Alex Colville is easily one of Canada's greatest visual artists. Unfortunately, he is very badly done-by as far as biographies and Art Books are concerned. Most of the narrative is not that interesting, in my opinion. In addition, you'd expect a better standard of colour photography in an art book, with colours that last a little longer and stay a little brighter. And most of the photos are in black and white which defeats the purpose of it being a modern art book! This book is only alright, but the best I've seen, in my opinion.
