These two were a walking relapse, ready to happen. Garrin Torres will never be Guild Master of his local Taurus Hall. They can send however many politely worded nomination letters they want.

He has a piercing parlor to run and a quiet, comfortable life that took him years to build to his satisfaction. Any further disruptions can see themselves right out the door because he is Not. Having. It.

And when—wait. He said, “Out the door.” Out.

Who are these people coming in now?

She’s pretty hot, but her partner is clearly angling for a five-finger discount.

Does today look like Garrin’s first day to Goth Bonnie and Clyde, here?

He said, “No disruptions.” Are the planets not listening??

God, these two smell good.

Taurus is a filthy stand-alone urban fantasy within the Masters of the Zodiac series. Get ready for piercings, tattoos, and a lot of mouths that should probably be washed out with soap. This Why Choose? MMF journey crosses the boundaries of self-control to where addiction, hedonism, and bad behavior wait on the other side, and not everyone is as human as they look.

Eris Adderly’s contribution to the Masters of the Zodiac series with Taurus is a wild ride. Garrin is everything I want in a protag but didn’t know I wanted. And if you’ve read any of her other books, then you’ll know that her characters come with a tremendous amount of snark and these guys are no exception. I spent extra time cackling over some of the details and ended up going back and rereading parts of the story because they were that good. I mean, his reactions in Myth made my throat hurt I was snort-laughing so hard. THAT was fab.

Some of the references to behaviors based on their sign worked really well for me. Garrin: “good old, quiet, stubborn Taurus determination.” And this one, which describes Visha: “She was in full Scorpio info-harvesting mode, so he decided to let her be. Chances were, she’d come up out of it with some detective-level REDACTED Eli hadn’t even noticed because he was too busy watching Garrin demonstrate what happened to matadors who weren’t paying enough attention.”

And there is, of course, the delectable smexy times that were so damn hot the story might have melted the battery on my Kindle.

This was my introduction to this series. Adderly is a one-click author for me. I’m so intrigued with this world now. Adderly, as always, writes well-developed characters who are snarky and witty. I enjoyed this book and I went into it blind. There are some HOT scenes. I really liked Garrin and Eli. Vishna grew on me. At first I couldn’t handle her smugness!

Superb.
An absolutely delightful read for the reader who longs for that literary unicorn: a superbly written book that has meat to it. This is not a plow through it ASAP light read, there's that magical wordcraft that, IMO, puts me in mind of the lush & evocative images of Tanith Lee.
Ms. Adderly swirls the reader into the astrologically driven world of her Taurean hero & the fascinating pair that invades his calm, secure, orderly life. But others have, will, describe the plot (which is mesmerizing & kept me enthralled AND invested from first word to last) but I wanted to highlight the skilled writing of this book by this author.
Again, I cannot stress how truly completely this book/writing thrilled my book-loving heart, mind & soul.
Why, you ask?
Well, intense & lifelong book-lovers, at least a certain batch of us, find actual joy when we encounter a writer whose literary artistic use of words allows us to dive deep into not only the story, plot & characters but the magical images wrought by truly skilled & yet deftly subtle writing.
So, for booklovers who LOVE a magical, meaty, mesmerizing, marvelous read: READ this one.
Do yourself a favor & read this one.
You'll be delighted you did.
I know I was.

Grab this bull by the horns!

I am a huge fan of Eris Adderly. I’ve read everything of hers I can find & I have never been disappointed. So when I saw this, of course I jumped in. Let me start by saying this book would’ve been better served if there was some sort of preface explaining the books in this series should be read in order. There is a lot of “meat” about the overarching storyline that is missed if you don’t. The book is still very enjoyable & there is enough in this particular story to stand on its own quite well, but it definitely would’ve made more sense if I’d read the others first.
That said, this book is freaking HAWT, y’all! Garrin is a triple Taurus, just trying to get through his day to day and run his piercing salon without any drama. Until one day when drama comes strolling in his shop and turns his whole world on end. Visha and Eli, bondmates and sexual deviants, recognize Garrin as a Dom bull & the answer to their little subby prayers. He can keep them from turning into something they fear, if only they can get him to see with more than his eyes. Garrin just wants to continue to deny his needs and nature, but with this pair around, it gets more difficult by the minute since he is drawn to them so intensely. This book has a ton of astrology references, a fair amount of inference from previous books in the series, & is MMF/poly.
The book is well written, the scenes within are vibrant & really come alive. I don’t have much negative to say except that it’s advertised as a stand-alone when I really don’t think it is, and the MM scenes are kind of glossed over after the initial interaction between Garrin and Eli. I am giving 4.5 stars for this book because even if I didn’t understand all the talk of guilds and astrology, the book is still beautifully written & a great read.

‘Sweet Spot Between Desire and Restraint’

‘The mirth in her eyes found a manic parallel in his own. Because the big ‘what if’ wasn’t the idea of everything possibly going wrong. The fear, the quiet internal panic, was at the chance everything might go impossibly, horribly right.’

…Everything going impossibly, horribly right…is exactly what Eris Adderly has achieved in Taurus, 8th book in the Masters of the Zodiac, multi-author series.

When bonded pair Visha and Eli find themselves in the presence of a possible ‘anchor’, in the form of a human body piercer named Garrin, intense actions require the building of a new relationship where physicality must balance need and want.

Eris Adderly is a word aficionado, and her use of language is its own form of teasing and pleasure, where each is placed to cause the most feeling that can be achieved.

Brilliant, Steamy, In-depth Fantasy!

Taurus' by Eris Adderly is the eighth book in the "Masters of the Zodiac" Anthology and OMG, this one was sooo worth waiting for! This is a MMF romance but let me tell you, there is so much more to this. All the small details regarding the Zodiac signs including Taurus, Scorpio, Gemini, and Virgo come into play in this storyline. Each of these characters has a part to play within the storyline. Ms. Adderly's characters are three-dimensional and I just fell in love with Garrin's no-nonsense, keep to a routine, straight-shooting personality. Every personality trait from his zodiac sign is prevalent until it's put to the test by Visha and Eli. This triad kept me laughing at some of their escapades one minute and reading with bated breath the next because it was so HAWT!!! Yes indeed, this one is one to mark the pages on and re-read over and over.

WT ACTUAL F??? Requirements to read this book is DRUGS lots of em!!

I think this storyline series started out GREAT! It then became "different" and now is just flippin BIZARRE !! I tried 11 times to read this, my sister and our book club were the same. Why would you allow this storyline to descend into this mess I don't understand!! I never slam books/authors but this time I had to say something.

I loved these 3! They were soooo perfect for each other. And I loved how things happened right after they met each other. It just seemed like it was destiny the way they met. And the dream Garren has is really crazy yet interesting and then leads to how Eli and Vishal actually are. I loved how everything came together and I was hooked from start to finish!

Putting into words the many reasons I loved Garrin is almost impossible. His self control, his inner dialogue, his intensity - these things attracted me in the opening pages and the attraction grew as the story progressed. He kept himself on a tight leash until Eli and Vasha burst into his world, and then it gets wild. It's crazy, steamy, fast paced, and I loved it.

loved this book

I really loved everything about this book. The spicy bits were more vague than some of the spicy books I’ve read but still managed to bring the heat. I’ve been reading through this series because of Golden Angels contribution but I will be looking for more from this particular author.

Bullish

It was worth the wait. I was going to read them in the order of the Zodiac, though this one came out quite a bit later than Gemini and Leo. I love that this was another MMF with a mythical creatures bent. Would love another installment of Garrin, Vista & Eli's story.

I'm not much of a Fantasy or Para-Normal reader, but if anyone can convince me it's Eris Adderly. I enjoyed most of the book, but I would have liked a final, super sexy scene. I will read more from this series.

Taurus is an excellent addition to the Masters of the Zodiac series. Garrin is so much a Taurus with his stubborn determination. The steamy sensuality between him, Eli, and Visha was impressive but Eris Adderly is well known for writing top tier scenes. The dialogue and personality in these characters really feels deep and true, from snark to emotions connecting to the readers. fantastic!
