A nameless Luna, who was once a slave, was raised as the runt of her pack until a stranger came and claimed her as his bride. His touch is like torture, and she cannot decide whether she dreads or desires him. An exiled Alpha who is chasing down a prophecy that promises him the power to protect his pack, but only with his fated mate by his side. She holds the key to his future, but before she can help him, she will have to unlock her past. Strange whispers in the shadows speak of an ancient secret and infernal curse that could poison their mating bond, and powerful rivalries between packs threaten to tear them apart. Can they find a way to trust themselves and each other, or will fear and pride burn their love?
I usually hate books from these apps but this one sucked me in. It was well written and not like a young teen had written it! A few Edith g errors but not like you usually find with these apps.
Great character development as well as a good plot. The nameless you g girl was vulnerable and likable and her mate was all Alpha but still vulnerable as well.
I hope to see more from this author, preferably in a print version!
What is the point in writing a book like this? What is, literally, the point? The artistic prose? The thought-provoking story? The depth of character?
No.
You're writing for perverts who are into werewolves and you've got ONE sex scene at the end of book three. And it isn't even close to explicit.
Let me state again:
Your target audience is PERVERTS who want to get off to WEREWOLVES.
And you've failed to satisfy them.
So what was the point of any of it? What a waste of time and energy, on my part and the author's. What a nothing you have to say. What emptiness you have to offer.
Crap like this is the worst and I seriously don't understand what the point of it's existence is. Just write the smut, you're not better than it.
And you end it with a happily married (or what passes for it in wolfland) couple, with the woman PREGNANT. Oh hey yay, so dumb boring traditional human garbage then, thanks.
"Little Flower" was raised without a name by her abusive uncle. In a pack of wolves, she lacks one and sports a strange birthmark on her chest. She is rescued by the alpha of a rival pack, who happens to be her mate. But Tristan has his own reservations about the mate bond; and he and "flower" will need to learn to communicate and trust before they can start a relationship.
This story pulled me in right away. I was glad to not have to read 20 chapters of abuse before "flower" got out of her home pack. The world building when it came to the Moon Goddess and the mate bond was unique. I would have liked the scene with the Goddess to have been longer and to include more information. Tristan's and "flower's" chemistry and journey was paced well and believable.
Second, IF you can see past the grammatical errors and IF you don't mind rereading a sentence, paragraph or chapter, then It's actually not so bad.
In fact. At times. It felt like it was sooooo Bad that it actually became good. (If you know, you know) It's a really, really slow burn. With only one "sex" scene. It starts of fast paced, slows down and picks up again after a few chapters. Then we have a wild ride until the near end. With the last chapter and Epilogue being predictable and slow.
I enjoyed it non the less. It was something refreshing and just what I was in the mood for.
It's not a terrible, quick, easy read. It keeps you turning pages, for the most part. I enjoyed the tension build-up throughout. The editing leaves a lot to be desired, though. Even with simple beach reads, I don't want to be pulled out of the story because of bad editing. Lots of extra words, wrong words, and misspellings. Otherwise, it's a pretty decent storyline and one that I wouldn't mind reading more of soon.
I read this book on Readict, not my favorite way to read a book, the first chapter drew me in and wouldn't let go. This had to be a working draft as there were a few typos and an incorrect name and pronoun here and there, but all in all I enjoyed the story. There was tragedy, angst, he fell first, found family, surprises, battles and a HEA.
Enjoyable, quick read. A few inconsistencies that would need editing, but doesn't detract from the story line. Plausible werewolf storyline, predictable, but not unpleasantly. Writing style was enjoyable, I'll be moving on to book 2.
I read this in Readict, the complete series of 3 books. These are really good, (not cheap at $10 per book, but very good stories). Readict does treat these as a single book, so I'll add the other 2 soon in Goodreads. Well worth the cost to get all 3 books!
I didn't hate it.It was well written despite a few errors in grammar and spelling. Could a did a little bit better at the end felt like it left out a lot of intimate scenes that would have made more sense to finally have one at the end or two or three, but it was good..it rushed.
