're going! I enjoyed all the spice and steam by this author and intend to read more of her work. I highly recommend the read!
A fine follow up to Tornn's Mate. The Emperor and the spy. I really like that the stories in this series coincide and that we get to see differenct aspects of the same event. Tornn seemed a little more lenient with his mate than the Emperor is with his mate. The story is good and I understand that the Emperor was being over cautious but I was looking for a little more action (not between the sheets though this story has plenty of that). I look forward to seeing how this series plays out with both species looking for a new home.
Uber-possessive males and the women who bring them to their knees… Second book in this series which is just as yummy as the first. Great world building, relatable characters, and a storyline that will draw you into the action. This author has a knack of making aliens even more drool-worthy than their human counterparts, so much so that I’m willing to offer myself as tribute. Hopefully there will be more books in this series - I’m ready to jump in to whatever comes next.

This is a standalone book though reading the first book would give you a better appreciation of the story.
The possessiveness of the Emperor is overwhelming. He reserved (his words, not mine) the FMC at the first instance, (he staked his claim, in other words). I guess it borders on obsession.
There is certainly a lot of spiciness in the story. I liked the MMC, he's firm and strong but the FMC, not so much. She's a bit frustrating and a coward.

This is book two in the series and was an easy and low angst read. The storyline is quite similar to book one. The troupe here is an alien officer in power being matched to a human female in trouble or need of help. Submission is key in the alien culture so that is a big part of acceptance required from the human female. There is domestic discipline, often, so if you are sensitive to this, this is not a book for you. There is a happy ending for both the Emperor Radakk and Thalia. Read On!
Amazing read! It's been a while since I started this series and I enjoyed book 1 so much. Now that I delved into this new couple I remembered how intense and exciting these books are. If you're looking for pure smut, well, you have found a good one. Please be aware that these stories contain unconventional relationship dynamics, therefore it aligns with people with specific interests like D/s dynamics. It's a very enjoyable and spicy read full of growling domineering alpha aliens and human woman fighting for a better future. Happy Reading, enjoy!
In a futuristic reality humans are looking for a new planet in a failing ship and ruled by corrupted and greedy humans, after being contacted by a more advanced race they trade human females for a chance in a new planet. This is how starts the story of Thalia and Radakk,a romance,a litle dark, with steamy and kinky scenes but a happy ending. I enjoyed very much this story!.

This book was really quite delish! The storyline grabbed and kept my attention well. Thalia and Radakk had great chemistry and the sparks and heat they generated was lush and sizzling. Heaping helpings of drama, action and kink, along with a bit of darkness and some very tantalizing twists make this an excellent addition to this series and a just plain wonderful read. I am electing to post a candid review.
I loved this dark hot sexy story. It's very well written and described, with excellent characters. The story flows easily from scene to scene keeping the reader very interested in the relationship between Radakk and Thalia. I enjoyed all of their hot sexy scenes. There is also some violence which is fully part of the story. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I recommend it. I am looking forward to the next book. Please.
Fantastic story. I started reading it and had to finish it late into the night. Thalia is having to spy on the Darrvasonians and human meeting. She gets caught and Emperor Radakk saves her from being arrested but she will pay by being claimed as the Emperor's mate. The story has plenty of intrigue and hot steam with a very dominant Emperor. I highly recommend it.

It was SO FREAKING FRUSTRATING reading this with the mmc being a bipolar jerk! He unnecessarily held back his relationship with mfc because it wasn't going where he wanted fast enough while treating her like crap and her still fawning over him! Ugh! I ended up getting 60% before skipping to the end and didn't miss anything. I'm still looking forward to the next book, though, and enjoyed the first.
I book was ok but I didn’t like that the book repeated a lot of the exact same things that happened in book one. At least 30% of book 1 was in book 2. If this is a series why repeat verbatim the exact same thing from book 1? I enjoyed reading about the emperors relationship but I would have liked to read more a different things happening on the ships at a time line in the future not the exact same thing and time line as book one.
