Passion is a wake-up call for anyone who's not feeling fully alive, and that's just about everyone, according to relationship guru Barbara De Angelis. She defines passion as a benevolent energy that infuses life with meaning and magic; it's not just about sex and lust, although they do play a role. Peppered throughout with poetic aphorisms, Passion explains how to cultivate passion in yourself, and subsequently at work and in relationships. De Angelis writes, "It's your passion that, throughout your life, will be your saving grace, for it will keep you going after your dreams when everyone advises you to give up, keep you searching for the right partner even when you're afraid he or she isn't out there, keep you traveling on the path of self-discovery even when you aren't sure where the road is taking you." The road is ultimately one of soul renewal, she says. While she occasionally waxes so spiritual as to get a bit drippy, much of her advice here is right on target.

I bought this booklet on Amazon in June 2024. It was written in 1998, more than 25 years ago. It contains three parts and is 96 pages long, making it easy to read. The booklet is about self-help and passion for life. However, I did not find it very inspiring; rather, it was repetitive.
Сложно описать впечатления от этой книги. Возможно, я еще не доросла до нее. Она мне показалась слишком высокопарной, неконкретной, с довольно расплывчатыми формулировками.
Human relations expert, Barbara de Angelis, explains that passion in life can be much more than just a word. It is a way of living. Children can tell us much about living life with passion, that zest for capturing every kernel of happiness and exuberance out of everything we do. Commitment to your job or to the one you love creates “passion” for your position in the company or to that special someone who has touched your heart. This little book is a real eye opener.
It was ok. I don't necessarily disagree with some of the things she's saying, it's just that I like for subjects like this to be backed up with scientific studies and facts, not just the opinions of the author. Where did she get the evidence for this? What makes her an expert on the subject? These are questions that I would need to be answered to rate this any higher. It wasn't horrible, though. It was a positive book that was easy to read.
