Following the spirit of the name, this book is very easy to access and quick to read. It is an excellent introduction into the basics and the absolute fundamentals of the LSAT. However, with simplicity comes lack of depth. Though the authors mention this several times, I must reiterate: unless you are very talented at logical reasoning and test taking, this book is not remotely comprehensive enough of a resource to guide you to an acceptable LSAT score. Even the three included practice exams are quite easy. The four star rating is only given assuming you're looking for an intro to the LSAT.

The book has surprisingly few errors (all exam prep books have errors, it's unfortunately quite unavoidable) and the errors are, for the most part, obvious, small, and therefore, easy to forgive. I think it's best to start your LSAT journey with this book, read through it quickly to gain a reasonable understanding of what to expect, do the practice exams, and move on to more intense and detailed exam prep books.

Did what I needed, which is to say introduced me to the basic structure and information needed for the LSAT. I picked it up as an introductory research tool as I consider law school. There are several practice tests in the back that seem to be thorough. Not having taken the test yet, I cannot really comment on their usefulness in preparation. But in terms of introducing you to the types of questions you will encounter and how to tackle them, this is a useful tool.

I didn't read this cover-to-cover, but between this and other LSAT prep, I did the equivalent work of reading the whole thing! I used this more for the strategy of how to approach questions more than the practice tests, which I think are now more helpful to do online.

It’s a nice basic fundamentals book but after reading a few others I think my time would have been better spent on other resources as it’s a very surface level book
