The premise was there but it was the overall execution that just did not work for me.
The fact she totally forgot (while she was SOBER) that she married Jameson was insane to me. I swear it is so out of place to have that occur. I would have preferred it if she was drunk, or Jameson had somehow faked the marriage license or marriage. That would have been more plausible than Aria FORGETTING FOR 6 MONTHS.
I liked how he was obsessed with her and deeply loyal to her even after just ONE DAY. Yeah it was too fast in my eyes, even for a novella.
The conflict ends up being about how Jamerson spent 7 years in prison after his drunk driving leaves a 16-year-old girl handicap for life. This is a very touchy subject to Aria as her parents were killed by a drunk driver.
I was a bit confused on how Jamerson was so rich, but it was probably his inheritance or his tattoo shop ranking in a shit load of money that made him this wealthy, but it was never specified.
Also, massive turn off when he refers to himself as Diablo during sex and makes her say that name. yeahhhh no.

This was a hard one. The writing style just felt off to me and it finally hit me towards the end of the book - the conversations weren’t realistic. Basically no contractions used, which makes everything feel very choppy and stiff. The sex scenes were very repetitive, albeit spicy 🌶️. This book just needed a lot more work before it was released imo.

The potential is there but I have so many questions, what happened to Jameson in prison? How did he develop in prison? How did he make his fortune after spending SEVEN years in prison?! Who is this Alan guy? I think you see my point, and the book was short enough that these plot points could have been addressed and still be a reasonably sized book.

August 9, 2023Oh this pains me..... but I had to dnf at 22%. It had all the makings of a book I would go feral over, but the writing wasn't it for me. It has a thick FMC and the MMC is big, has tattoos, and looks like a viking 😍 Its all my favorite things! It's dual pov, but it repeats what happened in the previous pov and I hate that. Jameson was so cringey and I really wanted to love him 😔

Sin City is the story of Aria and Jameson. Aria is the Fmc, She’s gorgeous and curvy and Jameson is the Mmc, He’s a tattooed alpha male who is obsessed with aria’s curves 😍. It starts off with aria who just went through a divorce from her cheating disgusting husband. She’s ready for a fresh start and with help from her group of best friends who love and support her. They go to Las Vegas and aria ends up wanting to get a tattoo and meets Jameson. The chemistry is hot with these two from their first interaction and it gets better. I enjoyed their story and I need more.🤣 The author Nicole Waterhouse does a great job telling this story and the background of the characters. I enjoyed the way Jameson adores aria and her gorgeous curvy body. He can’t get enough of her. She’s been through a lot and her ex husband did nothing but body shame her and in comes this man with his filthy mouth eating her up. 😍 Jameson also had been through trauma and made a mistake and bettered himself. He thought he didn’t deserve aria but as time goes on he realizes that he does in fact deserve her and these two were destined to have their hea.

The MFC Aria is like me a beautiful curvy girl 🫶 who has been through so much in her life that she has overcome and has had a lot of growth over the years, I felt like I wanted to jump into the book and give her a little pep talk and a big hug. ❤️
The author has a brilliant way of allowing you to connect to her characters and their struggles and you end up absolutely loving the story as it unfolds. The MMC Jameson stole the show for me with his dominance and sexy talk but also what made me absolutely swoon for him was his absolute obsession with how amazing and perfect her body is to him. I mean who wouldn’t love hearing that? 😍 I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more from Nicole 🫶

Aria and Jameson captured my heart from the moment she walked into his shop and he took her for an appointment. I love the details Nicole shares throughout the book, not only the steamy ones but the ones we are faced with in real life too the difficult ones, the heart breaking ones, they are relatable. I went through every emotion in this book, The heartache Aria went through with an asshole verbally abusive ex husband, the loss of her child being 6 months pregnant, the butterflies when Aria first lays eyes on on Jameson, the feeling of falling in love all over again.

and she so deserves to feel loved and appreciated after what she went through in her first horrific marriage. Aria is a thicker woman with curves, and her ex did not appreciate all the woman she is, but Jamesan, oh he definitely does. In a very descriptive and heated way let me tell you! I love her journey in finally loving herself and her body. I really loved the story in this one, and I found myself wishing it was longer!

Aria and Jameson hit it off straight away, and the steam begins to build, ladies this is a one handed read 😘. I don’t do spoilers in my reviews so all I will say is that both these characters are carrying baggage from their past that eventually comes out!
I’ve been lucky enough to ARC read all 3 of Nicole’s books and I can see her growth as s writer she really is s special lady with an incredible talent!
I’ve mentioned this in previous reviews that Nicole’s FMC’s are plus size/curvy women which is amazing but it’s not just the character themselves, It’s the way she actually makes me feel about myself.
I watch her characters grow and learn to love themselves for the beautiful curvy woman that they are and the hot AF MC’s loving them for who they are, not in spite of but because of it. Their confidence grows and they become the queens that they truly and worshipped how they should be!!
Aria & Jameson’s story is no different! When their history comes out I was left wondering what would happen? Would their HEA happen it’s a page turner and one I highly recommend reading!

Wow… this book was HOT. It was a quick read and had a good plot. I felt this book could’ve been a little longer, i was so entranced by the story. The spice was hot hot hot. I just wish I had a little more time with Jameson and Aria. If you’re looking for a fast paced, spicy, quick read, this book is for you!

This book was amazing. You instantly can feel the chemistry radiating from the two mc’s. I found myself relating to the FMC quite a bit, I am curvy and have often felt like she had. I was also in a relationship with someone who was not kind about my weight and thank GOODNESS we weren’t married. I found myself cheering the FMC along every step of the way. Enter the MMC who is a literal PANTY MELTER and he worships her curvy body. Absolutely so hot you can not tear your eyes away. This book is so hot it’s definitely a recommend and must read for me! I can’t wait to see what she brings next!

This is my second novel by author Nicole Waterhouse and I want to say I am a fan of her passionate romantic stories! First of all she praises curvy women and it feels fantastic to read about a curvy woman lead. Secondly, she creates these stunningly hot, desirable men we all (at some point) dream or fantasize about. Jameson and Aria's story is so fiery and intense. It was instant attraction and I loved everything about their relationship. The club, elevator, and penthouse scenes are so detailed they made me blush, and the way Jameson became obsessed with Aria and everything about her is just perfect. Read this! Any romance/smut reader will fall in love with Aria and Jameson story. It's short and totally worth every minute of your time.

Nicole gives us body positivity regardless of our curves. She helps us embrace them. This book is no different. Aria is a beautiful curvy girl who knows her worth. Jameson is 100% all in obsessive over the curves. This man that is hot as sin shows Aria that she is beautiful and that he is not going anywhere. I really don't think there is anything that I didn't love about Jameson. I loved that Aria has an amazing support group of girls. They are the type of girls you want as friends. These two were meant for each other. Can't wait to see which girl friend gets a book next.

The attraction was INSTANT. This was the beginning of a very physical relationship that resulted in them being tied to each together forever unknowingly (to her).
We discover Jameson “Diablo” holds a secret that would deeply affect how Aria sees him if she found out because she is tied to a similar past.
Don’t get me wrong this was spicy and most of the time they spent it doing some format of the deed. It’s fine if you like that however, I enjoy a good unraveling plot and character development. I unfortunately did not find this here but did find a fast and easy read!
If you love spicy scenes and looking for a story to revolve around that, this is the book for you!

The synopsis for this book sounded very promising. I had also seen some good reviews, but unfortunately, I wasn’t really hooked.
To be honest, I found the story lacking in plot. They get married and she doesn’t remember that they got married when she wasn’t under the influence of any substance and didn’t have any health problems that could affect her memory? It’s extremely far-fetched. It’s like the writer originally planned for Jameson and Aria to get married drunk, but in the end, it raised a moral issue, so… I don’t know, it was weirdly executed.
Also, don’t get me started on ‘Diablo’, I think my face has been in cringe mode ever since I read that nickname… 😬
I also struggled with the prejudices in the book. Thin women are reduced to the image of stupid trophy wives—and I say this as a plus-size person for whom all bodies should be respected. I also didn’t like the prejudice of the effeminate gay male friend who is therefore no threat to the alpha hero.
I think I’d try to read another Nicole Waterhouse book to avoid being left with a bad impression, but this book was definitely not for me.

Okay first where an I get a Jameson because damm he was everything? Possessive, hot as hell, passionate and knows what and who he wants. Enter Aria beautiful curvy FMC and right into Jameson's web and after one hot tattoo and an even hotter one night Aria leaves and back to the "real world". During a job background check she relaizes that she is married to the blue eyed dream boat.I loved how Jameson didn't stop and kept showing Aria that they were end game! The spice and absolute live and admiration these 2 get for each other was amazing

Another TikTok let down. It felt like the author researched all the usual tropes that booktok usually loves and just threw them in and tried to write a story around them.
So much telling but not showing, for example, we all love a rich mmc and here we have Jameson who is apparently a millionaire but it doesn’t tell us how he turned his life around and made his fortune after his tragic past.
Also the ‘Diablo’ thing was cringe as hell. Again he tells us he’s the devil in the dark but we don’t know why.
*I am not good at putting my thoughts into words for reviews, but I’m trying my best.
