للأمانة لم أقرأ هذا المجلد على وجه التحديد بل قرأت الكتاب الخامس في طبعات دار ومطابع الشعب الصادرة عام ١٩٦٨ (غير الموجودة على جودريدز)، وقد ساعدتني هذه النسخة العتيقة بورقها الأصفر وخطها الرفيع وغلافها المهترئ في أن أستشعر قيمة العمل التاريخية. اللغة رائعة، مليئة بالشعر والسجع. الحكايات لطيفة، وإن كانت لا تخلو من الملل.
