"Do I deserve love again when I have done
nothing but murder? And when again I do find him, will there be anything of me left to give?"

Though she treasures her homeland of Ireland, Aislinn only knows she must find escape from the painful memories. Not knowing where she is heading, her intuition beckons her
to Italy. Perhaps, she will resume her long ago dreams of becoming a famous violinist— such a thing would be possible there. But that was before her existence had been altered by
her love for Donovan. How can those old dreams possibly even matter anymore— when she has lost everything that did matter?

Barely sustaining herself in the underground of Florence, Aislinn is found by a couple of stunning seasoned vampires who offer to take her under their wing and demonstrate to her
how a Vampiress should be conducting herself. While relieved to be taken from her dreary homeless existence and to be living in their beautiful old villa, she finds acclimating to their régime of seducing their helpless male prey with the lure of sexual promises to be inflicting turmoil on her conscience.

There is one catch. Aislinn is truly enticed by Katja, the angelic Hungarian golden-haired Vampire. When Katja seduces her, Aislinn is awakened to pleasures she never imagined existed before.

And she wants more. Much more...

Even as she battles against everything that they are— and in turn, everything she is becoming—Aislinn cannot help but be overcome with the intense sexual desire, as well as the bloodlust of their realm. Determined to find her love reincarnate once again—as she avowed to him as he lay dying in her arms—she is struggling between losing herself and
preserving her virginity in the midst of these increasingly overwhelming desires.

Then, one day, Aislinn is certain she glimpses and catches the scent of her love. With this new driving force, she is desperate to be with him again. But she knows she must be vigilant in safeguarding her secret. It is vital that she finds him before they do and relish turning him into their next victim.

When her cohorts imprison Aislinn in the dungeon, she sinks into despair. Now, how will she ever find him? Worse yet, trapped there, how will she protect her love from them?

What Aislinn does not know is that she possesses powers of which she is unaware. Will she discover them in time to save herself—and her one true love?

"I write descriptive stories in lush settings overflowing with every emotion shared by the human experience: joy, hope, love, desire, longing, lust, jealousy, hunger, loathing, uncertainty, grief, and desperation, amongst others. As we can all relate to some, if not most of these, I delve into these matters of the heart and put them on naked display for you, the reader of my stories. At times you will find the aura of my stories exceedingly beautiful, and then suddenly, rather dark.
Whether it is my novels or my Erotica novellas, I delight in writing a passionate sex scene, but do so in a manner which, though still deliciously explicit enough to stimulate your blood flow, is not necessarily crude. I write the stories I always sought to read, yet could never seem to come across these days.
I am most honoured to have had my style of writing compared to Anne Rice, as well as classic female erotica writer Anaïs Nin. If you enjoy work by these great authors, as well as more contemporary paranormal romance authors such as Felicity Heaton, Bella Forrest or Tina Folsom, then you are sure to love mine."

Rosalind Scarlett is an award winning Paranormal Romance author of the Anam Céile Chronicles, as well as the New series Erotic Kingdom which retells classic fairy tales with a paranormal and erotic twist.

Rosalind Scarlett lives in the mystically beautiful Pacific Northwest, USA with her loving and supportive husband, two rambunctious little boys, her pampered kitty, Bella, her feisty canary, Limoncello and her proud bunny, Micah. She holds degrees in Psychology and Interior Design. Rosalind is zealously proud to be of Celtic ancestry.

When not immersed in her writings, Rosalind's passions are reading, listening to music, yoga, spiritual exploration, organic gardening and living, riding horses, transforming ugly, old houses to their former splendor, riding bicycles with her family, hiking, mountains, lush evergreen forests, foggy mornings, falling snow, feeding old bread to small critters and watching nature from her deck on crisp evenings with a glass of wine.

There were parts of this book that I liked very much. It's nicely naughty at times (for all that Aislinn is attempting to hold onto her virginity with both hands, she ends up in a lot of sexual situations) and dark and disturbing at times (Zahrah is a right crazy vamp with some rather twisted, depraved needs). That said, there were also times that I wanted to give Aislinn and good hard shake and tell her that she was so much more than what Zahrah and Katja were trying to turn her into. SO MUCH MORE.

And, yeah, I get that Aislinn didn't know any other way than the one that those two vampires were showing her. I know she was lost and hurting after the death of her love. But... so much more, Aislinn. So.Much.More.

Honestly, this book isn't for the faint of heart. Aislinn finds herself in numerous situations that are downright brutal. She has to wrestle with her conscience over the things she has to do to survive. She hasn't yet found the balance that makes her comfortable walking between the world of the vampires and the world of the humans she must feed off of.

The fact that she's *different* from the other vampires she's met is probably the leading cause for that, though. Although I'm also leaning toward the idea that she's just been hanging out with the wrong crowd. Succubi don't seem to be the best teachers, do they? *nods*

The writing is lyrical and the revelations at the end could have a huge impact on Aislinn's future. Or, at least it might help her understand what she's capable of a little better.

Here's to hoping that things aren't quite as bleak for our heroine and she finds what she's looking for in book 3! Or at least she finds the will to keep hanging onto that darn virginity until her dude makes it back from the great beyond.

A Thrillingly Dark & Sexy Novel

Rosalind Scarlett plunges into the abyss with “Soeis.” With this sequel to “Cailìn” the author once again produced a beautifully written novel. I never quite knew where the story was leading, and it was thrilling to read the unfolding of what lay in store for Aislinn. “Soeis” has exceptionally sexually rousing scenes throughout; however, even they pale in comparison to the personal trials Aislinn must endure. The author skillfully allows the reader privy to Aislinn’s innermost thoughts (love, torment, anger, despair, grief, etcetera) which allows the reader to become intimate with the character at all times. There were times when Aislinn wonderfully frustrated me because she was too naïve to see the big picture (which is the case in real life). This made it all the better when Aislinn finally came around! The climax had me wondering how in the hell she was going to get out the situation intact. I can hardly wait for book three of the Anam Céile Chronicles!

Rosalind Scarlett pens a wonderful next chapter in the story of Aislinn. In the first book we got to see her life and then her transformation; in this book, she descends into darkness (and believe me, it is dark!) as she gets swept up by the sadistic Zahrah. As with all of Rosalind's books and short stories, it is beautifully written and she leaves no stone unturned in her descriptions of the action or the surroundings. I can't wait until the third book comes out!

Warning: This book contains some content readers may choose to avoid. There is one scene describing how horrible one of the bad guys is that involves forced incest. I skimmed over that scene and moved on without seeming to have hurt the story by doing so.

Aislinn is still distraught over losing Donovan. But she knows she must bide her time and search for him once he has been reincarnated. Book two focuses on Aislinn learning her powers and discovering herself. Her time spent with the "evil" vampiresses solidifies her disgust of the way the vampires live and encourages her to find the strength to follow her own path. She holds out hope that she will one day see Donovan again, and while she doesn't find her happily ever after in this edition, it feels as if she is one step closer to finishing her journey.

There is a lot of f/f as well as f/m/f in this book that is super hot. Rosalind doesn't hold any punches and gives amazing detail of all her scenes. Please keep in mind the warning from the beginning of this review. As I stated then, I don't feel that you will lost much of the story line by skipping over this part of the story.
