Batman burns the falcone money what will the repercussions be.
Harvey dent's home is bombed was it falcone getting revenge?

Published in 2011 by DC Comics.

This is a collection of 13 comics compiled into a single book that tells about the mystery of a serial murderer called Holiday. Holiday always strikes on a major holiday and is particularly fond of killing figures in Gotham City's network of crime families.

Batman, Gordon and Harvey Dent decide to work together to solve the mystery but this triumvirate of crime-solvers has its own internal troubles as both Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent become suspects.

Calendar Man is an immediate suspect since this sounds like his kind of crime spree. But, he is locked up in Arkham Asylum. But, lots of other super-criminals are sprung free and pretty soon Gotham is awash in their machinations on top of a serial killer. Plus, Catwoman is also on the prowl...

This was a great mystery - I thought I had it figured out and then I found out that I was entirely wrong - twice! Powerful story and Batman nearly gets taken out. Loeb and Sale are a powerful team.

I rate this graphic novel 5 stars out of 5.

A great start to the Long Halloween series. The artwork here is of a completely different era to what we have these days, and the use of colours is vivid, the pencil work effective and overall you get a real Noir vibe.
The story sets the scene for Batman vs the Mob, prior to everything kicking off with the rise of the costumed villains. Catwoman is at her sassy best here, and a young Harvey Dent is starting to rattle those Mafia cages.

Such a great start! This first issue mainly focused on Gotham's Mafias, Falcone and Maroni. Unfortunately, it is only available for one issue in DCFandome. Well, I guess I will watch the animation then

Although the mob/Falcone comics aren't always my favorite, this is a fantastic Batman arc with perfect, moody art, and some really good Bruce Wayne moments too. Amazing cliffhanger for the first issue, too.

This is my review on Batman the Long Halloween.
The long Halloween follows Batman the caped crusader as he is trying to investigate and take down the Falcone crime family. The only problem with that a murderer shows up and starts killing diffrent members of the falcone family on different holidays. The most important parts of the story are the characters and themes of how it leaves subtle hints on who is the killer throughout the story and the different characters and how they interact with each other and the world around them. “I made a promise to my parents that I would rid the city of the evil that took their lives” -Batman. In conclusion I think that the long Halloween is a strong and really good Batman story with its great twists and turns and it makes you kind of play a game of guess who when you're reading to see who really is the killer.
Similar movies and other stories I kind of find similar to this are Tim Burton's batman returns and batman r.i.p. I rate it a solid 5 stars.

Over the last several years I have attempted to get into comic books. In my research, I have come across this as being recommended. Finally began the series this morning. Well now, this seems to have the makings of a fine story.

Familiar characters. Bruce sits on the board of the bank that Carmine Falcone wants to use to launder money. Bruce convinces the president of the board to resign leaving the board in Bruce's hands. The guy who resigned is shot dead.

The makings of this is very Godfather-esque. Several things are ripped directly. His nephew, for whom Falcone funded the wedding, comes back from his honeymoon and is killed. A pumpkin and the gun are left beside the body.

Harvey Dent, whom this run will be about, teams up with Batman (with the help of Catwoman) to torch Falcone's warehouse full of cash. That certainly isn't going to ingratiate them to The Roman.

This is a must-read for any dedicated Batman fan, or someone who wants to start reading the comics. It has everything - Batman's most notable villains and allies, murder and intrigue, and of course, a huge plot twist at the end into the true identity of Holiday.

This is Batman at his best. You'll want to read it more than once just to experience it all over again.

Thank you, Jeph Loeb, for your excellent story crafting and true understanding of Batman's character. (The current Batman films/Zack Snyder should really take note.)

If 80 years of comics has shown us anything, it's that Batman's war in Gotham is eternal. His vow is an impossible task. But a struggle he must believe is possible for fear of losing hope.

BATMAN: THE LONG HALL🎃WEEN details a year long mystery that gets deadlier with each month. The holiday killer is grotesquely murdering victims (you guessed it) on one holiday each month. A story that's so different, and so unique, it's still remains one of more major landmarks in the Batman history of comics almost three decades later. And *arguably* the greatest comics to ever be written. Such a Bat-tastic DC story.

Even though it comes around for only one night Halloween is a special time, where we get to let loose of our inner monsters and terrorize folks everywhere lol. But in 1996 Halloween never ends and lasted a whole year in Gotham

The story that changed everything:

The three Haunted Knight tales were originally released as Halloween specials 1993-1995 of the Batman: Legend of the Dark Knight issues. And with its popularity, two more came out every Halloween. Which led to these same stories later being the inspiration for Batman: The Long Halloween. In the early 90's Archie Goodwin became the new face/editor. He was considered a most respected creators among his peers. Upon taking control of Legend of the Dark Knight immediately made some changes, as he wanted the series to stand out from the rest of the Batman stories. So in 1992 he hired artist Tim Sales who would also later work on Shadow of the Bat. Meanwhile, Archie Goodwin decided to create a special holiday publication. But instead of doing the traditional Christmas specials, he chose one that would be alot more suitable (Gotham City) for Batman.

Once again Goodwin hired Tim Sales but this time, he was paired up with writer Jeph Loeb and in 1993 they published the first Legend of the Dark Knight Halloween Special. And the rest was history. These two obvious were destined to do great things together. The combination of Loeb's dark themes and Sale's atmospheric art created a most successful (first efforts) of any Batman creative team had ever achieved. which cemented their legacy as being the most fascinating creative Batman team in this CRIME SAGA.

I have some other reading I'm excited about before the year's over. That said, more in-depth thoughts to come. . . See ya'll next Hall🎃ween same bat time, same bat channel. Lol

Batman: The Long Halloween #1, "Chapter One: Crime"

Also subtitled as "a haunting tale of Gotham City in thirteen parts", the opening chapter of the iconic The Long Halloween sets the stage well. Gotham City's criminal underworld has been shaken by the emergence of the Batman, though not toppled. As crime lords hasten to strengthen their individual share of the city's underworld, Batman begins to work alongside District Attorney Harvey Dent and GCPD Captain Jim Gordon to devise a way to take down Carmine "The Roman" Falcone. Falcone's organization has been struggling to launder their money due to the crackdown on corruption, but Falcone finds a way involving some intricate politicking. On the night of his nephew Johnny Viti's wedding, Batman and Catwoman both break into the Roman's office to retrieve different items of interest. The Bat and the Cat clash for a bit, but come to terms on helping each other in their own way. Batman learns of Falcone's money stash waiting to get laundered, and working alongside Dent, the pair destroy the Falcone treasury. And meanwhile, Viti is found dead on Halloween, a murder mystery that will set the stage for the series.

The Long Halloween is very much film noir brought directly to the Batman mythos, and this particularly aided by Tim Sale's brilliant artwork that provides the needed aesthetic. Sale's angular lines and bold contrasts against the deep black shadows provides a uniquely stylized look. One of Sale's best works, and adds to the legacy of Batman: The Long Halloween, a staple reading entry for any newcomer to Batman comics.

Es la primera vez que leo un cómic. Siempre he sido más de manga o en general de webtoons, así que el estilo americano es algo nuevo para mí. También es la primera vez que leo sobre Batman. Para quiénes no conocen mucho del universo (como yo), es un buen abrebocas. Si disfrutas mucho de los roces en la mafia, seguramente lo disfrutes mucho más. A mí esto no me llamó tanto la atención, pero es disfrutable y está bien construido. No tengo mucho por decir: es fácil de leer, los personajes son interesantes y tienen su trasfondo, los personajes femeninos orbitan alrededor de ser madres y de los hombres (como era de esperar), y hay acción. Está bien, es chévere y mantiene la intriga de saber quién es Holiday.

Aunque el dibujo no me satisface al cien por ciento, he de decir que este se compensa totalmente a lo largo de su historia con una historia detectivesca cuyo tema principal es prácticamente el choque de dos mundos distintos, los criminales clásicos contra la nueva era de criminales, mafiosos contra asesinos en serie. El murciélago que queda más como un personaje secundario es el detective que tendrá que buscar en cada pista, que no faltan, para hallar la identidad del famoso asesino "Festivo" y detenerlo antes de que culmine si objetivo final.
