ABOUT THE AUTHOR
GL Robinson is the godchild of Georgette Heyer. She writes Regency Romances in a very proper English style with a good dash of humor. She met her American husband in Brussels where she was working at the time the UK joined the European Union (or Common Market, as it was then called). After retiring from a career as a French professor in upstate New York, she happily swapped Existentialism for Romance and since 2018 has written 11 Regency novels. They all feature feisty heroines against a real historical background. She has also begun a contemporary crime trilogy featuring hunky ex-special forces Miles O'Malley. She's in love with him, but don't tell her husband!

In this short story, we have a woman, Ruth, and an alien called Gmymr talking about differences between species as he tries to understand us, weird humans. There is some environmental messaging too.

No clue how I should feel about it. The twist was predictable. The message is too much on the nose. I suppose the conversations were interesting and kind of funny too. It won't leave any lasting impact, though.

Interesting take on an 'alien' learning about humans, and doing what was necessary for his races survival. Great to have a successful character with a disability, but does she have to be socially isolated from her work colleagues? Perhaps it was just her status as acting captain but it did feel like it was part of her disability too.

This is not a book, its a teaser. I was really getting into this. The story was interesting, the characters were fascinating and I was enjoying it dammit when all of a sudden it ended!!!! WHERE IS THE REST?? YOU CAN'T LEAVE US HANGING LIKE THIS! I wanted this to be longer. I received an advance copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily

The Solution by GL Robinson is a short sci-fi story that will surprise and haunt you. Could this be a prediction of the future? I enjoyed reading this quick story. Enjoy.
