I couldn't put this book down and couldn't wait to get to the end. BUT it is not great literature! It has every cliche under the sun - the handsome protective man with the will they/won't they plot, the super wealthy who are not to be trusted, the working class girl who has made into the the gilded cage of the wealthy etc. Pure esapism, good fun, page turner but not a work of art. Good beach read

Tasmina Perry for me, is always a must read. When I think of her books I think of glamour, mystery, passion and an addictive story line, and this latest release is exactly what her readers are wanting!
To everyone outside looking in, it seems as though Julian and Diana have the most perfect lives and the word at their feet, they seem to have everything they could ever want. But in reality life isn’t as rosy at it seems. After Julian dies very suddenly and unexpectedly, Diana suspects that there is more to it than meets the eye. Desperate for answers and to discover the truth, she makes the phonecall that she never wanted to – to her sister Rachel. Rachel used to be a tabloid reporter, and although she pretends to be living the dream, the truth is that she was driven from her career after the phone hacking scandal, and has become estranged from her family. But Rachel is determined to make up for the past and uncover the truth…
I absolutely loved Deep Blue Sea! Having been a huge fan of Tasmina Perry for many years I always look forward to her new releases with so much excitement, and let me tell you it is SUCH a joy to have been able to once again delve into the wonderful world of Tasmina’s stories. I was hooked as soon as I read the description on the back of the book, I was really intrigued as to what could have happened to Julian and I was keen to start reading! I started Deep Blue Sea one morning and I finished it in two sittings – I was so involved in the novel and gripped by what was happening, I couldn’t put it down and found I was carrying the book around with me everywhere, reading at every moment I could!
The plot line is fantastic, there was a great air of mystery around Julian and the truth about what had really happened, and I so intrigued! Throughout the story, I kept trying to guess what had happened only for Tasmina Perry to throw another curve ball and twist my way, leaving me both surprised and suspecting something else entirely! Tasmina kept me guessing and guessing again and I genuinely didn’t know which turn the novel would take next, so I desperately wanted to read on as I just had to know the ending!
Deep Blue Sea is a riveting book full of suspense, intrigue, and twists and turns that you won’t see coming. Deep Blue Sea surprised me, made my heart race and I’m certain that fans of Tasmina Perry will enjoy this! A fantastic read for the summer!

I loved this book, I love this author, so this was a delight to read, and definitely deserves my full 5 stars.

Firstly I’d like to thank the publishers for sending me this book to read and give an honest review.
The opening of the storyline was a quick but informative scene from Diana and Rachel’s childhood, I felt like I knew their personalities rather well even from just a few pages. Fast-forward to the present day and the sisters lives couldn’t have been more different, they also appeared to have fallen out with each other and this was something I was keen to find out the reason for. A hugely traumatic event in Diana’s life brought the two of them back together and this is when the adventure began.
The author covered some hard-hitting subjects but it had been written in an easy, comfortable style which made it a pleasure to read. I was reeled in to the characters lives until I felt as desperate as Diana to find out the reason for the unexpected event. As Rachel began to investigate I was captivated by the many twists and turns – I could never predict what was around the corner.
Trips to Chesil Beach and Beaulieu reminded me of my own visits to those places and brought a familiar touch to the storyline. I also liked the way the author created fantastic chemistry between the characters, there were times when I was holding my breath in anticipation.
Towards the end I thought I had figured out the big mystery but I was completely thinking in the wrong direction and the heart-pounding conclusion shocked me, this book will keep you guessing until the very end!

I've been a huge Tasmina Perry fan since I read her first novel Daddy's Girl back in 2006. Her novels have become something of a holiday tradition for me - I enjoy the glamour and the glimpse into the world of the rich and the famous - they've always been the perfect 'get away from it all' read.
Her first six novels are fabulous, but I was a little disappointed by her last book (Perfect Strangers) as I felt that she had tried to take her writing into another direction. I had high hopes of this one; Deep Blue Sea and was really looking forward to reading it.
Yes, the story is populated by the wealthy and glamorous characters that Perry does so well, but the storyline is quite frankly dull. A successful husband's sudden death, and his wife's quest to find out more about the circumstances. Two sisters - long estranged, a glittering Thailand setting, dark secrets - all should make for a great read. My problem was that I cared little for the lead characters from the beginning, so struggled to retain an interest in the story.
Maybe I've just 'grown out' of Tasmina Perry's books and her writing? I'm not sure really.

This was an amazing read. I didn't realise it was going to be such an intense read but it really gripped me. The characters were easy to read about and were very likeable(or hateable!) A real page turner that had be guessing right until the final chapter.I'd never heard of Tasmina Perry before but now i must read her other books!

Quiet a lovely read, however parts of the ending were predictable. I felt there were some aspects that tended to draw the story out a bit too long, however it was still an enjoyable read.

Rachel returns to England to help her sister and try to make amends. She will not give up until she finds out the truth.

I do love Tasmina Perry's books. She weaves a enjoyable tale.
I started off disliking Diana, I found she was incredibly hard on her sister. And when she slept with her dead husbands brother so soon. I disliked her even more.
Rachel drops everything in her life to come and investigate her sisters husbands death.
She flys all over the world following the clues, even putting her own life in danger. Even while she is doing this Diana is still mad at her sister.
Several times you think you know what happened. Then more twists and turns appear.
If your looking for an engrossing read, then pick this book up and give it a go.

Couldn't put it down! I was head and heels into the story the whole time I was reading it so I guess my household got somewhat neglected for a while.. And I absolutely loved sudden and unpredictable turns and twists of the story, it's like riding a roller-coaster never knowing what would the next page bring you to.

Diana Denver finds her wealthy husband dead, which looks like suicide. Her sister, Rachel, an ex reporter has moved to Thailand to find a new life after exposing Julian as an adulterer. Diana is convinced that Julian didn't commit suicide so gets her sister to come back to the UK to find out what has happened. Julian's sister has engineered him meeting women and being exposed in this way to try to get to the top of the family business herself. The family money has been left to DIana and her son from a previous relationship.
I love this plot and clever story.

I read this book when I was travelling Thailand as I knew some of it was based in Ko Tao. Perry sets the picturesque scenes in both Thailand and England very well and the novel has plenty of suspense throughout. However, without ruining any of the storyline I think it ended too quickly and there were many unanswered questions. Maybe it would be good to have a sequel! Despite this the book was steamy and had plenty of tension. I would recommend as an easy beach read.

I almost gave up on this book several times. There were parts that seemed repetitive and kinda drug on forever. I'm glad I finished it though. The characters were likeable and I was happy about the ending.

A nice surprise. Expected chicklit type book but actually enjoyed the mystery and the storyline. A bit simplistic in parts but would definitely try her other titles soon.

To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The story got more interesting and dug deeper as it went along. A very pleasing read :)
