Bio:
In the 1990s, I began teaching adults to use computer software, hardware, and networking. After several years, my clients became younger and younger until I found myself tutoring high school dropouts to pass the GED. I found working with at-risk teenagers so rewarding that I changed my undergraduate major to Education.
Upon graduating from the University of South Alabama with a B.S., I began teaching high school history and continue to teach history classes online. I now live in rural Missouri with my two kids, two dogs, two cats, and several chickens.

Silver Demon starts out right where book one, Silver Knight, ends. Diana, Sam, and Maggie resume book club and demons are showing up at every turn. Once again this series brings together new adventures and a mix of history with a fictional twist that was so entertaining in book one. For me the journal entries and remembrances of historical events scattered throughout the book were my favorite parts of the read. The character interactions are great as Diana and her friends meet up with old friends and some new friends are added to the mix and the character growth is obvious and enjoyable. I found that my previous dissatisfaction with the incongruity of the characters behavior versus their age in book one was fantastically corrected with the addition of one paragraph in the middle of the book about teenage behavior and thought processes and how this changes as we obtain life experience and mature into adulthood. I will admit I laughed out loud with that paragraph and it made me very happy and able to relax into the world these fictional teenage characters presents to us. While it has a great beginning, proceeding on with the adventures, and a very satisfactory ending I feel this series should be read in order starting with book one to get the full benefit and enjoyment of the storyline. The story is told primarily from Diana's perspective, although there is a chapter from a different character's point of view that occurs rather late in the book that gets interrupted due to circumstance of the story that I would have liked to be completed, especially since I am still wondering what happened. There is violent interaction and while not overly graphic it is implied and would recommend this for upper middle grade readers on up to those like me who are young at heart and enjoy a taste of something different. I am definitely looking forward to the next adventure.
I received this book from the author with a request for my honest review without any compensation whatsoever, other than the joy of reading a new book.

Another great installation in the series! It continued right where book one left off. I love the history spread throughout the book. Its fun to figure out which parts are real and which were events that the author added. I cant wait to read the next part!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I especially like the flashbacks that Diana has about her past. Compared to the first book of the series the speed of the book is much better.
