One of my goals this year is to take the Storage+ exam, and in order to attain that goal I have thus far used two books. "Storage Concepts" published by Hitachi Data Systems Academy and this book. Both books are helpful, but the former in relation to this book, it is like the Network+ certification passport review to the Network+ All-in-One.
Conceptually the material is organized such that aside from the first few chapters none of them are standalone, in that, the the material, real world examples, and exercises continually reinforce concepts in previous chapters, which was awesome for me because I didn't have to flip back too much.
The book to read if you want to know real life problem solving for Data Center Storage Engineering and SAN Solutions. Nigel is both entertaining and logical in his approach. Well written book.
