This is definitely a guilty pleasure read. The book offers some interesting 'behind the scenes' information, but reads as a super long tabloid tell all. The organization of this book ranges from confusing to non-existent. Also, the editor might have poor vision.

Wow! What a read! "Teen Mom Confidential" is a must read for any follower/fan of Teen Mom. Sean Daly does not hold back on releasing the secrets and scandals from the show. This book sheds light on a lot of things that did not come to light through the seasons of the show. You will find out things you thought you knew and things that you did not even expect! I was in shock about a lot of the things I thought I knew but in reality did not know at all.

5/5 stars - definitely will be re-reading!

This book was okay. There were a lot of spelling errors and grammatical errors, which drive me nuts. There were points in the book where I thought, "okay we get the point..." There were numerous times when the story just went on and on and on. Some of the lists (like criminal offenses) went on and on too. I liked catching up with some of the girls who were only on 16 & Pregnant that I remembered. It's good to see some of them doing well. This book was decent, but I doubt I read it again.

This book made me realize how much I know of the girls on The Teen Mom show. Most of the things I read, I was already aware of, which was kind of scary! lol. In the book, there is a letter for Sophia from her paternal grandmother, which almost brought me to tears. It reassures me how much of a heartless, stupid human being Farrah is.

I liked the updates on some of the moms we haven't been able to follow since their episodes, but this book is badly in need of an editor. There's a lot of repetition that I can only guess was put in to fill some pages. It's disorganized and there are spelling errors.

Don't recommend

I was really excited to read this. I had to make myself finish. I felt like I was reading a blog and not a book.

Amazing book about all the parents from MTV 16 & Pregnant & also Teen Mom series. All the bad things you didn't know the show did or the parents did good & bad.

A quick junky read full of almost decade old gossip. It was worth the ten bucks for a day of entertainment, but really just aided to the mush my brain is turning into from reality TV. I could have lived without reading this haha, that's for sure.
It was an easy read though and well written, just garbage content (which I happen to be in the mood for sometimes)

Teen mom and The Ashley’s reality roundup are two of my guilty pleasures so this book was a winner for me! There was still a good chunk of info that I wasn’t aware about considering this book is nearly 15 years old. I hope one day Sean Daly and The Ashley can team back up again and write a volume two or something with any new and updated information. (A girl can dream right?) 😂

Two stars because I probably would have appreciated the background info when it was initially published. But, most of this is old news and there was a lot of information about people I don't remember from all the seasons of 16 and Pregnant. Kind of embarrassing to admit that I read this one.

There's a lot of filler here (the last chapter is just a list of people and places), but some decent tabloid-style material. I can't imagine you'd pick this up wanting much else.

There's no reason this should have been a book. It reads like a bunch of tabloid stories.

Gives me a whole new perspective on the shows.... Not just the women but behind the scene as well.

Unfortunately it was a bit older than I expected so a lot has changed. Would have been great back when these stories were relevant.

Teen Mom is one of my guilty pleasures, so I enjoyed this tell-all book about the girls and their experiences while filming the show. I'm sure you could find all of this information online somewhere, but having it all condensed into one book was a lot more convenient.

The most interesting part for me was how the show comes together. It was obvious that these shows were scripted, but I didn't realize to what extent.

Since I just read Farrah's book, I was also very interested in the letter from Stormie (Derek's mom) to Sophia. Farrah is some piece of work, that's all I'm going to say.

All in all, this was a fun way to pass an afternoon.

I'd say pass on this book. It was uber long and very wordy. Most of the information given was stuff I already knew from basic Internet usage and the watching of the tv shows. I didn't remember half the girls they talked about, and there was borderline too much information. Is it really necessary to give details on EVERY individual arrest? A little boring, and I admit I skimmed towards the end. Let just say if you follow any of the girls on twitter and/or watch the show, you don't need to buy this book.

As a fan of 'The Ashley's', I was really excited to finally read this. If you like the way that 'The Ashley' writes on her site, you should like this book, though the snark is definitely turned down. Some of the chapters had info that I had never read before, and some served as a great reminder of things that I had forgotten. I hope that in a few years 'The Ashley' and Daly will put out an updated version.

The first hand accounts and interviews were the most interesting to me.

I'm a Teen Mom addict, so I'd say I have more knowledge than most about the Teen Mom stars. There wasn't much groundbreaking material here. There were a few contacts that had additional information (like Farrah's ex boyfriend Daniel), but for the most part, this was just a review of information I already knew. There were some updates, but nothing that really surprised me as I read gossip websites.

Not bad but not good

Not a bad book but doesn't live up to the hype of finding out things you didn't know behind closed doors. Padded out with huge facts on the girls who did 16 and pregnant not teen mom..... can't remember them so don't really care! This was supposed to be about the teen mom show!! If u want to know new stuff about the girls Google them rather than pay for this.

I was very impressed by this book. I have been watching this show since I started, and I always knew that it was basically staged and/or scripted. But I never knew how much!!! It makes me want to go back and watch the shows all over again and see how much of it is real and how much of it was just for the cameras.

As a fan of the shows, it was nice to know "the truth" (which I'm still skeptical about). I'd only recommend it to other fans, as long as they ignore the constant spelling/grammar/punctuation mistakes. (Seriously, the writers didn't even have spell-check? It's "publicly", not "publically".)

Also, the professional term for "baby daddy" is "baby's father". Not once did I read the correct term.

Great and easy read for those that love the 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom series. I found it rather fact orientated which is nice instead of gossip filled. Great job in keeping it to the facts rather then indulging the gossip.

This book definitely gave me a whole new perspective on the show 16 and Pregnant AND teen mom.

It seems that the show may not be scripted however it is HIGHLY edited to have the girls shown how they want. Not necessarily how they really are.

Interesting facts, if you're a fan.

Most of this info, you have seen on the show. Only a few things that I didn't know. Also poorly written and inaccurate. Said that people have never been shown on the show, that I have seen with my own eyes.

While I loved the teen mom 2 girls (my total guilty pleasure) this book read more like a long blog post to me. I learned a few new things so that was good. Overall, an easy read, I finished in a couple of hours.
