Every fairytale had a villain, and this way of life was ours. Coming from nothing and gaining something is a lot to handle. Can they hang on to it? A year after moving in together on Lot 62, Devon and Maddox have a whole new dynamic to adjust to—cohabitation. Merging their personalities and energies into one tiny trailer is a lot to handle, but so is their relationship. There are bound to be some growing pains, and these two are about to work through them all. As they strive to steady their relationship, they also have a horde of troubles coming their way. Jim is out of prison with a new plan. Devon is a product of his upbringing and doesn’t always make the smartest decisions. Maddox runs interference while suffering the consequences of their reality. With threats on their doorstep, Maddox and Devon learn how to prioritize the hard way. All that matters is that they’re together, and they’ll stop at nothing to ensure they are. The future may seem bleak, but their bond and the love they share will have to get them through the dark to the future they’re dreaming about.

* this is book 2 in the From Nothing series. Garron Park (book 1) must be read first. Lot 62 is a continuation of Garron Park, focusing on the relationship between Maddox and Devon. MM enemies-to-lovers romance.

"Fuck you. I'm saying it anyway. We're soulmates Madd." "Pathetic," he groaned, laughing. "Yeah, I'm pathetically in love with you, and I can hate you for it all I want. So, rich or poor, kids or no kids, a home or homeless, we're destined for the same bleak future. Live with it."

TW: some violence, murder, attempted murder, drug and alcohol use, explicit sex scenes including minor kinks, and other themes that may be triggering

My babies are back!

Dipshit Devon and Maddox "Fucking" Kane are back, ready to cause chaos and up to new shenanigans.

It's been a year since the events that occurred in book 1, Madd and Dev are in love and have a place of their own, Lot 62. Fucking finally. Right?

They finally seem to have it all, their own place, privacy, love, new jobs, and most of all each other. What more can one ask for, even if you are a piece of shit nobody from Garron Park?

In book 1, we had enemies fighting and racing each other, then lusting and fucking each other. Finally, these idiots admitted they loved each other, even if that loser Jim, Dev, and Nate's sperm donor was determined to ruin their lives.

In Lot 62 or book 2, the boys navigate their relationship and the challenges that come with being a couple from Garron Park. It's not always fucking and fighting. It's not always sunshine and rainbows. They have jobs now, new insecurities, and new problems. But so does every relationship, what relationship doesn't come with its set of challenges? For these boys, it's a bit different though.

They never had anything good, not until finding one another. A new chance at happiness also means being afraid of the unknown, self-sabotaging, and dealing with vulnerabilities and insecurities that were perhaps not there before. For Dev and Madd, this also means having shit fathers to worry about. One who is ready to make amends, and one who is determined to fuck up their lives for good.

Every relationship is tested and Dev and Madd's is no different. However, what is known and evident to the reader throughout the whole book is that these two are without a doubt soulmates and love each other to death, literally. The type to take a bullet for one another type of love. The I cannot live without you type of love. The all-consuming, I burn for you kind of love.

You get the picture.

This book was angsty, more than the first book but I LOVED it. The passion and the emotions felt by our boys run so deep and as expected Nordika delivered. They get their HEA, and it was so perfect for them. It was so them. So thank you Nordika for giving our boys the happiness that they finally deserved.

The book is a tad bit longer than the last one, there is more angst, more sex, more passion, newfound kinks, newly forming relationships (I am looking at you Xavi and Nate), unexpected heroes, and so much to look forward to in LOT 62. It's kind of bittersweet though because I am sad that it ended😭 but so so happy that they got their HEA. Swoons. I love these idiots from Garron Park and their love. Soulmates, enemies, and lovers all in one. Your blood pressure will be raised but I promise it's all worth it. I could say more but I don't want to spoil it.

The reading is an experience lol.

I received an advance review copy for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"He was the stitch in my side, the downfall of my mood, and the source of most of my frustrations, but he also became my salvation, my hope, and the love of my life."

I don't know where to start. I love love loved EVERYTHING about this book. You know how sometimes you read an amazing book (like Garron Park) and then the sequel comes out and it's completely and utterly disappointing? WELL NOT THIS TIME! Nordika Night has absolutely knocked it out of the park with the second book in the From Nothing duet, LOT 62.

"We were grit and gravel, held together with spit and superglue, fused among all our jagged bits."

LOT 62 continues on a year later from the events in Garron Park with our crazy, lovable, psychotic, enemies to lovers Devon and Maddox now living together in the same trailer park that they grew up in. With these two, life is never going to be a bed of roses and life and love continues to hit hard, with the return of both their fathers causing more chaos, their BFF brothers blurring some lines, full on angst and heartbreak, feisty fight times and so much glorious steam!

"I had no idea how long it took me to get free of the ropes, but when I did, my wrists were chafed, my body glistened with sweat, and a murderous demon rose straight out of my soul. I thought I could read Devon like a book, but I’d misread him this time, and I craved the ability to rectify it."

I can't say enough good things about it. You NEED to read this duet.

Edit: I just finished a duet re-read and it was just as good as the first time and every time after. LOVE LOVE LOVE these boys! 💟

All the stars and then some! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Perfection bored me, and Devon was the farthest thing from it. Together we didn’t resemble anything even close to perfect, and maybe that’s why I loved us so much. We were grit and gravel, held together with spit and superglue, fused among all our jagged bits.

i'm in love with maddox kane and devon sawyer. i'm in love with how much they are in love with each other. 🫠🥰🥹

these two have such a unique dynamic that i've never read before. we know from the first book that they are known as the couple who are enemies turned lovers but stay enemies. They are hella aggressive, beat each other up, and are toxic but who knew how romantic and soft they could be? i was seriously surprised with how sweet and vulnerable they were with each other. you could feel how deep their love was and i loved how we got to see them as a established couple fight for that love. i didn't expect this book to be such a rollercoaster. i was already tearing up 12% in. these two went through hell to be together. my heart kept breaking for them because i just wanted them to happy but these two could not catch a break. but what was even more amazing is that despite the crazy journey they went on, their love did not waver one single bit. they knew they were it for each other.

❝You move, I want to fuck you. You smile, I want to hug you. You challenge me, I want to kill you. There is no in-between with you. I love you so much I hate you. So stop being a dick, stop being insecure, stop comparing yourself to the assholes I work with, and get some fucking confidence. You’re hot shit, Devon. My dick is hard because of you.❞ I huffed.

devon mf sawyer ❤️‍🩹 this precious precious baby. his vulnerabilities, insecurities, all the tears he shed, and his need to prove that he wasn't like his dad hurt my heart. he just wanted to be able to help provide for maddox and he felt he needed to be better so he could be worthy of maddox. but maddox could read him like a book and always reassured devon in the exact way he needed it. his love was so fierce and passionate. he may be a hot head and acts before he thinks, but that's bc when he sees a threat towards maddox, his first instinct is to attack to protect him.

He was beautiful. Nothing in my life had ever been as beautiful as Maddox. Not this bed, the trailer, or the lot we worked so hard to get. Not the shop, the trucks, our dirt bikes, or anything else we managed to own and be proud of. I could lose it all and barely blink, but if I lost Maddox, I’d blink right out of existence.

now, maddox mf kane 🥵 he's in my top book boyfriends shelf now. devon swooned many times as he said in this book, and i was right along with him. bc maddox kane is perfection. the way he was so needy and soft for devon only, how romantic he was (in his own ways) and just how he showed his love in general had me all warm and fuzzy. these two literally physically fight each other because they want to but somehow maddox was so romantic like how does that work?? 😂 he would literally die for devon. and the amount of times they said "i love you" to each other? they made sure their love was known to the other and i fucking loved that. they tried to say they weren't softies, but they totally were.

examples of swooning devon 🥰

❝Oh, thank fuck,❞ Jeff laughed when he saw us.
❝Maddox!” Heidi shouted. ❝Devon’s here!❞ She turned to me and smiled. ❝You’ve got that boy whipped, Dev. He’s been getting hit on, propositioned, and felt up, but he keeps pushing everyone away and looking for you,❞ she laughed.
I swooned. Fucking hard.

❝I miss you,❞ he said. ❝The way we are together. I just want you so fucking bad, Dev.❞ A swoon-bomb went off. Fucking hell, I was getting sick of swooning. Lie.

❝Nate, pull over,❞ Maddox demanded. ❝Pull over so I can fuck my man.❞ My man. I swooned again.

and as the book goes on, maddox just gets more swoony. i seriously had heart eyes.

these two are absolute idiots. they make mistakes in this book but they were always out of love. they didn't always make the best decisions but protecting each other was their number one priority. this was definitely more angsty than the first book. they are now a couple in garron park and it brings a new set of obstacles. they are struggling to make ends meet, there are challenges with juggling a love life and work life, devon's crap father is back, and lots of other things. their journey was not an easy one, but their end was the most satisfying and hard earned HEA. and their sexy times in between? so hot. especially maddox.

example:

❝Say it, baby.❞
I’d never get used to him calling me that. It felt special, meant only for rare occasions or something like that. ❝Say what?❞
❝Tell me I can fuck you again.❞

❝You can fuck me again,❞ I said into the blanket. ❝You can fuck me as many times as you want, Madd.❞
I moaned when he slammed into me. ❝I fucking love you, Devon.❞

why i didn't give it 5 stars. i based this book purely on my enjoyment which is why it's a 4.5. there were so many sex scenes and a lot of repetitive monologue. there was a lot of "i hate him but i love him" type of monologues but i didn't mind bc i loved reading about how crazy they were about each other. i normally wouldn't like this many sex scenes but again, i just adored them so much that it didn't matter. i could read anything about them. this book definitely could have been shorter but i didn't find myself getting bored. so because of all that, i only took off half a star.

❝I fucking own you, Devon,❞ Maddox’s voice became deeper than the thunder. ❝All of you. Your fucking body, your broken soul, and your whole heart.❞

what to expect:
❤️‍🔥 aggressive romantics
❤️‍🔥 established couple
❤️‍🔥 all the 'i'll protect you with my life' vibes
❤️‍🔥 possessiveness and jealousy moments
❤️‍🔥 NO om/ow drama
❤️‍🔥 hand necklaces
❤️‍🔥 spicy spicy spicy
❤️‍🔥 addition of new kinks
❤️‍🔥 nate and xavi crumbs 👀
❤️‍🔥 and one amazing HEA

my two fav idiot, hotheaded, aggressive, romantic, dirtbags got their hea and i couldn’t be happier for them. seeing devon and maddox living life together and being all domestic and cute after all they had been through was the perfect ending for them. 🥹

devon is really the light to maddox’s darkness and i once again was living for maddox and his swoony and tender moments towards devon. 🫠

the way devon only ever wanted to protect maddox, but felt like he was the biggest failure in their relationship…couldn’t be further from the truth. 😭

they never needed much as long as they had each other. 🏍️💘

these two dumbasses will always be so special to me!

What a journey. This is official, this is my favorite Duet. My favorite enemies to lovers. This duet is in my top 3 favorites book ever. The first book I have read from Nordika Night was Alter Arlo and I loved it so much, but now I’m in love with Garron Park duet and Nordika is officially one of my favorite author. I will definetly read everything she writes.

« 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧, 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 »

There's so much going on in this second book. we laugh, we cry, we smile, we are angry. I felt all the emotions.
We could see a more romantic, soft, facet of Devon and Maddox. With all the hardships they have been through, their love comes out even stronger, more powerful than before. Yes, they are literally soulmates. They protect each other, they comfort each other, they are each other's home.

« 𝐌𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞. 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 »

I found out that I love when Maddox sulks, I love that Devon is the more emotional of the two. I love to see them gain sexual confident and discover some kinks.

« 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲 »

Nordika Night has made this second volume even more addictive than the first. I didn't think I could love Dev and Madd more, but I did, I love them with all my heart.
Honestly, yes I can’t wait for Xavi and Nate book but I’m not ready to let Maddox and Devon go. They will always be my favorites boys.
Lot 62 is longer than Garron Park and I was so happy about that, give me more. I could read 5 other books about them.
Also the bonus chapter a the end was the best gift!

« 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞. 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭, 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐰, 𝐈’𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 »

I know I'm in the minority here, but I felt so relieved when I finally got to "The Finish Line" of this book. There was a lot to like about this continuation of Maddox and Devon's story, but the moments I adored the most felt like needles in a gigantic haystack of repetitive inner monologue and sex scenes that I got tired of digging through. I still loved Maddox and Devon and their very specific brand of volatile romance. I loved how soft they were at times and how angry that softness made them. I also loved how perfect their HEA was for them, even if I had to suspend disbelief for parts of it. I just couldn't deal with Devon having thoughts and then Maddox having thoughts about Devon having those thoughts and then them talking about those thoughts. Lather, rinse, repeat. It got really boring after awhile. Had this book been about 100-150 pages shorter, I think I could have loved it. As is, 3 stars is the best I can do.

I'm not sure if I'm in on Xavi and Nate's book. So far it looks like MM with way too much F interaction involved. If that's the case, I may be leaving Garron Park behind.

LOVED THIS!!

I didn't know what to expect with this one because I thought book one ended nicely, but this was just perfect for me!

Maddox and Devon will forever be one of my favourite book couples. I liked how we saw their struggles, how they dealt with things, and that ending.... 🥰🥰🥰

I cried a ton reading this, and I couldn't put it down. I would read anything about these two, and I'm so excited about Nate and Xavi's book!

"But all fairytales had a villain, and this piece of shit life was ours."

Maddox Kane and Devon Sawyer found their happiness.
They found each other underneath all the hate and competition.
One year after they moved into Lot 62 and they are still adjusting.
Adjusting to life, adjusting to each other, and adjusting to the world around them.
Unfortunately for them there is one part of their past that still haunts them.
Jim Sawyer. Determined to ruin their life.
But Maddox and Devon handled bigger problems.
No matter how dark it might seem…

"There is no light without darkness."

The journey that you go through with Maddox and Devon is heartbreaking and heart-mending.
Yes I cried this isn't even a conversation.
You see that happy ever after is not always butterflies and rainbows. But as long as you have the love of your life you can defeat anything.
Now Maddox and Devon go through HELL in this book but they come out stronger for it and that is everything I could want.
We also get more info about Xavi and Nate and I am eating up all of these bread crumbs!!

"No matter who pulled me in what direction, I dragged Devon with me for all of it."

Devon and Maddox break down in this book. Both of them. Now without spoiling too much just now that I was crying at the beginning, middle, and end. There are so many parts that I identified with in my own way and it was so hard to see them be brought out in Devon. The panic attack broke me I'm not gonna lie. Just know that you are enough trust me and fuck anyone who says differently.
Maddox and Devon love to hate each other and I could not love them more for it 💓

"Fuck the world. There was no world if Maddox wasn't in it."

This playlist is like a conclusion-ish of their relationship even tho we are kidding ourselves if we think they aren't going to live in my head rent free.

Such a good book! I didn’t love it as much as I loved book one but I still did overall enjoy it. I think it could have been trimmed down a bit - all the internal monologues got so repetitive, the same thoughts over and over. Other than that it was really good - it didn’t feel long at all because there was so much going on I was engaged the whole time. Really love these two and now I’m excited for their brothers book!

LOT 62 is the intense and dramatic concluding entry in the From Nothing Duet featuring Maddox and Devon. Maddox and Devon have such a complicated and messy dynamic. I love how unapologetically codependent Maddox and Devon are. In this entry, their communication issues are further explored along with growing together as a couple and attempting to find a healthy work/life balance.

Maddox and Devon's relationship in this entry experiences many upheavals that are traumatic and emotional, but what keeps Maddox and Devon going is the powerful love they have for one another. I love how enraptured and obsessed they are with one another. They would literally die for the other and very nearly do.

Maddox and Devon love passionately and I was fully absorbed in their story. I loved getting insight into their rationale and how devoted, possessive, and protective both are for the other. Their HEA is well-earned and so perfectly captured.

Cannot wait for more from this world, especially between Nate and Xavi. They have such a completely different dynamic that I cannot wait for them.

This was even better than the first book, I absolutely loved this!

We return in this second installment in the series to Maddox and Devon, true enemies-to-lovers.

One small thing I complained about in the first one was that once these two went from enemies to lovers, it still felt like we were getting more hate than love for the longest time, and I wasn't feel as much of that intimacy and love as I had been hoping for by the end of the first book.

That is completely made up for in this one. Maddox and Devon still have a love-hate thing kinda going on, but at this point it's mainly just love. And we see that and feel that throughout this second installment and I absolutely loved it.

They had just enough of that grit and fight between them that they were them and they never went 100% shmoopy with each other, which is great, because it would have felt out of character if they did.

BUT, they were still soft and sweet with each other where they weren't with anyone else (a little bit their brothers, but not on the level they are with each other), and vulnerable in a way they wouldn't show anyone else, including their brothers.

They were so in love throughout this and it showed and I LOVED that. These two never got great with expressing their emotions and feelings, but they got a little better at it with each other, or at least they'd fight, and then be able to express what they're feeling and thinking with words after that.

And they actually didn't physically fight much in this. They still did at times - or a least, they might've socked each other here or there for the most part. They had about 2 legit physical fights on page with each other in this - but it was a lot less. They never really gave up the fight between each other 100%, but they were no longer interested in hurting each other.

It was the perfect combination. They pissed each other off plenty, but also they were each other's everything. No, they don't have the healthiest of relationships. Unless they went to therapy - which they don't have money for, so even if these two messed up men got to the point they even wanted to go, they'd need to be making serious bank at that point, and at this point in their lives, they're definitely not. Especially with Devon's dad still on the horizon as a major problem - these two just didn't grow up in the kind of life where they're going to be able to navigate a relationship in the healthiest way.

But it works for them, and their love is so deep and so all consuming that they just refuse to give up on each other. I absolutely loved how, after every shitty thing that happened, they just renewed their determination to stay together and protect the other one from shitty outside forces trying to tear them apart.

It's bordering on co-dependence, but again, not the healthiest way of having a relationship. But who cares? You can't help but love these two together and love their at times fucked up dynamic, especially when they're so devoted to each other.

Also, be prepared for these two to be put through the wringer. It is an up and down rollercoaster right from the very start.

At first, it internal relationship problems - although not too bad, don't worry - and these two actually working toward a more functional relationship. As healthy as their relationship is gonna get kind of work at it.

But once they move past that, it's basically all Devon's father, the bastard. He is just a cockroach that won't die or go away.

He fucks these two over in such a big way, more than once. So it takes a lot of angst and turmoil to get past for these two to get their HEA.

But get there they do. Through sheer will and determination - and some help from their brothers, of course (and surprisingly, Maddox and Xavi's now sober dad who, when he's off the drugs, is a fairly okay guy compared to Devon and Nate's shitty father) - they get through so much shit to reach the other side, where they can live their life in as peaceful a way as two guys living the life they've lived, with the means they have, can get.

Also, these two

I cannot praise this book enough. It was just everything I wanted and more. It exceeded my expectations in all the right ways.

Seeing where these two end up after where they started is amazing. They have a love for the ages and it shows throughout these two books, especially this installment.

I'm so so happy. And yes, I'm eager to see where Nate and Xavi's story goes...there's hints of potential attraction and maybe more between these two in this one, so it'll be interesting to see how their dynamic will change. Totally different than Maddox and Devon, as they've always been best friends.

Where Maddox and Devon almost seamlessly went from enemies to lovers, as they didn't have a friendship to lose, it'll be different with Nate and Xavi, who have been best friends for 20+ years....

Can't wait for the next one! If Nate and Xavi's love story is anywhere as good a love story as these two, then it's going to be so good. I'm so excited for it. I'd been wondering about them from the first book. If they'd remain platonic or not.

Until then 😍

I wanted to love this but it really dragged for me. I skimmed a lot of the internal monologues and the sex scenes. The plot just kept throwing more things out, there is a lot of action happening but it got repetitive and I was pretty done with it all by about 60%. The bones of the story are great, but I would have enjoyed it more if it was half the length. Although I’m sure die-hard fans of book 1 will still love this.

This started off a 5 star but it’s ending on a 3. It just really dragged and although I loved the characters initially I’m so over them now.

✰ 3.75 stars ✰

“We’re good. I love you.”

“Love you. Fresh start?”

“No. Don’t erase our start. Just a new chapter, yeah?”

And despite the alarming length, the often times word repetition, the over-wrought brooding and contemplating thoughts, Lot 62 was exactly this. A new chapter of Devon and Maddox's lives, where they can't let go of their past, but they're still so very much in love with each other, despite the many questionable ways in which they prove it. But, hey, I guess - that's what makes them - them. 😊

“Life is messed up and it ain’t always pretty, but sometimes it works out alright, yeah?”

And for the most part, it does - trying to make a happy life out of the hell of a life they've left. Maddox and Devon have moved on to a fresh lot, and they are navigated the ups and downs that come when trying to make a committed relationship work. And it's not always rainbows and sunshine, but who hasn't felt that way before? 🥰 What makes their dynamic so interesting is that no matter how many times they're volatile and explosively impulsive and short-tempered in their expressions - they still come back to the feeling in their gut that they actually care about this person that they had been known to hate for so long. 🤍🤍

“You need to remember what the fuck we’re living for. For me, it’s you, you dumb fuck. You’re what I live for. We’re twenty-six, not eighty-six. I’m healed, you’re alive, and we’re in love, yeah? So smarten the fuck up.”

He smiled shyly. “How are you so sweet and such a dick at the same time?”

“If we can go from hating each other to loving each other, we can do anything, Devon.” There.

Sweetness without insult. I was practically Shakespeare.”

Awww, he says the sweetest things, doesn't he? For lack of a choosier word, Maddox is trying - give the guy a chance! Honestly, they both are - it's a big step for them. That even with somewhat questionable decisions - in the back of their minds, they're still trying to look out for the other - protecting them and keeping them safe. And as much as it gets a tad aggravating to see them constantly analyzing their emotions, it slowly dawns on them that they don't always have to use their fists to show that they care - although, they still do plenty of that! 😆 - but to learn that even in soft touches and embraces, can even be enough to prove to the other that they love you.

“Remember when we kissed here for the first time?”

I for one have not - it was my absolute favorite scene from the first book. It was the catalyst of their explosive romance, their burning passion still fueled by their intent desire to claim and protect and be the only one for the other. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Their love is all-consuming, all-domineering, ensnaring them in that pull towards each other - a competitive love language that is entirely own . How they consistently fluctuate between 'bashful and horny, to happy and sappy, to dungeon master and kinky fuck' - they just love all versions of other. Because, 'it’s not just the sex. I love you. It’s not just sex.' That underneath all that competitive streak - they're also fighting the feelings inside of having to admit how much they've grown to love to each other. 🥹🥹

anigiff

“I wrapped my arms around him from behind while he munched on stale crackers. He tensed, but he settled into my hug eventually.

“What is this shit?” he asked.

“Kindness, I think.”

“Ew,” he laughed.”

Could it have benefited from serious editing and trimming down for certain parts? Definitely? Could we have been spared many instances where both boys are in contemplative repose about their thoughts and feelings? Of course. But, since I'm such a stickler for what writing style suits my comfort - I did not have any issue it with it. 😍😍 And, if you put all that aside, it was just a good feeling to know that two people who have been on the beaten side of the trailer park could find the happiness that suits them best - in the way they only know how to express it. And if Nordika Night wanted to give it her all to show those sentiments, than I'm alright accepting that. 🩶🩶

“We were two fuck ups in a corner of the world we’d probably never get out of, but we found each other here and that’s all that mattered.”

And can we not forget what storm we're being set up for with Xavi and Nate?? 😅😅 My curiosity tingles have ignited even further - while, I can probably predict right now that their story is going to be even messier than their younger brothers, it's still going to be a wild ride. And I might just have to strap myself in and enjoy the storm when it does. 😏

As with the first installment of Maddox and Devon's story, 'Garron Park', this was a perfect 5-star read. It's not for everyone, intense high drama and angst (please read the Author's Note at the beginning), but I personally wouldn't change a word. SO gritty, raw, and real! Next time (there WILL be multiple re-reads!), I'll read both books consecutively (which I rarely do with series books), since it's really one epic love story broken into two halves. Now I'm chompin' at the bit to get to 'Knock Knock', Xavi and Nate's (Maddox and Devon's brothers) story. 🥰 Really lookin' forward to many more Nordika Night reads!

“I fucking love you, Maddox Kane.”

I bitch slapped my emotions into check, breathed deeply, and swallowed my pride. “I don’t deserve you, but I’ll spend forever earning you, Devon. I love you.”

"They said love consumes you. I used to think that was a load of bullshit. The way Maddox’s love consumed me was anything but healthy, and I’d never felt more safe in something. We found something together that no one would understand... It didn’t make sense, but it made all the sense... We got each other, which meant no one else needed to get us. It was none of their damn business. We had that kind of love most people pined for, and I’d never, fucking ever, take it for granted. Our souls were bared, our truths were out in the open, and our slate had been reset. Not clean, but fresh."

Lot 62 is book two of the From Nothing series by Nordika Night. This series needs to be read in order, as both books are about Maddox and Devon. Book three is not out yet but it will be able their brothers, Nate and Xavi from my understanding. Which I cannot wait for, Nate and Xavi have the best sense of humor. I just love them.

I am so love with this book and I’m completely obsessed with the characters. They are all so well written and thought out. I love how they all have different personalities and attitudes, some have some similarities, but they’re all true to themselves. I’m not sure I could love this more.

Make sure you read the trigger warnings for this series. They are at the beginning of the book.

I already want to read this again, so I’ll probably be back to add more to this later. Just know this series is unexpected and surprising. I didn’t think I’d love it this much and I can’t wait to read more of Nordika Night’s work.

We all need more stories like Maddox and Devon 💜freaking perfection! I don’t know what magic Nordika used to write this but thank you!

"You move, I want to fuck you. You smile, I want to hug you. You challenge me, I want to kill you. There is no in-between with you. I love you so much I hate you."

Lot 62 had everything that I felt was missing in Garron Park, and more. It's rare that a sequel is as good as the first, but this book surpassed it for me.

I loved the dynamic between Devon and Maddox in this book. They were still rivals, they still fought and (not so) secretly hated each other, but there was actual love and tenderness there too, equally on both sides. In Garron Park it felt like Maddox was the only one to really be vulnerable, but in this book Devon was cracked wide open and I loved it. These guys are just so damn cute together, however unconventional their relationship is. Their codependency was everything.

This book is a lot more spicy than the first one, with some very light kink mixed in too. I loved the newfound power dynamics between them in the bedroom, but also how emotionally charged their sexy time was. Ugh, I just love them together.

The plot in this book was fast paced and full of tension and angst. Whilst Mads and Devon are mostly solid, everything around them is crumbling, and there is a LOT that they have to overcome. I loved how the drama in this book was more external, as opposed to the usual 3rd act breakups that romance novels have.

This book gives Maddox and Devon their perfectly imperfect HEA, and I thought Nordika did this wonderfully. It was just the right amount of sappy, funny, steamy, and angsty. So overall, it's a 4.5/5 for me.

❤️ Lot 62 - Nordika Night ❤️

❤️‍🔥 enemies to lovers
💸 poverty/trailer park life
💥 violence
💖 found family
❤️‍🩹 hurt/comfort

I received an arc of Lot 62 in exchange for a review... THANK YOU NORDIKA 🌈

Devon and Maddox 💕 THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS! I mean A LOT happens in this book bc it is THICC 😈 but what I mostly enjoyed in Lot 62 is the relationship development between Devon and Maddox and how close they became! from physical contact to talking out their feelings... I loved it all! 😭❤️ they are meant to be and it really shows! Nordika did an excellent job writing this progression between two mc's who were struggling to be in an actual relationship to acting like a domestic couple 🥰 now this was a much needed sequel as Devon and Maddox's story wasn't quite finished yet in Garron Park... it was everything I expected and more!!! I got so emotionally invested in this duology and it has been (truly) one of the best reading experiences ever ✨️💫🌟

“My biggest rival turned into my biggest love, and even though we still fought on the regular, the fire behind it was different. Better. Burned fiercer.“

Wow maddox and Devon. These two make me feral and the love I have for them is wild. I fell in love with them in Garron Park but Lot 62 just increased that love. Seeing them as an established couple was everything.
Their growth from book one to book two was so fun to read and I love how even after all the time spent together they still fought and pushed each others buttons.

“I couldn’t stop crying, and that just made me want to hit him again. Or laugh. Or hug him or some shit. I had no idea. I just knew that he was everything to me.”

But wow these two truly do love each other because even though they are BOTH IDIOTS, everything they did was for the other. Maddox is so aggressively romantic and they both loved it even if they would never admit it.

“What is this shit?” he asked.
“Kindness, I think.”
“Ew,” he laughed.

This book did put me through so many emotions. I really REALLY really hate Jim Sawyer. I’m so glad he got what he deserved.
Also shout out to Seth for not sucking this book we love a good come back.

I can not wait to read Xavi and Nate’s book because wow they are both idiots as well.

THE ENDING THOUGH? Had me smiling kicking my feet twirling my hair because they are actual soulmates who were meant to be together and finding a way to make something after the shitty life they were given.

“Perfection bored me and Devon was the farthest thing from it. Together we didn’t resemble anything even close to perfect, and maybe that’s why I loved us so much. We were grit and gravel, held together with spit and superglue, fused among all our jagged bits.”

My favorite couple forever now

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

After reading Garron Park and loving it I could not wait to read the continuation of Devon & Maddox’s story. These two dummies are completely in love and have both the sweetest and most messed up relationship. But it works perfectly for them.

The guys go through a lot, from injuries to set ups and more. They have a small group of supporters, mainly their brothers, Xavi & Nate and Maddox’s parents. I loved this tight knit group who rallied around Devon & Maddox when they needed it most. They may not have much but love and family are all they really need.

I thought the book was a bit long and it did drag at times for me. I read the first book so fast that I thought I’d rip through this one. There is a lot that happens and I never got bored of Devon & Maddox but I would have enjoyed this even more if it was a bit shorter.

These two have found a place in my heart, they say and do some crazy things but the way they love together is unlike any other love story. They have been so fun to read about!

Second read through on audio: soooooooo good! Loved this audio! Totally forgot how much I enjoyed this duet! Highly recommend if you haven’t read it yet!

I loved Garron Park and figured I’d like Lot 62 just as much. I did not think I would love it even more!! This book was on a whole other level! Devon and Maddox are everything! I never thought I would be so invested in a relationship like theirs. It’s nasty, gritty, messed up but also sweet and cute in their own way.

This book is an absolute rollercoaster! One second things are going great and I’m laughing hysterically and the next second everything is crashing down around them and I’m in tears. I can’t believe the amount of times I was shocked by what happened in their story. Nothing is predictable! But their highs are incredible and for them it was special and perfect!

This book takes place a year after book 1 (this is not a standalone, you must read book 1 before this one) and I loved getting a look into the day to day of the HEA! They were just regular people with problems of being tired after work and having to figure out how to live with someone else. But of course it didn’t last long before crazy things started to happen again!

If you haven’t read this duology yet but have it on your TBR I urge you to move it up!! Both books were fantastic and featured a beautiful in its own way love story! I cannot wait to read more by this very talented author!

i genuinely couldn't deal with these mfs 💀 the beginning prefaces how the characters are immature and to an extent, that was very much their brand, but i don't hate it even a little bit. there are a lot of different ways for immaturity to manifest, but this felt more like inexperience rather than willful childish behavior. (not including the fact that they get off on beating each other up.) Maddox and Devon have sealed themselves as one of my all time favorite couples because they're so uniquely them in a way i feel other authors avoid writing their mmcs.

Maddox and Devon are together now and living in their own trailer. their relationship has hit a wall, like it does for many couples who sink into their routines and forget what made them want to be together in the first place. with full-time jobs and Devon running a business, the time together is far and few between but it's Maddox who suffers the brunt of the neglect. since neither of our mcs have been in a relationship to this degree with so much on the line; namely their hearts, neither one really knows how to approach the topic let alone address it. this leads to some angsty moments, but ultimately we aren't left aching too long. the boys are impressive in their desperation for one another and despite lacking the experience to know how to effectively communicate, they do what they do best and punch out a resolution. literally. they're so funny for that and relatable as hell cos the amount of times i've wanted to punch my man instead of talk things out is insurmountable. they're really living my dream.

while the two navigate the intensity of their feelings for one another, a big fat wrench gets thrown in their plans yet again. as they've been conditioned to believe: nothing gold can last. they've accomplished much in ways they were too scared to dream, but with that success comes the anxiety and apprehension of the other shoe dropping. this comes in the form of Devon's shit head dad.

Devon and Maddox have a high velocity relationship making them both foolish for each other, but Devon's fear of losing Maddox drives him to make some choices that are well-intended but poorly executed. the frustration is real because as unregulated as these two are, they're so damn endearing you want to protect them from everything. after a foiled plan that ends with a gun shot wound, a bossy gunshot victim and exasperated "nurse husband," things get even more tense with half the duo getting arrested. it's a set up and completely undeserved, which made me want to throw my phone honestly on some "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!" vibes but i digress.

the author has mercy on us because as dramatic as things get with some pretty emotional internal narratives happening, the jail-to court-to freedom path happens quickly enough. their brothers and Madd's dad help along the way and even though there's a four month stretch where Devon and Maddox can't be together, the book doesn't drag it out and thank fuck for that. it's a quick zap of high emotion and then the couple is happily reunited with new vigor. Devon, no longer taking Maddox for granted and Maddox, softening and being more sentimental.

Devon's dad looms over them for almost the entirety of the book, but with some unlikely allies, the boys are able to scheme against him. it doesn't go exactly the way you'd think but i sort of like the way Nordika rushes through the high drama so i can get back to what i actually care about– the relationship and romance. Madd and Dev finally get to tie the knot in peace and their wedding is as stupid and as redneck as them and i loved it sfm seriously.

this was such a good duet. my favorite part was hands down the way they described each other in their thoughts. never without calling the other one a dumb ass, their obsession was so palpable it was everythinggg.

ps: Maddox on molly is a must-see again. that spice was soooo filthy omg i screamed halfway through it.

pps: i have no idea why tf i was so dead but when Maddox kept trying to show the morphine drip to Devon and kept clicking it over and over, just for Devon to tell him it was the nurse-call button, i sweeear i teared up from laughing. it was so stupid but just one of those interactions that was very much Them™️

PPPS: I NEED NATE AND XAVI EXPEDITIOUSLY. i love her for giving us that sweet sweet build-up but i need book 3 more than anything else ever

Book 2 • m/m • trailer park trash • DV •

This one wasn’t as good as the first book.

So much plot which revolved around Dev and Nate’s scumbag Dad and I feel like it was a weak plot line to start with, because whyyyy even give him the time of day when he turned back up? There was a LOT going on with shootings and theft, dirty cops, prison and long lost family members returning. It felt a bit toooo much OTT.

But we also had Dev and Maddox’s struggles with navigating their new relationship which I did enjoy - feeling insecure, feeling needy and jealous but not being great at communicating except through fighting and sex. Many declarations of love. Many. I got it, they love each other 😆

Their slogan tees at the end though, wtf 🤣 sometimes this book read like satire but it did entertain!

The behind the scenes sub-plot of the brothers … I am KEEN to read that!

This had ALL OF THE PASSION I could ever want in a book!! This was relentless and completely wonderful! Obsessive, toxic, all consuming love and I am I here for it!!

Maddox and Devon are still the same guys from Garron Park, just a year older but still absolutely intoxicated with each other. They fight. They fuck. They freak out. They fuck some more. But they are devoted, faithful, resilient, unapologetic in their love for each other. They are also honest and always there for each other.

They face so many obstacles, challenges and life threatening situations in this book. They will break your heart and your heart will break for them! But you will never stop rooting for them!! For two people who feel like they are worth nothing, their worthiness of the life they want is so obvious! They take care of and make endless sacrifices for those they love and they love BIG!

That’s the thing about these two - they are that big love - that endless and relentless love! Gah! I want to to strangle them and hug them at the same time and they actually kinda do those things to each other.

Also, they make love in this book yall! That slow, powerful, make you want to cry kind of lovemaking that is so overwhelming but like the best thing ever!!!

Oh and a whole bunch of bad shit (that may make cry - which I sure did) happens but these two never never give up!

This book/series took me for a wild ride and I'm so here for it! I loved Devon and Maddox and their toxic, possessive, unhealthy obsession with each other. I enjoyed their ups and downs and their ability to fight through all the obstacles that came their way. They never gave up and persevered towards their much deserved HEA! My only critique is that I felt a few things were a little repetitive and that's what made it a 4 star read for me, but I loved their journey and definitely recommend it!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Format: ebook

This series has been nothing but a nightmare and my mental state is declining because of it.

I still stand by my rating of Garron Park (2.8 ⭐️). I was not a fan. It moved too quickly, Maddox and Devon were absolutely intolerable, and I was relieved when I finally finished it after DNFing beforehand.

And don’t even ask me what in the world made me pick up book two because I have no idea. All I know is I have loved every other Nordika Night book except Garron Park and I guess subconsciously it was bugging me that there were loose ends on that series.

So I still don’t know why, but I grabbed the second book and reluctantly settled into it, and…fuck. Like the plot is still laughably not great, and Maddox and Devon are still annoying little shits, but goddamn they made me care about them here. I can’t explain the difference between the books to make me enjoy this one but not the first, but here we are.

Devon being a sadboi literally made me cry more than once which I don’t appreciate. I actually started to hate Maddox more every time he was mean to him. Until Maddox was the sadboi and then I learned that I actually have a soft spot for both of those assholes. And Nate and Xavi just…did it for me this book. I was 100% interested in all their shenanigans.

I don’t know. I don’t know. I. Don’t. Know. This series has made me question a million things about myself and my sanity and now my own book opinions. It’s aggravating. And yes, I’m going to read the next book too and probably love it even more. I hate it here.

Do I like romance sequels with the same couple? Honestly, no. “Falling in love” books turn me into a psycho – I just fucking adore them. “Staying in love” books. Not so much.

That said. Screw this book for being so adorable. Maddox and Devon are so hilarious and savagely gorgeous, and I just love them.

Special shout out to my hero, Devon’s mum. We support women’s wrongs ✊🏼
