What are you going to do to me?"
"Lamb, the question you should be asking is what aren't you going to do to me?"

No one and I mean no one can write an erotic rockstar romance quite like Olivia Cunning. This book served as the perfect reminder of why I fell in love with her writing and characters in the first place when I first discovered her Sinners series years ago. But this book? This gloriously sexy and make you laugh out loud like a loon book? This is easily my favorite book by this author to date. Coming in at over 500 pages, I never wanted it to end. Yes, it's long, but never once did it drag, never once did I want to skim, and never once was I bored. Never. I can safely tell you that Insider was very much worth the 2 year wait because it was just that good.

So what did I love about it? Everything. But I suppose I can give you a list since I'm generous like that.

First there was Toni Nichols, the adorably naive virgin with the heart of gold and a quirky habit of collecting mismatched socks. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I loved her character and I'm usually not a reader that enjoys reading about 25 year old virgins. But Olivia Cunning managed to create such an incredibly endearing heroine with her that you can't help but love her right away. I could also understand how growing up the way she did with a mother that's more wrapped up in her job, losing her father young, and caring for her special needs sister would explain her current hymen challenged issues. She was just adorably clueless about everything. And while normally that would annoy me, here I just couldn't get enough of it.

With her mother owning the company she works in, she never quite felt like she belonged. But then she gets the job of a lifetime going on tour with Exodus End in order to create a revolutionary interactive biography about the famous rock band. This of course lands her right in the path of Logan Schmidt; adrenaline junky, manwhore, and the band's super sexy bassist.

The chemistry between them is instant and absolutely sizzling. And soon Toni begins to get the lesson of a lifetime in more ways than one...
You're sensitive," he murmured to her belly button. "I can't wait to latch on to your clit. I'm going to suck it until you come so hard you scream."
Toni's knees clamped shut again. he was going to do what to her whozit?

I loved how naive and clueless Toni was about most things and Logan's ways of teaching her. I just loved these two together. They never failed to spice things up but with a signature humor to it all that made this book absolutely unputdownable.
I can't wait to keep you in my hotel room for an entire day and show you all the dirty things I want to do to this body," he whispered.
Eyes wide, Toni's body stiffened. She wasn't sure if she should be excited or nervous by the prospect.
"Your pussy tastes so sweet," he said. "I'm going to start you off by licking it for hours."
Okay, excited it was.

Logan was everything I love about rockstar manwhores. Seeing him slowly begin to realize that his relationship with Toni is much more than he had intended. What's that they say? The bigger they are, the harder they fall. And when Logan falls, he definitely falls hard. It's impossible not to fall for someone like Toni. While Logan introduces her to the dirty side of things, she never loose her sweet disposition that draws everyone to her like bees to honey.

I also loved that no matter how much sex this book had (and it had quite a bit), it was ALWAYS sizzling hot and I never got tired of it. Olivia Cunning is probably one of the very few authors I know that can actually pull off this much sex in a book without it taking away from the story. It just fit. I didn't skim one scene in over 500 pages. And it never failed to make me uncomfortable aroused with how hot it all was.

The humor is really what took this book from a solid 4 stars straight to a glorious 5 stars for me. It was quirky, self depreciating, and so much fun. Logan is like a teenager with ADD most times, but it just worked. I just loved him to pieces.
So whose idea was the cleavage cam?" he asked.
"Mine. It's impossible to get anyone's attention when Max is around."
"Tell me about it," Logan grumbled.
"So I figured if they wouldn't talk to me, maybe they'd talk to my boobs.
Okay, who's next?" she called out.
Logan leaned toward her chest. "I'm Logan Schmidt, and I've been a fan of Toni's boobs for almost a day now."

I also fell hard for the rest of the members of Exodus End. Miss Cunning manages to give each of them a background full of depth that will captivate the reader from the very start and leave you panting for their story. And let me just tell you, if you've been impatient for Dare's book before? This book will probably put you over the edge. Holy mother but do I need his book something fierce. We also get more peeks at the members of the Sinners, which was great; particularly my favorite threesome.

Insider is a quick paced, funny, and absolutely sizzling sexy read that I loved from beginning to finish. Logan and Toni together never failed to make me laugh, oddly enough mostly during their sexy times. Which really just added to their appeal for me.
Raw means without a condom."
"It does?"
"What did you think it meant?"
"Well....I thought it mean you'd do it to me until my vagina got sore."
"Do what to you?"
"Pound me."

Seriously. I think I had practically the entire book highlighted with their banter.
Ouch! There's a gearshift in my ass."
"Oh, sure, you barely know this car, and yet you're already giving it privileges you won't give me."
"Not inside my ass. It poked me in the hip."
"You got me all excited for nothing. Back seat?"

I read the entire book with a huge goofy grin on my face, when I wasn't fanning myself like a maniac, of course. This had to be have been one of my all time favorite rockstar romance books that I've read in a long while. Fans of Olivia Cunning will fall for Logan and Toni just as quick as I did. It's impossible not to. I'm positively obsessed with this series already and I already know it's just going to keep getting better and better. I'm so excited to be getting more Trey with the next book (because let's be honest, you can never have enough Trey. But I also cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of the boys of Exodus end; Dare, Steve and Max all have such intriguing history that I already know their individual books will suck me right in.

In short, I fucking LOVED this book. HARD. If you're a fan of super sexy rockstars, this is one book that you definitely don't want to miss. Read it. Loved it. Thank me after. Trust me.

When I first saw there was an Exodus End book coming out, I was so excited I couldn't stand it! I thought… this is it. We are finally getting that Dare Mills book I’ve been waiting for. Well, this is not Dare’s book. This is Logan’s book. Logan Schmidt is the bassist for Exodus End and he is one of the most fun and charismatic rock stars I’ve ever read about. He’s a dare devil, a guy that will make you laugh out loud and a total sweetheart. I’m still anxious for Dare’s book, but I enjoyed reading about Logan and getting to know the other members of the band as well.

Toni Nichols is about to take on a job of a lifetime. She’s touring with Exodus End to make a new interactive biography. Toni has spent most of her teenage/adult life living with her sister. Because of that she’s unsure of herself and innocent. She’s not shy, just a bit of an introvert at times. She doesn’t know how she’ll get these musicians to open up to her. Then she meets Logan. Logan is immediately attracted to this woman with her unflattering clothes, glasses and sweet yet spunky attitude. Just a little time with Logan, she finds her self opening up and seeing this new and confident side of her. Logan lives his life to the fullest and has Toni wanting to do the same.
Oh Logan. He’s so… alive. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who appreciates life the way he does. Balls out and full throttle.
 photo 1663288d-aef4-4f8b-8291-985f93130fea_zpswakot1yd.jpg

I loved Toni and I loved Logan. I loved them together. They balanced each other perfectly. I did feel that their relationship was a bit fast, but I think with the setting of being together 24/7 on the tour bus made it more believable then in any other setting. If you’ve read Cunning’s Sinners on Tour series you know she writes the best of the best erotic rockstar romances. This was no exception. She nailed it. The steamy scenes, the story line, the lovable characters and just the right amount of conflict and angst. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star read for me is that there were times it felt a bit too long. Most of the book was fast paced, but there were some parts that dragged a bit. Overall, it’s a great read and one I would highly recommend to any of her fans. I am so excited for the next book in this series! It’s Reagan's so you know what that means… pretty much another Trey book! WIN!

DNF @ 20 Percent

”I’m sorry I don’t know what came over me. I just… wanted it.”

description

To be honest, I purchased this book on release day and read 20 percent and quietly put it aside. I was shocked that yesterday I was approved a copy through Net Galley since it's now released. Sadly, now I have to write something about my endeavor.

Unfortunately, the brilliant, sweet, virgin jumping IMMEDIATELY into the sack with the bassist and so on was totally contradictory to the picture the author painted in the beginning of the story and so I had trouble connecting with the heroine from moment she stepped on the bus and meet Exodus End.

Where do I begin?

For those who know Olivia Cunning's books I'm sure you were all dying to get Insider and I know most of you have waited for such a long time but be assured that it will all be worth it! ^^

description

This book will meet ALL your expectations. To me, Insider is probably the best book she had ever written! You can find all the ingredient that you've known in Olivia's book; Rockstars + smashing heroine + bad boy/dirty talker + sexiness + steam... a lot of steam + sex... a lot of sex = PERFECTION

description

Toni Nichols has THE chance of her life. She has the opportunity to go on Tour with the famous band Exodus End and put together information, backstage images and behind the scenes revelations to create an interactive book for the fans.
Even if some people, and in particular one, doesn't believe in her and think that she got the job only because of her mother is the company's boss, Toni is determined to succeed.

She was a pleasant character to discover. The more you know her, the more she reveals, the more you get attached to her. She has sacrificed most of her teenage years so she can help raise her young sister, Birdie.
Because of it, Toni is oblivious to a lot of things and mostly when it comes to men, relation with them and of course sex.

“If you keep staring at it like that, I’m going to come all over your face.”
Did penises really do that? Could he ejaculate just because a woman stared at his cock? Or would he need a little more stimulation? She took a steadying breath, leaned forward, and kissed the swollen head.

description

Logan Schmidt is one hell of a rockstar. He has the good look, the attitude and the skills.

description

description

Talking about skills, I'm almost certain you don't need a reminder of how much sex there can be in Olivia Cunning's book? and if it's your first time reading, welcome in the erotic world of Ms Cunning
Insider is no different. Logan is sex on a stick and of course the ladies can't resist him. The meeting with Toni is electric and the girl is seduced right away

description

Their relation quickly intensifies and I'm not the one to complain about how much magnetism and how sex appeal or sex period there are in here.
What appeals to Logan is how Toni seems innocent.
As a virgin, Toni takes every experience she has with a refreshing enthusiasm.

" The only woman I want is you.”
“Even though I’m inexperienced?”
“Hell, I think it’s because you’re inexperienced. It’s refreshing. Even other women who don’t have much experience sure don’t make it known.”

But Insider is so much more than only Toni and Logan's relation and sexual encounters. It's also an incredible occasion to get to know all the members of Exodus End.

I know a lot of us are craving for Dare's book and with this book, you will want it more than ever.

Dare has a soft side that only asked to be exposed. You will discover a little more about his secrets and you will be eager to know all the details.
Max is probably the most mysterious and the one who attracted me right away. I can't wait to be in his head

description

I don't know which one will be the most emotional but I feel something deep for both of them.

Steve was the one I wanted to slap most of the time. Not because I didn't like him but because he kept tempting Logan. It's going to be an immense pleasure to see his manwhore fall hard

description

Don't read the spoiler if you didn't read Insider, it's about Steve and I don't want to ruin anything

And that left me with Reagan! It was a delight to get to see her more.
If you haven't read the Sinner on Tour series, there are going to be some spoilers, but at the same time, you will want to know all the details and you're gonna rush to all 5 books about these other rockstars.

I know there are still a lot of things that needs to be sorted out when it comes to this particular relation. And I'm excited to get back to Reagan

description

What I also loved about Insider is how funny it is. Logan is an easy-going guy. He loves life and he intends to live it fully. His casual attitude often leads to epic moments with the band and with Toni

“What you said about not letting a man touch you?”
“I meant it,” she said
“Yeah, I believe you. I just . . . I want to promise the same to you.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I promise not to let any men touch me.”

And one more because I can't resist

“Got yourself a vampire fetish?” he asked with a chuckle.
“What?”
“No, of course not. Vampires aren’t real.”
“But I’m all about bringing your fantasies to life, babe. If you want to be banged by a sparkling dick, I’ll go get the glitter.”
“Wait. What? Why would your dick sparkle if you’re a vampire?”
“I’m a modern-day vampire. The kind that sparkles in the sun instead of bursting into flames.”
“You’ve seen Twilight?”
"Do I look like the kind of guy who would watch that girly shit?” “Yeah, I’ve seen it,” he said. “Twice.”

Logan was also very sweet. In fact it took me less than 8% to be convinced that this guy was the perfect option for the first book in this series

“I always kiss boo-boos.”

description

Impossible to resist right?

It's true the book is long. I think by Olivia Cunning's admission this one is the longest she has written but I can promise you the time will fly and you won't want to put the book down.

By the end, you'll be all ready to rock, to party, to want more of the Exodus End series, to be a part of this crazy and sexy world. I know I'm for sure

“You don’t have to lie to save my feelings, Logan. I’m a big girl.”
“I’m not lying. I wish I could fast-forward time a couple of hours so the show would be over and I could teach you more about making love. And you can teach me how to love someone."

4 I'm-in-love-with-a-rockstar stars

Toni is a completely naïve, clueless girl who has been the guardian of her little sister, ever since their father passed away. Because of her sister’s health issues she decided to be home schooled and now it's finally her time to prove to everyone that she’s worthy of being a journalist, not just because her mother is the owner of a big company, but because she's worthy. On her quest for recognition, she decided to make an album about a band’s life and the band can’t be other than Exodus End, a rock band with sexy rockstars who don't seem to trust her enough.

Logan is the bassist of the band and for some reason he hits on her immediately. He wants to get in her pants and help her get more experience in her sexual life. Somehow her innocence draws him in and even though he tries to keep a distance between them, he can’t seem to stop being possessive over her, but he also can’t seem to be able to give to her what she really wants.

If you’re familiar with the Sinners, then you’re familiar with Olivia Cunning’s writing. The woman is a master when it comes to rockstars. And not just that but she can write some really steamy scenes.
For me erotica + rockstars => hottest books ever <=> Olivia.

Toni was so clueless that it ended up being funny and somehow I could picture myself in her shoes. She was a realistic character with insecurities, eagerness and with the excitement of having new experiences, but also mature and self conscious. She could be annoying at moments, but who is perfect anyway? Oh, Logan was perfect. ;) He was exactly the type of man that I would love to have by my side. Caring and lovely and funny and adventurous. He was truly amazing. Amen, Olivia! Thank you for giving me the pleasure of knowing Logan Schmidt!

Also, Birdie was such an adorable character. I immediately felt connected to her because of her CHD condition and then she won me over with her bubbly personality, her cute speeches and her actions. She was simply adorable and made me feel so much emotion, that I definitely didn’t expect from a book like this one.

"You're crazy"

"When it comes to you,
I don't know how to be sane."

My only issue in this book is the feeling of the insta love. Even though the book was huge and it wasn’t instantly heart and flowers, I felt like everything happened so fast.

Still, if you're craving a hot book with rockstars this is one you should definitely try.

Type: Book 1 of Exodus End series
POV: Third Person
Rating:

ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review

Toni Nichols finally caught a break in her writing career when she was assigned to write a revolutionary interactive biography for the huge rock band Exodus End. To get the inside scoop, she would be touring with the band for a month by getting to know the band members in more personal level and learned about the workings of concert tours.

Logan Schmidt was the bassist of Exodus End. His passion in life has always been music, extreme sports and women - and he got plenty of each one. He took Toni’s sweet innocent demeanor as a challenge. As their friendship grow, their relationship status started to become a blur when it took them to a point neither of them experienced before.

I’m a fan of Olivia Cunning’s Sinners on Tour series and have been waiting for this book for quite a while and had a high expectation for it. For me some parts were a hit, while others were a miss.

“Got yourself a vampire fetish?” He asked with a chuckle.
“What?” she managed to say. “No, of course not. Vampires aren’t real.”
“But I’m all about bringing your fantasies to life, babe. If you want to be banged by a sparkly dick, I’ll go get the glitter.”

Logan was definitely a lovable character. He was the fun, crazy one in the band. His antics provided plenty of laughter in the book.

I have a little problem with Toni’s character. She was sweet and innocent, which shouldn’t be a problem except that at times, her thinking was too innocent making her ridiculously naïve considering her age. However, I do love her insecurities and how she indirectly used her sweetness to get the band members to open up to her.

“Toni only has one sweetheart,” Logan said.
“Is it Spiderman?”
Toni snorted. Where has she come up with that? “No, not Spiderman.”
“Better not be.” Logan scowled. “Slinging his sticky web all over the city. It’s not decent, I say.”

Birdie was Toni’s sister who had a developmental condition. The two of them had a very close relationship. I thought it was cute how Logan accepted Birdie’s condition and how he managed to subtly weasel himself in between the sisters.

As for the storyline, I wish there was more issue/drama. The turning point in the story was too predictable and was resolved too quickly – both of their own the personal issue. Also, I was hoping for some filthy sex scenes as portrayed in Olivia Cunning’s previous book. Sadly, that was lacking in this one.

“He got me,” he gasped and went still.
“Oh no!” Toni cried. “I need to suck the poison out.”

One of my favorite scenes was the sock snake scene. It was really silly, but it perfectly depicted Logan’s personality.

What I love the most about this book is how much the other band members were featured. We got more than a glimpse of their personality and background, setting a good foundation of what to come in the series. I’m anticipating some angst for Max and Dare’s story. I know from the Sinners series a lot of people loving Dare, but I think I’m going to love Max.

Of course a few of the Sinners also made an appearance ;)

Note: Exodus End series is a spin-off from Sinners On Tour. You don’t need to read Sinners book before reading this but if you plan to do that later, it does contain spoilers.

Toni is given a project for her job:
...hang out with the band for a month and become an insider.
A few obstacles falter her assurance in herself. She's a caregiver to her mentally handicapped sister who relies on her a lot. Toni has moments where she questions if she's the right person to write a book about the band.

Being a 25 year old virgin didn't surprise me but the fact she jumped into bed with a band member shortly after meeting him seemed very out of character for her. Logan, the band member, becomes her teacher in all things pertaining to sex.

I really loved the original series, Sinners on Tour, and can see the potential for the future books in Exodus End.
Rock stars + Sex = A Rockin Time *if this van's a rockin don't come a knockin*
I'm especially looking forward to DARE MILLS who I think the majority of us ladies are wanting to hear his story.

Exodus Ends series is a spin off of Sinners on Tour series. Each series can be read as a standalone series. You do meet some of the band members from Sinners on Tour but it's clearly explained who they are.

3ish Over the Top in Alpha Stars
* * * Spoiler Free
I enjoyed Olivia Cummings' Sinners series. The first book was my intro to rock band goodness... all the alpha brooding men with dirty talk to die for. The set up of woman on the bus with them...and all of the fun which happened struck me as a great read. Loved It.

This entry had a new Rock Band, an extremely innocent gal for the main character but with the ability to play off her inexperience verbally.
She had a gap in her experience and our Rock God was very willing to help her with it. This was the setup and like most of these types of stories... fun and games took place.

There were added elements...and the pull of heartstrings for a sister with Down's. These moments were caring and even our Rock God showed how "human and loving" he could be.

The high points as always were the things our randy fellow would whisper or say outright to his object of affection...wonderfully naughty, yummy things.

For me... it was a bit longish in all of the ramp-ups, finding their way to be together and outcome. She wasn't totally my fave and he almost was a bit over the top in his immediate affection and interest for her.

A bit of fun...a bit of nasty and always Cummings' Rock & Roll.

I’ve got the most exciting news for you!
I’ve been sharing a bus with Exodus End! Don’t believe me? Meh, you’re just jealous. I mean, I would be jealous too. Sharing a closed up space with Dare Mills, Logan Schmidt, Max Richardson and Steve Aimes… Oh yeah. Perfection.

Insider tells the story of Logan Schmidt, Exodus End’s bassist player—
The Bassist? Yeah I hear you, you there in the back! What is it you say about the bassist being the less important to the band? Pfff. You, my friend, are clearly misguided.
Yeah, sure, lead singers and guitars get to have direct spotlights, but without the bass, the whole sound would be hollow. The bass is the heart of that metal sound you like so much. Metal has groove and without the bass guitar? No groove.
Now that we set up some important truths, let me tell you what is was like to be on tour with Exodus End.

It was thrilling. Electrifying. Amazing. Exciting? Oh I could not even describe the levels of excitement to you. I mean, leaving H-24 in a closed up space with 4 rock gods?
The book was damn near unputdownable. The characters charmed the pants out of me. All of them.
Though Insider tells the story of Logan Schmidt and Toni Nichols, it focuses here and then on the other Exodus End’s band members and I loved every snippet I got the pleasure to read about Dare Mills and the rest of the band. You’ll also get to meet or meet again, the Sinners… Oh yeah.

The heroine, Toni Nichols, has got to be the most endearing and hilarious virgin I’ve ever read! It’s rare for me not to get annoyed by a too naive young woman, but somehow and I’m not sure why exactly, I loved her a lot! Her inner monologue had me laughing out loud more than once and her candidness created the most hilarious dialogues.
She was naked.
With a man. And not just any man. This man. Somehow she’d imagined sex should always occur in a bed beneath the covers in the dark. But apparently on a sofa in the back of a tour bus with all the lights on worked just fine too.

Toni is a smart woman, she’s 25, her mother—a press guru— is trying to get her to replace her as the CEO of her notorious publishing company. She lost her father very young and had to quickly fill the role of the mother to her little sister, Birdie. Compensating the absence of her mom too wrapped up in business.
Toni has other plans though, she’s a creative person and is not interested in the business side of the company. Fortunately for her, she’s offered the great opportunity to follow for a few weeks, one of the most famous Rock Band on tour : Exodus End.
And what an opportunity, Toni is a real fan. With the excuse of working on interviews for an interactive book, she’s about to realize a dream and to finally do something of a drastic change from her good girl behavior!
This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you to be a good girl and to carefully guard your heart, body, and soul from evil rock stars. I should advise you to stay away from excessive alcohol, drugs, sex, and backstage after-parties.

If you’re still a virgin next time I see you, I will promptly kidnap you, haul your ass to Vegas in the trunk of my car, and buy a bona fide man-whore to remove your V-chip.

Logan Schmidt’s character… Where do I even begin? I repeatedly scowled at his behavior, only to burst out of laughing one second later. Damn but the man was a real horny teenager in a sinfully sexy grown-up body! And the things he said!!! He would just sprout whatever was on his mind and not in a nice way. A real asshole. But damn if I didn’t laugh every time!
“I thought I could wait until you shaved it for me, but I’m going to have to risk the hairball.”

I think I can’t recall the last book I’ve read with a man-whore so one-track minded. It was bad a times, but so good at the same time! He wasn’t considerate of his bed trophies in the least. The real stereotype of a man-whore.
But on top of that, you can say the man has it all. The looks, the talent, the absolute charm and the bad boy attitude. He’s a risk taker, a thrill seeker, a sex god.
“God, I love you.”

Back to the story where Toni gets on Exodus End’s tour bus without knowing what to expect, she maybe had vague ideas, but she wasn’t near imagining what would happen to her. In a matter of minutes she’s soon to discover how much the life on a tour bus can be uncontrollably exciting. Especially in the vicinity of Logan Schmidt.
“You’re in trouble lamb.”

Logan is quick to claim his pray, and he wastes no time devouring his “lamb”. Yes you can talk about insta-lust, but the book being on the fun and light side, this wasn’t a problem for me at all. The sexual chemistry between them was on a rampage, sizzling hot is all I can say about it. Toni being a real secluded book geek, she is as inexperienced as it gets and that streak of innocence pleases Logan to no end.
Was she really going to lose her virginity? To a gorgeous rock god with a huge cock?

Oh wow, this was really going to happen. He was going to shove himself inside her and get rid of her blasted virginity once and for all. But how on earth would that thing fit inside her? He was huge! Were all penises that enormous? The ones she’d glimpsed on the internet tended to be, but she was pretty sure they were enlarged with Photoshop. There was no artificial enlargement going on here. She could see with her own eyes. Logan grabbed the base and tilted his cock up and down. Toni followed his movement like a drunk taking a sobriety test.

Soon enough Logan is going to be brought down to his knees without realizing it, and if you’re like me, you’ll like witnessing him falling for the good girl despite his efforts to keep things light and no strings attached between them.
“Lord, woman, I do love you.” “…I mean as a friend.”

One thing I loved most of all in this book—apart from the smoking hot sex— was the constant banter between them all. Of course there was the usual crude jokes between the band, but what really got me plastering a huge smile on my face was Logan and Toni’s banter. She was so clueless it created comical situations like you wouldn’t imagine. Logan took a real pleasure educating and tutoring her as well as toying with her and it was hilarious!

-“I can’t wait to squeeze them together around my cock and fuck them until I come all over your chest.”
-“Oh! So that’s how a guy fucks tits,” she blurted loudly. Very Loudly. Everyone within earshot burst out laughing.

-“Ouch! There’s a gearshift in my ass.”
-“Oh, sure, you barely know this car, and yet you’re already giving it privileges you won’t give me.”
-“Not inside my ass. It poked me in the hip.”
-“You got me all excited for nothing.”

One other thing will make you fall hard for Logan. I’m talking about his sweet side. He was the biggest contradiction ever at times, because he was reasoning and couldn’t let himself fall for Toni and would act like a huge jerk. But just seeing him interact with her, often saying spontaneous sweet and gentle words… And the way he was with Birdie… You could tell he was a great and sweet guy under disguise.
-“You don’t have to say things like that to get in my panties,”
-“But I do to make you smile.”

“Feels good, baby. You’re so beautiful. I’m crushing so hard on you right now.”

“I wish I could fast forward time a couple of hours so the show would be over and I could teach you more about making love.”

“Why are you so nice to me?”
“I have ulterior motives.”
“Such as?”
“Making you mine.”

Olivia Cunning is the erotica author who first shocked me when I started reading romance 3 years ago. I still have a very clear memory of “Backstage Pass“. But she shocked me in the most delightful way. She perverted me and I’m so grateful to her for it! She writes erotica like no other, she keeps her stories mostly on the fun side and every book I’ve read so far was deliciously dirty. If you like Rock Star romance, then you definitely want to give Olivia Cunning a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Next stop on Exodus End is Reagan’ story… We met her in Trey’s book, she’s in a menage relationship with Trey and Ethan. Their relationship has been discovered by the media and things are going to get rowdy for them. I can’t wait to read book 2!

Wonder Woman, infatuated, over.

“A sweet lamb left to fend for herself in a den of wolves. Whatever will we do with you?”

I finished The Insider over a week ago and for the life of me, I haven't been able to force myself to hunker down and write this review. I think it all comes down to the fact that I started it, then at 20% put it aside, claiming book slumpapnia. Then, deciding to soldier on, started it again. Then gave into my desire to start something else and put it aside yet again. This annoying pattern plagued me for the entirety of the book until finally (dear Lord FINALLY!) I finished it.

“One of the things you should consider stressing in your book is how little fucking privacy a man has while on tour with his band.”
“I can include that,” she said, “but I think fans are more interested in the size of your dick.” She backed into the bathroom . “I know I am.” She bit her lip before closing the door in his face.

In all fairness, I did enjoy this book. It just didn't have the "oomph" I've come to associate with an Olivia Cunning novel. It had the humor and sex I've come to expect, but it felt like a setup for the rest of the series the entire time I was reading it and it was difficult for me to get into this story because of it.

That being said, my awesome psychic powers are telling me that rest of the band members books are going to rock! No pun intended. I look forward to seeing Toni and Logan again as the rest of the series plays out.

3.5 Rock-n-Roll Romance Stars

description

"I'm in love with a rockstar!"

The Insider is my first read by the amazing Olvia Cunning. Her writing skills are superb and the music seems to radiate right off of the pages.

description

In the Insider, we have a young nerdy journalist named Toni who is given the task to follow the band Exodus End and report on the "ins and outs" of the band lifestyle in a best selling book. She hopes to capture the essence of the band and create a masterpiece that will launch her career and paint the band in a glowing light.

"I'm here to write a book that shows all of you in the best possible light."-Toni

description

Before she has even had the chance to unpack her bag, she meets Logan. Logan is the bassist for Exodus End. Things between Toni and Logan develop very fast. They are together faster than the speed of light. They connect on a primal level and the "lust is in the air". I am normally not a fan of the curse of the "insta-lust" however, in this case, I felt like it worked. Logan and Toni are trapped on a tour bus and their feelings quickly develop past physical attraction and a deep emotional bond is formed.

"I'm not laughing at you, lamb. You make me feel happy."-Logan

description

"This is going to sound ridiculous and naive and probably a little desperate, but I need you to know that as long as I'm in your bed, I will not allow another man touch me. No man. Not even Dare Mills."-Toni

The Insider is full of smoking sex scenes, rock-n-roll, flawless writing, and great character development. What was slightly distracting for me in this read was the length of the story. Although the plot was well constructed, it felt like things were drawn out just a little too long. Additionally, I genuinely liked both of the main characters but couldn't seem to fully engage with either of them. I enjoyed the story but sometimes I found myself more interested in what was happening with the secondary characters of the band. Still Toni and Logan were quite an endearing couple.

"I'm plenty quirky but mostly I 'm a slave to the happiness of those I love."-Toni

description

I will certainly read more of this series as I am quite certain the remaining band members will have quite the story to tell. I am quite pleased with the way that things ended with Toni and Logan. There were many moments of tenderness and individual growth for them both that in the end made the read worthwhile one! At the end of the day, who doesn't love a "rowdy rock star romance"?

"With the man she loved at her side and a bright future before her, Toni no longer had to reach for her stars. They were right there beside her."-Toni

It really feels like I've been waiting forever to read this book. When it finally arrived … let’s just say, there was a little celebrating going on in my house … just anticipating all the sexxxy of this book had my hormones racing. (am I blushing yet?) But seriously - if there’s one thing I can count on Olivia Cunning for, it’s turning up the heat!
Ms Cunning … I thank you, my husband thanks you … just Thank You! lol

So, like I said … I’ve been looking forward to this book for a very long time.

Logan certainly made the wait worthwhile. He’s an adrenaline whore … sky diving, bungee jumping, motocross racing, … is there anything sexier than a man with a passion for living life to the fullest? Logan really seems fearless. Until he meets Toni.
I wasn’t too sure of how to handle Logan’s behavior in the beginning, but he turned into such a sweetheart. And really, with all that tousled blonde hair and sexy swagger, who could possibly resist?

Toni drove me a little crazy. Introverted and totally geeky, she is the epitome of the wide-eyed, innocent virgin. Taking a chance with her career seems like the bravest thing she’s ever done. Until you understand her backstory and see how she handles Logan.
At times, I found Toni to be too nice for her own good & I had a hard time with her over the top naive thinking. BUT she grew a backbone … and her selfless devotion to her special needs sister? Gah! Unbelievably sweet.

The steam factor in this book was a little tame (for Olivia Cunning) ... which puts it on par with most other books in the genre. In other words - it was steamy, just not as scorching hot as I was anticipating.

Overall a really good read. I'm excited to get the stories from the rest of Exodus End!

I’m with the Band!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌎
Character development: 🤓☹️🙃☺️
Narrator: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Toni Nichols - Toni gave up so much to help raise her mentally challenged sister Birdie after their Dad died and her mother had to take over running the family publishing company. Now that Toni has a chance to do something for herself for once, her mom is going to try handle taking care of Birdie alone. Toni wanted to create a new kind of interactive electronic biography on one of the biggest rock bands in the world, Exodus End. The project was one that their publishing company was taking on and her mother let Toni take on the job.

The Hero: Logan Schmidt - The bass guitarist for the famous rock band, Exodus End. He is a major player and not just on the guitar. He has been known to take advantage of all the perks that came with being a rock star. He is also an adrenaline junkie.

The Story: Susan, the head of the project has absolutely no confidence in Toni’s ability to do her job and has no problem telling her that she only got the job because her mother owned the company. Though Toni schooling was perfect for this job and though she worked from home in order to take care of her sister, she did work for Nichols Publishing, she wrote code and did graphic design work. Either way going on tour with four incredibly attractive rock stars was something she wouldn’t know if she was good at until she got out and did it.

This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Joe Arden and Mackenzie Cartwright. Mackenzie has a bit older voice than I would have liked for Toni, but she is a very good narrator and is able to do a variety of different voices for different characters. Joe Arden always does a great job and he has a terrific voice, he is very good at showing sarcasm, attitude and emotion in his voice.

This was an innocent good girl/rockstar bad boy book, I tend to hate it when the heroine is a virgin because it just isn’t that realistic. Though I suppose everyone has to lose their v-card sometime, and it was a pretty steamy scene. Though after that, Toni was still so naïve and clueless about anything intimate that it was unbelievable. I didn’t like that.

I do love the ‘on tour with the band’ trope every now and then. They always have a good romance and plenty of steamy hot scenes. Toni was likable but she was so afraid of everything, including standing up for herself, that I just wanted her to put her foot down with a few people and start enjoying her life more. She eventually did, but it took quite a while in the story.

No one writes rock stars like Olivia Cunning! She's one of the best when it comes to the ambience of this sub-genre. Insider was a bit longwinded and I found myself skimming some of the sex scenes but overall I enjoyed it.

4 "Don't Say It If You Don't Mean It" Stars!

Of the Olivia Cunning books that I've read, I know that she is great at writing awesome rockstar books. Insider is the first book in her Exodus End series.

Toni has just gotten the best job in the world. She's going to follow the band Exodus End around to gather information and pictures for an interactive electronic biography book. The only problem is, this is her first real job that is taking her outside of her comfort zone. Most of her jobs have been ones that she she could work from home on, so that she could take care of her sister, Birdie. Birdie has Down syndrome and was born just two weeks after their father passed away. Toni was only fifteen and has practically raised Birdie. Her lack of experience and that bitch Susan, who keeps putting her down, leaves Toni unsure of herself.

"Everything will work out. You have to believe in yourself even when no one else sees your true worth."

She's determined to prove everyone wrong though. Only she's not quite sure how to get the band members to talk to her. Luckily, Toni is naturally good at getting people to open up. And then she meets Logan, the bass player of the band. Immediately he's interested in her, but Logan is always interesting in women. He's a bit of a player. The attraction between these two is instant, but who could blame her, she's on a bus full of gorgeous rock stars.

"Logan's smile made her toes curl inside her boots."

Soon, Toni becomes trapped in Logan's spell and is willing to give up her virginity to him. She doesn't tell him she's a virgin. When he finds out he's thrown for a loop. How could she be a virgin? She's gorgeous. Is she going to become clingy? Is he going to have to worry about that? That could become awkward when they are stuck together on a tour bus.

It's really fun to watch Logan after this. He's really just a one night stand kind of guy, but with Toni he becomes possessive and protective. He gladly accepts to teach Toni more sexually and let's just say these "lessons" were awesome.

Now I know some people had issues with the "virgin" giving it up so quickly. I can see how that could be an issue, but really once that part is over the relationship between Logan and Toni is amazing to watch bloom. It happens without either of them realizing it. My only issue was the way she talked and teased him sexually. Her sexual confidence was great, but the fact that she had no experience prior made it feel a little schizophrenic at times. But I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next. Everyone, including me, is looking forward to Dare Mills' book. I don't know the order yet for the other books, but I can see Olivia Cunning making us wait for his story for a while. I do know that Reagan's book is next. That should be doubly HOT! If you read this book then you know what I mean.

4 “lamb” “justfriend” “Don’t say it if you don’t mean it.” Kisses

I love Rock Stars. A lot . Part of the reason for that love is because of Olivia Cunning. Her Sinners on Tour series changed me completely and started my obsession with both her writing and the rock gods she creates within the pages. To say I was excited about the spin off series for Exodus End would be…the fucking understatement of the century. I’ve basically been waiting for this book since 2012…patiently…desperately…excitedly waiting…and after Insider, I can already tell this is going to be another amazing series.

Antonia ‘Toni’ Nichols...oh Toni Toni Toni…*sigh* - I challenge anyone to not love this girl. She’s so naïve – but it’s not in an annoying way, like…at all. It’s in an incredibly adorable, totally endearing way. And I think that’s because the naïvety comes from being unexposed to things ‘most’ people are exposed to while growing up. When her father passed away unexpectedly when she was 15 years old, it thrust her into the role of caregiver/substitute mother for her special needs sister…a role she took to like a champ but it kind of stole her adolescent years and forced her to grow up and be more mature. She’s an amazing big sister…like off the charts, you couldn’t dream of a better sibling and her love for Birdie makes her even more amazing in my eyes. But there are a lot of amazing things about Toni…her heart in general, could not get any bigger if she tried. She’s insanely companionate and loving, she internalizes other peoples emotions and just taps in so purely to whatever they are feeling and it’s like nothing I’ve ever read in a character. It made her so special and so unique, I really loved that about her. She’s quirky and weird and goofy…all things that made me love her more. As she is exploring what life is like outside of her comfort zone, she’s learning a lot, but I think going out into the big bad scary world and experiencing new things is exactly what Toni needs.

‘Laughing, probably about her wearing pajamas, the guys headed up the bus steps in single file. Except Logan. He lifted a hand touched her cheek with his fingertips. His thumb brushed her trembling lips. “A sweet lamb left to fend for herself in a den of wolves. Whatever will we do with you?”
“What do you mean?”
“I’ll see you inside.”’

Logan Schmidt…playful, fun loving, wild child bassist of Exodus End. I wasn’t expecting his story to be first, but he was definitely a pleasant surprise. His personality is truly one of a kind…he’s totally the class clown, the type that you’re never really sure when he is being serious because he’s that good at pulling off a joke with a straight face. He’s a total manwhore…huge…so of course, I had a soft spot for him right away. He’s an extreme dare devil…motor cross, sky diving, bungee jumping…if it’s an adrenaline rush and there is a risk of getting hurt – he’s totally there, balls to the wall and with a huge smile on his face. He’s kind of a lose cannon…which is both a good thing and a bad thing because the only time he really flies off the handle is if/when he’s truly passionate about something…because Logan really doesn’t do anything half ass. But Logan is damaged in his own way…he didn’t grow up knowing true love…his family life was rough and he holds a lot in – expressing and experiencing emotions is not something that he’s really comfortable with. Which is part of the reason why his hard and fast lifestyle has worked so well for him. But Toni changes everything…

‘“Next time it will be all for your pleasure. I won’t let myself get so carried away.”
As if she was going to argue with that.
“And then the next time, you’ll teach me to suck your cock, right?” she said.
He groaned and wrapped both arms around her to give her an enthusiastic hug. “Woman, you’re going to get me hard again if you aren’t careful.”
Was that supposed to be some kind of warning? She took it as more of a challenge.’

There is so much about these two that I could not get enough of. First of all, they seriously could not be more polar opposite in just about every way, which works out perfectly for their chemistry. She’s the innocent little lamb…and he’s the big bad scary wolf…it’s almost comical how well that fits them in every way…but put the two of them together and things just ignite. Sweet little innocent Toni never expected Logan, in any way shape or form…but at the same time, I know Logan may have had his expectations about what he wanted with Toni, the feelings that came along with it were completely out of the blue. They’re both facing uncharted waters and while it got messy at times, it really fit well with who they were as individuals. Logan and Toni aren’t your average guy and girl…and neither is their relationship, but that’s what I liked most about them. He’s playful and brings that out in her and she unleashes a protective and caring side of him that he’s never experienced. He’s giving her sex lessons (which, for the record, are the best thing in life) and she’s basically…for lack of a better way to call it….giving him an emotional education. All of it came together for an truly special connection between these two that I thrived off of…was completely sucked into…it was magical and just sheer bliss.

“I’m good at paying attention.”
He scowled. “I’m not. The only thing I’m good at is being a fuck-up.”
She rubbed his worried brow with her fingertips until his flesh relaxed beneath her touch. “You’re not a fuck-up, Logan. You’re . . .” Wonderful. She sighed internally, not wanting him to know how infatuated she was with him already. Or maybe her jumping into his bunk with him was a dead giveaway.
“Prove it. Name one thing I’ve done in the past twenty-four hours that wasn’t impulsively stupid.”
“Impulsive, yes, stupid, no. You’re a creature of instinct.”
“So now I’m a creature?”
“A man,” she corrected. “A sexy one who I can’t stop thinking about, even though I know I should be paying attention to my work.”
“I have the same annoying problem when it comes to you.”
“You don’t have to say things like that to get into my panties,” she said with a grin.
“But I do to make you smile.” He kissed her, and she melted against him. His lips moved to her jaw. “Besides,” he whispered, “it’s true.”

I hate talking about what I didn’t love but as many Olivia Cunning books as I have read, I have a certain expectation and the fact that it felt short for me at all is like poison on my tongue. But I’m honest to a fault…and there were a few things that didn’t work, so I guess it’s time to rip off the band aide. I’m a complete sucker for insta-love…give me the right emotions with the right couple and I’m totally there and on board…no questions asked. Toni and Logan are insta-love…kinda – on her side, 100% - but it felt natural for her. I mean, she is the ‘cliché virgin’ but I didn’t mind that and she’s got her own uniqueness that made her stand out and be different in my mind but when she was in love after 48 hours I was a little…disappointed. I had feelings…lots of good, wonderful, positive, amazing feelings…but I didn’t feel the love yet. I think a few more days establishing them with conversations, stretching out their interactions slightly, things like that, and I would have been sold. Then, with Logan’s yo-yo act, I started to get a little frustrated…once he explained where he was coming from, I got it and I was on board…but I never really felt like he had that ah-ha moment where everything clicked and I felt that change of heart in him…and I think for me to really feel their love, that was what I needed. Like the moment when he finally said ‘I love you’ and he really meant it – the setting and everything was awesome…but the way it was presented I was like, what? Wait…did that just happen? And I almost didn’t want to believe it…because of his inner thoughts and everything. When it came down to it, I truly got their connection…it was there and it was amazing and I loved most of it.

‘She smiled softly and shook her head. “You don’t have to lie to save my feelings, Logan. I’m a big girl.”
“I’m not lying.” He lifted her hand from her lap and kissed her wrist. “I wish I could fast-forward time a couple of hours so the show would be over and I could teach you more about making love,” he said. And you can teach me how to love someone.
She wrapped her arms around his head and hugged him to her abdomen. “Why are you so nice to me?”
His chuckle was muffled against her belly. “I have ulterior motives.”
“Such as?”
“Making you mine.” Shit. Why had he said that? He was showing his cards much too soon.
She slapped his shoulder. “Don’t say it if you don’t mean it.” He wished he could say he didn’t mean it. He didn’t particularly want to be so far gone. Ah, what the fuck—he liked her. A lot. She was just going to have to learn to live with it. If he could admit it, surely she could accept it.
“I mean it, Toni.” He untangled his head from her grasp so he could look up at her. “I really do like you. And it isn’t just lust.” For once in his dick-led life. “I can’t stop thinking about you. Even when you’re not in my bed, you’re in my head. It’s driving me crazy. I’m not sure how to handle it.”
She smiled, and he saw her feelings displayed clearly in her eyes. “You’re going to break my heart someday.” She released a sigh and stared over his head as she spoke. “I really like you too, Logan. But maybe it’s best if we pretend the only thing between us is lust. If I fall for you . . .” She shook her head and closed her eyes.
“You don’t trust me with your heart.”
“Should I?”
He wanted to say she should, wanted to say that he’d never hurt her, but he, more than anyone, was aware of his track record with women.
“That’s something you’ll have to decide on your own.”’

Don’t get me wrong, even with the minor issues I had, I still completely enjoyed this book – I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face…and when I wasn’t smiling, I was drooling over the boys, or the sexiness between Toni and Logan…there really wasn’t a point when I didn’t enjoy what I was reading. All of that can be attributed to one main factor…Olivia’s writing. Her combination of endearing and loveable characters, engaging storylines, flat out perfect dialogue and sinfully delicious sex is something I’ve never seen. It gets me every time and I never want the spell to be broken. The depth and detail that she puts into her characters, whether it’s the main couple or not, is absolute perfection. I feel like I know every single one of them…and it’s something that can’t be replicated, it’s just a feeling that I get when I read…either it happens or it doesn’t and it’s so powerful with her characters. I also have to say…her sex scenes are some of the hottest I have ever read. Unique, carefully tailored to fit the couple perfectly, never over the top or tasteless…just pure, amazing, red-hot sex.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be a bother. I just got a little worked up when you kissed me.”
Logan chuckled. “A bother? You’re kidding, right?”
He wrapped a lock of her hair around one finger and tugged. “You are no bother,” he said. “What you are, Miss Nichols, is a distraction.”
“Isn’t that the same thing?”
He shook his head. “I wouldn’t want to be around a bother. I can’t stop thinking about or wanting to be near a distraction. Does that sound like the same thing to you?”

There is so much packed into this book…that’s part of what I love about the first book in a new series…we get to fall in love with a new couple and then see all the building blocks for what is to come. We get to meet all of the other band members, get the feel of the group overall and how they all interact and gel together…and I’m getting all excited and squirmy because the chemistry and connection between the guys is just as crucial as it is between the couple. So Exodus End is comprised of five people:
• Dare Mills – Lead Guitarist (original band member)
• Steve Aimes – Drummer (original band member)
• Maximillian Richardson – Lead Singer (original band member)
• Logan Schmidt – Bassist (original band member)
• Reagan Elliot – Rhythm Guitarist (substitute for Max)
Every single one of them is so incredibly beyond words perfect that I almost don’t know what to do with myself. The Bro-mances are off the chart…and I l-o-v-e-d every single aspect of it. Plus…Exodus End is an older band (these guys are in their 30’s – and Oh-Em-Gee…that totally made them hotter!) so there is mountains of history –some good, some bad and some ugly…and we barely scratch the surface. Every detail I got made me hungry for more and I’m so excited to see what Olivia does with the rest of the Exodus boys. And the fact that Exodus End Series connects into The Sinners on Tour Series…just…I can’t even tell you. Happiness feels EXPLOSION for me. The Sinners aren’t a major part of the book…but they make their appearances here and there, and with Trey (Sinners rhythm guitarist) being the younger brother of Dare and the boyfriend of Reagan…the bands aren’t going to be cutting ties anytime soon - which is perfectly fine by me!

“You’re lying.” She hoped.
“Why do you say that?”
“You can’t even look at me, Logan.” She touched his hand, surprised when instead of drawing away, he turned his hand over to clutch hers in an iron grip. “At least look at me while you break my heart.”
“I don’t want to break your heart, Toni.” He lifted her hand and pressed it into the center of his chest. His heart thudded against the back of her hand. “Not when seeing you upset breaks mine.”

The ending was…a little quicker than I expected. After the shit hit the fan, my heart was worried about how everything was going to affect Toni and Logan, but luckily, like everything else, it fit so well with the characters, so there wasn’t drama for the sake of drama and things weren’t drug out unnecessarily – and I really appreciated that. I got my HEA…it’s not ‘final’ but then again, it never is with these books because we’ll see more of Toni and Logan as the series continues, but I was really happy with where things were left off. So…in case it wasn’t obvious…I am so ready for Outsider. With the events that happen in Insider, the buildup is perfect and I am already too excited to see what will happen with Reagan, Trey and Ethan. Because of Double Time…I already know the characters…this is just a continuation of their story, so I feel like my excitedness is multiplied by a million. Either way, I know Olivia will blow their story out of the water.

Well the wait for the first book of Exodus End did not kill me like I originally thought! Who would have thunk it!

Toni Nichols is getting her chance to live her life, explore her dreams of her future and lose a little bit of her innocence. Doing an interactive biography about Metal band Exodus End is about to deliver all of that and then some.

Bassist, Logan is a thrill seeker at heart and a man-whore on most days, but there is something about Toni that has his full attention even if he isn’t willing to realize that she is far more than just a friend.

But this isn’t just all fun and games for Toni and Logan. The band members all have secrets that they’ve kept hidden and having a journalist (even if isn’t quite one) on tour with them comes with a whole new set of risks.

Although I really loved this story, it did take the injection of drama at the end to really give me the story I wanted for this first venture into this series. Toni was lovable and very quirky while Logan was this lovable goof that had me cringing whenever he stuck his foot in his mouth without realizing what we was saying.

But what I absolutely loved the most was the insight into the rest of the band, even Steve (who got on my nerves the most). Max and Dare.... I need that story, those two are going to break my freaking heart. But up next is Trey, Eric and Reagan who get a lot of face time in this particular book. I can’t wait to journey with this author and these guys as she brings us another epic rock and roll love series!

4 Rockin' Stars!!!

Olivia Cunning writes these rock star books making you feel a part of the band, that you’re just a little bit cooler, a little more rock and roll, at least while you’re reading it. Her characters are presented very vividly, like you are both their fan and their friend.

Toni Nichols is an inexperienced 25 year old who had chosen to take care of her younger sister instead of chasing her dreams. However, she is now finally going to take advantage of an opportunity that presented itself by taking an assignment to writes and document and create an interactive biography book about the band by going on tour with them. Her assignment is to become an Exodus End insider.

Logan Schmidt is the bassist for Exodus End. He's a carefree dare devil with a sweet disposition. Though he fought labeling their relationship a relationship, his actions showed otherwise.
Maybe love was the adrenaline rush that had been missing from his life all these years.

This was a great first book in the series. Toni has an interview with each band member and in those interviews, we get a glimpse of each member’s personality and their past and secrets. What she lacked in experience she made up for with a kind heart, a gentle soul, compassion and warmth. You're able to see a different side to all the members because they react to her warmth and caring personality.

In true Olivia Cunning style, there’s definitely some insta-lust that leads to insta-f*ck and that’s just how she rolls, which if you’re already a member of the Sole Regret fan club or a Sinners groupie, it’s the normal formula for all her naughty rock star romance.
“I thought I could wait until you shaved it for me, but I’m going to have to risk the hairball.”

Of course it was crude and crass but it's what you've come to expect from Olivia Cunning's rockstars.
She entered the bathroom and there was a series of thuds as a collection of somethings tipped over in succession. “Logan! What in the world are all these things? There’s a rainbow of dicks in here!”

She also does great guy banter. Just like all the members of Sole Regret and Sinners, one of the aspects of the stories I enjoy so much are the way the guys talk and act around each other. They constantly crack me up. They are real in a sense that they have each other’s backs but they also argue and fight and rib each other.

And for those like me who was intrigued and curious about Dare Mills…well let me tell ya ladies that he’s even more intriguing than ever in this book. I want his story more than ever now but this book managed to really peak my interest about all the band members. She’s given us a snippet of their stories and I can’t wait for more.

It was a solid 4 star read until I hit the 70% mark. Oh man, after reading those last 30% I want to downgrade the rating to one star, because that is how bad and upsetting it was.

The whole time I was reading the book, I was hoping and praying it won't take the overused and most obvious direction. Unfortunately, the book did take that direction and it was even worse than I anticipated.

Ahhh what a fucking disappointment. After that ending I can't even list the many things I liked about this book. Disappointing
.

Why did I read this? 2 stars seems waaaaaaay too much.

Okay, it was good. I had my issues with it but was still good for the start of the series. Now I want the rest of the band's book. =)))
