The seeds of this book were planted, ironically, because of a Global Atheist Convention in Melbourne, Australia. Troubled that such an event should be held in his city, Dennis Prince decided to publish a one-off newspaper, The Regal Standard, a dynamic collection of God-intervention stories alongside nuts-and-bolts answers to common questions, as a counter to the convention and to answer questions that would be raised. More than 80,000 copies of the paper were distributed, and its success inspired an expansion into this book.
Graciously but decisively, each chapter presents the atheist or agnostic with well-documented God interventions in the lives of a kaleidoscope of people, each revealing God in a special and unique way. Christians, too, will be challenged and inspired, and better equipped to carry out their God-given mandate.

Dennis Prince, after working as a lecturer in Civil Engineering, attended Bible College and in 1976 was co-planter of the thriving Kingston City Church in Melbourne, Australia. He and his wife Nolene also published a widely used praise and worship resource in Australia - Resource Christian Music. Today he concentrates on Bible teaching and writing.
A very engaging read. Prince covers a wide range of topics and while there are limitations due to the book's size it's still an excellent overview of the different ways God is at work in people's lives today. We (Christians) can be discouraged and see certain people or groups as something of a "lost cause." If you're feeling beaten down I hope this book will inspire you to persevere and know that God IS reaching people far and wide.
And if you're not a Christian, read it! And it's ok to hate it, to get angry or sad, to ask questions and demand answers... And as one of the contributors in this book points out faith and critical thinking are not incompatible.
Had a few good facts but many stories that I did not see fit with the title. Reading the book "There Is A God" by Antony Flew, I enjoyed reading his new opinions with regards to DNA evidence uncovered and such. The book had a profound effect on me and I still own it today. The first 5 pages are dedicated to this and a summary at the conclusion of the book mention Flew. For a title to have that is misleading. I did enjoy the brief part on it and some others such as stories about Atheists discussing how they see Christianity through missions work, but many of the stories I don't see as "trouble for Atheism". Chapter 24 was pretty solid with Dr. Chant I will say, but it is difficult for me to truly see this book as a refutation to Atheism talking about a guy that had to quit online gaming because of demons involved with the electrical sockets and in the system. If you plan to create trouble, do so with logic, not stories of exorcisms. If you want the good parts, message me and I can tell you the relevant pages to read.
