I won this through Goodreads First Reads Giveaway.

The Pleasures of Autumn has it all. Romance, mystery, suspense, a great story line and a bunch of BAAA CHICKAAA WAAA WAAAaaa... The author, (and I use that term loosely since it is actually a collaboration of a dynamic duo) Evie Hunter, really put together a great read!

Sinead O'Sullivan a museum curator has been accused of stealing a priceless ruby, the Fire of Autumn. Although she swears her innocence, there irrefutable evidence... security footage of her actually taking the ruby. After bailing her out of jail, her wealthy uncle sends his own personal security specialist to watch over her and ensure she shows up for court and not lose a dime of his fronted bail money. Sinead must find a way to prove she isn't guilty while hiding a secret that would only help to convict her and shame her family. Her alter ego Lottie, a sexy and famous burlesque dancer!

The instant electricity between Niall and Sinead is hard to ignore. Even though he doesn't trust her and she thinks he won't help her to solve this dilemma, the two can't keep their hands off each other! By hands I mean every inch of their bodies. I love the fact that each sexual situation was different and exhilarating! I can't stand when an author just regurgitates the same sex acts over and over and over again!

This is really worth the read and I will definitely be checking out the others in the series. I believe I read somewhere that they are each stand alone novels and not a continuation of a story line.

Oh My Giddy Aunt!!!!! Evie Hunter has managed to do it again!!! I adore this series (as most of you will know) I devoured the previous books and was so consumed by them that I felt like I was actually a part of that world. And with The Pleasures of Autumn is was no different. I was completely captivated by this wonderful, sexy and exciting story that I forgot all about time and devoured every page, word for word!!

SUMMARY (60 words or less)
Disappointed actually. I loved the first two books in the series (btw they are all stand alone), I didn’t love this one. It had it’s moments, but there were plot holes and believability issues that were hard to ignore. I will however read on in the series.

4.5 Hearts I was riveted. This was a wonderful read. While it is under the erotica genre there is more story than sex in this book. The characters are ones we have met before in the other Pleasures series but it can certainly be read as a stand alone.

I really enjoyed Sinead. She is an interesting character and more rounded of a character than the previous ladies in the series (even though I enjoyed them too). This should have been called Pleasures of the Gemini. Sinead is such a Gemini of a character. She is two complete characters in one. She enjoys her job at a museum but also has a secret life as a burlesque dancer which fulfills her other side. Naill is interesting as well. He is a Dom with interesting ideas that somehow Sinead finds just as interesting.

I would probably have given this story 5 Hearts except a couple of little things that kept driving me crazy. While I understood why Sinead could not tell Naill about her Lottie side it got tiresome for her to “switch” characters “I will show him Lottie if he thinks Sinead is too demure” type attitude. Even down to looking at herself in the mirror and thinking “this is more Lottie than it is Sinead”. It could be too much when it happened too closely together. But the little things that drove me nuts was things like they are looking for someone (no spoilers) and someone says to Sinead “did you get my email about that?” thinking she was someone else and never once did she say “no what email did you send that too?”. Hello wouldn’t that be the first thing you would ask?

Ok now all that being said I so enjoyed this book. I can’t wait for the next in the Pleasures series and am sad that there are only four seasons. Ummm Pleasures of the Gemini… Maybe they could start with the Zodiac signs which would give us fans 12 more books to enjoy!

This romantic suspense tale is certainly good fun as a museum curator who secretly financed her studies through stripping is accused of stealing a jewel, the Fire of Autumn. Will she lose her job; will she go to a Swiss jail; most importantly to this lady, will her secret come out to everyone?

A previous book which I hadn't read established a well-off socialite family and our red-haired Irish heroine is a cousin of that family. They can afford to hire investigators and security. So very shortly our heroine is guarded by the most inept security firm in Europe. Over the course of a couple of days she eludes them twice and is abducted from their care three times. They never once suggest providing a female close protection officer to guard her as she tracks down the jewel and thieves; this would be standard as a woman can go to a ladies' room with her.

Everyone is after the ruby and some miscreants are more vicious than others. This leads to a merry romp around Paris (the research must have been hell) and into bondage and dominance clubs for reasons I'll leave you to explore. There are also several obligatory and lengthy bedroom scenes even though our heroine is not in the habit of seeing boyfriends. We can admire the heroine's tenacity if not perhaps her dedication as she seems obsessed with spending time in the gym or in bed rather than making the most use of the short time before she's deemed to have skipped bail.

Dislikes include some terms such as 'his tongue plundered her mouth' and editing issues like a stolen jewel being found 'in a secret Nazi horde' which I wouldn't mention about a self-published book. Overall this tries to be both a thriller and an erotic romance and could do with improvement on the thriller end but has plenty of sex and shopping if that is what interests you. The book is a collaboration between two female Irish authors. Go, girls!

Nope. Just. No.

I mean, if the acknowledgements are anything to go by, the book has two (or more) authors under one name, which would explain the inconsistencies in writing styles and even occasionally character traits. The timeline would also need work. It was utterly confusing at points but I suppose they just had to make time for all the sex that was had at each turn...

The BDSM sex scenes made me just mostly giggle which is better than awkward cringing, I suppose. The second star was bc the plot was actually pretty interesting in all its ridiculousness.

The completely and utterly outrageous scene where the make protag goes clothes shopping without the female protag without her size or measurements and still manages to buy her several fitting bras was ludicrous. I mean, either it was written by a man or it's some deep deep female fantasy stuff.

All in all I wanted to know what would happen to the characters in the end though was totally disappointed that the female protag (spoilers) had to give up a career she loved and was good at. One of the careers. Still. Why can't a woman have two things she succeeds at? If this was female fantasy, I'd have given her both. Also, she seemed to have no real reaction to the loss of career though she was very worried about it at first.

I won't even whine about the tropes I hate (physical appearance and double standards in the grooming of women and men) bc, well, one page in and I was already forewarned. Just saying that it's annoying to have to turn off most of my brain to enjoy a book.

This is the third book in the Pleasures series by Evie Hunter. I did not read the other books but didn’t feel like I was at a disadvantage because the author did a great job filling in the blanks while making you interested in reading the other books anyway. This book is about Museum Curator Sinead O’Sullivan who previously put herself through college by being the much sought after burlesque dancer Lottie LeBlanc. Things go awry when Sinead is caught on the museum’s security camera stealing a $50 million jewel. Lucky for her, she has a rich uncle who posted her bail as well as assigning security expert Niall Moore to look after her until trial.

The major plot twist comes when Sinead immediately figures out who framed her and insists on clearing her name with or without Niall’s help. To make this even more of a challenge, Sinead and Niall have a very strong animal attraction that intensifies as things start to point toward certain Dominant and Submissive tendencies, if you no what I mean. There aren’t many words to describe what happens when the two of them get down and dirty. It’s nothing short of X-rated in all the right ways. They literally scorch the pages. Their escapades are epic and worthy of several cold showers. In addition, the non-bedroom action was also very entertaining. I was very interested in finding out who really stole the jewel and more about Sinead’s messed up childhood. Niall had some exciting fight scenes and his character turned out to be very noble once Sinead got past his black ops hardened exterior.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect balance of erotica and adventure. The BDSM was on full display but it was done in a fairly tasteful manner that made it a little less taboo.. Sinead’s character was well written and also unexpected. The writing had a lot of depth and I felt like we really got to know a lot about the main characters and their emotional journeys. I would be interested in reading the other books in the series.

My rating: 5 of 5 ⭐️

Museum curator, Sinead O'Sullivan has to hide her more playful persona during the day, under shapeless clothes and a colourless appearance, to better suit her newly secured position at the prestige outs Rheinbach Museum in Geneva. She misses leaving her burlesque dancing alter ego, Lottie, behind, but can't risk being found out and perhaps losing her new job. But when the Fire of Autumn, a priceless ruby on loan to the museum and under her care, is stolen, it looks like she may not have a job to concern herself with after all. Somehow she is being charged with its theft!

Hired by both the museum and Sinead's uncle who posted her bail, investigator Niall Moore is to make sure Sinead doesn't take off to parts unknown and to recover the priceless stone. Her uncle may be convinced of Sinead's innocence, but the police and security at the museum have ample evidence to indicate otherwise and Niall can't deny the proof in front of him. Regardless of the confusingly aroused state the buttoned up little curator has him in. He can tell she is holding something back.

This isn't the first time Sinead has encountered Niall, but he doesn't know it and if it's up to Sinead, he won't find out. She has a suspicion who might be behind the theft at the museum, but has absolutely no evidence and nothing she says or does to try and convince Niall has any effect. The only effect is that fuelled by mutual frustration the sexual tension between them is impossible to contain and Sinead's normally subdued little seductrice starts making appearances, while Niall's repressed Dom is fighting to reign her in.

Desperate to find answers, Sinead discovers rather forcefully, that they are not the only ones on a quest for the Fire of Autumn, nor is Niall alone in thinking she has the jewel. Niall's job has now become even more difficult, aside from keeping Sinead close and finding the stone, he has to keep her safe as well. While in the interim he is battling his ever conflicting feelings around the little thief. Time to pull in every resource he has, and that includes using every toy in his play-kit, to tease a confession out of Sinead.

But when the confession finally comes, it isn't one he was expecting and the realization that his fantasy and reality are one and the same takes the wind right out of his sails.....

YAY!! FAN-FUCKIN-TASTIC!!
As near perfection as I think a Suspense/Romance/Erotic/BDSM novel could EVER get!!! Kudos to Evie Hunter, who is able to give us a fantastic story for each of the afore-mentioned categories in its own right, all balanced perfectly in one complete book! Absolutely DELECTABLE!!!

Even the dialogue and the banter, with the hints of dry humour, slight sarcasm and irreverence are perfectly in place and make for an intelligent and 'smexy' read! (Finally I get to use that word.)
I picked up the book and never put it down......laughing out loud in places, and squirming in my seat in others.

Sensuality dripping off the pages in the first chapter already..... And then we meet Sinead and the contrast she presents. Love her, messed up as she might be, I love that she has found a way to express this other side of her in a way that worked for her, at least for a while. How lucky she is to have found someone like Niall who can appreciate all those parts of her, even the irreverent ones!!
Niall.....cripes.....One here, please!!! That Dom side of him is scrumptious, dunno what else to say. All capable, all alpha, a sense of humor, a bit of baggage (maybe a backpack full), and a delightfully playful side that he can bring into the sandbox with me any day!! He definitely needs to work on his trust issues, but I guess in his line of work suspicion is almost expected. Good that he needed to work for his girl a bit though, it's not good for hot Doms to always have things fall in their laps.....a little ego check is a healthy thing.

Evie's writing is so easy to take in, not too descriptive or drawn out, just enough to give us context and presented in an every day language for which we don't need a thesaurus!! Her cast of characters was very colourful and entertaining although the focus remains mostly on Niall and Sinead. A pleasure to read.

I would venture to say that if you are interested in any one of the genres that I mentioned above, you will find what you like in THE PLEASURES OF AUTUMN.

✨A succulent, taunting and combustible thrillride!✨

I received my copy from the publisher through Nudge.

The books in this series are, for lack of a better word, great fun. Evie Hunter - a partnership of two Irish authors - has managed to find the perfect balance between suspense and sexy. What’s even better the author manages to integrate these two aspects of the story in a very satisfactory and unputdownable manner.

In this, the third ‘Pleasures’, title we meet Sinead who has been leading a double life to finance her way through college. When she’s offered a job in a museum in Zurich she abandons her alter ego - Lottie, a burlesque dancer - and embraces the more serious life she’s worked so hard to achieve. Sinead has only been working in the museum for a short while when a precious ruby is stolen and she is the main and only suspect. Security camera footage clearly shows her stealing the ‘Fire of Autumn’ and leaving the museum with it. With proof as obvious as this, nobody is likely to believe Sinead’s claims that she is innocent.
Enter Niall Moore, owner of Moore Enterprises, a security firm. Initially he is hired by the Zurich museum to recover the stolen ruby which seems easy enough since the thief and her whereabouts are known. Things get more complicated when Sinead’s uncle, Tim O’Sullivan, also hires Niall to keep an eye on his niece and help her. The situation becomes near impossible when Niall meets Sinead and discovers there is an instant attraction between himself and the museum curator who may appear to be boring and plain but soon discloses her adventurous side as well as her well hidden beauty.

What follows in an adventure in which Sinead is so desperate to hang on to the secret of her double life that other things she tells Niall are pushed aside as lies as well. These two characters shouldn’t be getting on at all but find themselves unable to keep their hands off each other. Add to that an American operative known for his cruelty and violence and you find yourself reading a book that doesn’t contain a single boring moment.

Did I mention that this book is sexy? Trust me it is. Niall is a Dominant who has long ago resigned himself to the fact that he won’t ever find a woman who could put up with his demands.

“He wanted an equal, and had never found one. Until now. Until Sinead.”

While Sinead, despite her history as a burlesque dancer, has relatively little experience when it comes to men and sex. When these two characters get together it turns into an instant and very heated battle for power.

As far as I know there is one more ‘Pleasures’ title to come: The Pleasures of Spring, which is due to be released next April. I’ve got a feeling this title will feature Andy and I hope that we will also get to see more of Roisin. Regardless of whether or not that will be the case, I’ll be looking forward to reading the book when it comes out.

The Pleasures of Autumn. Evie Hunter.
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book Reviews
I loved the first of this series The Pleasures of Winter, and the follow up novella A touch of Winter. Somehow I missed the Summer versions ( so many books, so little time...) so was really pleased to get a request from authors to review The Pleasures of Autumn. When I’ve time (and cash) I'll catch up on the Summer versions...
Anyway -Autumn. Its a huge Ruby, the Fire of Autumn, and is worth an eye watering sum and on loan to the Geneva Museum where Siobhan is curator. She's worked hard to put herself through the educational program needed for this type of work, and through her talent for antiquities and jewels has landed this prestigious job. Then – horror – she's on tape as having stolen the jewel. She knows it isn't her, knows who it must be but can she convince anyone she's telling the truth? It looks like she's the only person up for the crime so she needs to find the real thief and get the jewel back quickly.
Along the way she is accompanied by Niall, drop dead, gorgeous, security expert and source material for some of her best fantasies...he's been hired to ensure she meets bail, and to recover the jewel. There's a simmering attraction between them, and they embark on a steamy, sensual erotic journey on the trail for the jewel. Niall wants to believe her when she says she's innocent and why – and then again – he knows she's hiding something from him, so is she trying to pull the wool over his eyes over this? There's a eye watering, nail biting, journey across countries to trace the jewel, and along the way they encounter dangerous criminals who also want the jewel- and don't care who they harm in the process. There's also the erotic BDSM clubs and parties they get involved in – nothing too heavy, but some tantalising and sensual scenes here. There's secrets and lies, truth and heartbreak, some fabulous characters, and scenes to laugh at as well as to cry...
Its a great suspense novel, wrapped up in a steamy, erotic romance. A book to read and re read, its got such a lot of detail that its easy to miss parts on first reading. I look forward to A Touch of Autumn ( I hope – if the authors follow the other formats) and anything else the authors write. If you like romance and sex, but with a good well written action plot this book is for you. I need the plot – page after page after page of just sex doesn’t do it for me, I need a solid backing story to carry the scenes, and here we have it. Its priced at £3.99 for a massive (hurrah!) 448 pages.

Stars: five – great read.

Pleasures of Autumn is definitely my favourite of the Pleasures series to date. Dynamic duo making up team Evie Hunter is hitting their stride. This latest in the Pleasures series showcases both their writing maturity as well as their ability to crank up the heat.

Sinead O'Sullivan is the female lead. She is a shy exhibitionist. How is this possible? She's demure in her public life. In her private life, she dances burlesque behind a mask. Immediately I'm attracted to this character because of her complexities and her dancing. As a fan of burlesque, reading about a woman paying her schooling through dancing is very enjoyable. It's nice to see how a woman can both be quiet at times and very sassy in others. Ms. Hunter definitely knows how to create great female characters. Niall Moore is the male lead who is sexy, dominant and in way over his head. He's never dealt with a woman like Sinead. She definitely keeps him on his toes. It's amusing witnessing a controlling dominant with carefully laid plans thrown off kilter.

This story is well written which invokes emotions in the reader. This helps make the book better because it causes the reader to feel more engaged. Specifically, the frustrations of Sinead as she tries to prove her innocence is what pulls me in. In addition, the roleplaying of a Domme to find answers she needs is very amusing. The most amusing part is forcing Niall to submit as a submissive in order to gather intel. This is hilarious because as most people have experienced, alpha male dominants do not submit gracefully. It's a nice twist. The payback Niall deals Sinead is smoking hawt.

The BDSM in this story is enjoyable. Is it realistic for the common populace? Probably not. Still, from a rich fantasy point of view, it's most likely probable. I just don't happen to run in those circles. The whipping scenes in this story are decently researched which made me very happy. The tidbit of professional dominatrix with pet play incorporated is also realistic. This book definitely upped the kink factor. Hopefully if there is another in this series, the kinkiness will only increase. Perhaps the authors will explore D/s more deeply. Overall, this is a great read and highly recommended as BDSM Gateway book.

Museum curator Sinead O'Sullivan, a girl with secrets, finds herself accused of stealing a priceless jewel from the very museum she works at. Her fingerprints are everywhere, an eyewitness puts her at the scene, and the damning CCTV evidence does not lie...and yet she is defiant, she did NOT steal the jewel.
Private investigator Niall Moore is hired by both the museum to retrieve the jewel from Sinead, and by Sinead's uncle to prove her innocence.
Neither trusts the other, and with good reason, and yet they find the sexual chemistry between them impossible to ignore...

Those 'in the know' know that I have been on a painstaking quest to find well written erotica following the 'boom' of the genre over the last couple of years. This is the first in the 'Pleasures' series that I have read (It works fine as a stand-alone though), and boy could I have saved myself the torture of reading some right drivvle during my quest - if only I'd have found these sooner!

Ok so the lead characters do jump into bed ridiculously quickly - well in my world anyway (what am I doing wrong?!!) But then that can be forgiven because, well, quite frankly what do you expect from erotica?!
There is a bit of BDSM in there, but not in a scary 'red room of pain' kind of way; but more of a not-my-thing-but-still-kinda-hot sort of way. And its quite refreshing that the Dom is not a complete arse, and the Sub isn't a pathetic mess - both are strong, intelligent, likable characters - and you find yourself really caring about what happens to them.

And the bonus prize goes to... the author for actually including -would you believe it?- a STORY! And not a bad one at that - a good plot, mystery, suspense, action, romance...and erotic scenes that are not there for their own sake but that actually do contribute to your understanding of the characters' relationship.

And so I am thankful that my quest has been fulfilled - erotica can be well written - no more glorified porn for me! I'd recently decided that maybe I was being too harsh, and that maybe I'm just not a fan of the genre after all. However, although I think the erotica will be put way down the bottom of the reading list from now on.... I may just be able to make time for a few more from the 'Pleasures' series...

My thanks to the author and Penguin Books for providing this book for review

My Review:

Overall, this was an entertaining and interesting read. Sinead is a stuffy, staid fine arts museum curator by day, but by night, she has a deep secret. She's a famous burlesque dancer, Lottie.

Niall has seen Lottie perform many times and is a bit of an obsessed fan. I liked the fact that he knew Sinead as Lottie, but that also was a negative to me as a reader. If he'd only seen her perform once, I could probably have dismissed him not catching on with who she is, but he saw her perform many times and throughout the book, Sinead lets Lottie bleed through more and more. I just can't believe he never saw it, especially since he was supposed to be such a crack-shot investigator. But that aside, I did enjoy that aspect of her character. It's like she's two completely different people. Through Lottie, she lets herself get wild and brave and I loved that.

But it's her day job that gets her into trouble. As curator for the museum, Sinead handles lots of priceless items, one just happens to be an invaluable ruby...the Fire of Autumn. It's disappeared and all the evidence including video proves that the thief is most definitely her. BUT she didn't do it. As the child of a gypsy, Sinead was left alone at age 4. Her grandmother and uncle stepped in to care for her and although she swore to them that she had a twin sister, they never believed her. Sinead believes it has to be her twin who perpetrated the theft, but she hasn't seen her since she was 4, she has no idea how to find her.

This is a book that travels all over Europe and into some of the swanky but risque clubs and dinner parties of the rich and famous. It turns out the twin sisters are more alike than expected. Sinead's twin is a famous Domme, called Little Red. So she sets off to find her and spends a lot of the time impersonating her. It made for a fun, suspense filled read.

I will admit there were flaws in the story line and little details that were simply unbelievable. But overall, I could overlook those since I enjoyed the adventure of reading the book. It's a high-action read with lots of twists and turns and a good deal of smexy fun in between.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Firstly I’d like to thank the publisher for sending me this book to read and give an honest review. I am a big fan of The Pleasures series so I couldn’t wait to get started on this one! You can read my reviews of the previous books on my blog.

The prologue gave me a clear insight into Sinead’s character, I felt as though I knew her well after just a few pages. Niall had appeared in The Pleasures of Summer so I was looking forward to finding out more about him. To begin with I was surprised by how quickly things happened between them but I soon discovered that it wasn’t going to be all smooth sailing and what followed had me on the edge of my seat. Sinead’s secret was an interesting one and I couldn’t wait to see what reaction she would get when she revealed all.

The whole criminal cat and mouse chase completely reeled me in, I felt that there was the perfect mix of dangerous and sexual scenes – there certainly wasn’t time to get bored with the non-stop action involved in this book!

I loved the strong connection between the characters, this made them feel real and likeable to me. I was left with a few questions about a couple of the characters so I’m hoping they might feature in the next book. The lovely epilogue finished the book with a rather romantic conclusion which I really enjoyed.

These authors have once again managed to inject a special brand of magic into their writing which captivates me as a reader entirely.

This was a sizzling, exciting read that held my attention throughout.

3 Stars- I liked but I didn't love it. I read Pleasures of Winter and really liked that story so I had high hopes for this one.

It dragged (no pun intended) somewhat for me especially in the beginning. And it was a little far fetched- I mean, you are a Gem Specialist who works as a curator in museum in Geneva and you used to moonlight as a burlesque dancer named Lottie, and you also have an identical twin sister who happens to set you up for the crime but no one and I mean no one believes you have a twin sister including your family, but you finally find her and she is a dominatrix in BDSM clubs in Europe. Add on top of that you are insecure and hide behind big clothing but yet you used to strip???

Anyways- Niall is the hottie alpha male who is paid to help find the Ruby that is stolen from the museum and is also hired by Sinead/Lottie's uncle to keep her from jumping bail. In the meantime, we learn that Niall has always had the hots for Lottie and has no idea that Sinead and Lottie are one in the same. Sinead tries to hide her secret from him throughout the book, even when they end up in situations that are way more extreme than learning you used to do burlesque. Add in some kidnapping, a rogue agent out to get the stone first, the evasive sister, some kinky BDSM, some globe trotting and you have Pleasures of Autumn.

The combination of eroticism and romance with suspense, action and some fabulous humour makes this book a superb read. Whilst in keeping with the previous 'Pleasures' books in terms of the BDSM aspect, it's also uniquely different as Niall has a completely different dominant nature in comparison to Jack or Flynn. Both featuring as secondary characters in The Pleasures of Summer, Niall and Sinead surprised me hugely. Niall can be a contradiction of himself; tough yet gentle, demanding yet patient and dominant yet uncontrolling. Sinead may appear shy and studious but underneath is a quietly feisty and strong-willed lady. She's not a natural submissive but if ever there was the perfect Dom, Niall is it and this is what makes a superb journey of discovery, sensuality, power, trust and somewhere, lurking in the depths, love.

They are a wonderful couple who you can't not fall in love with and as my favourite of the series so far, The Pleasures of Autumn is a book I highly recommend.

I was given this book for review purposes and LOVED it.

Received this book as part of a Good Reads First Reads.
Sinead is a museum curator - until she gets accused of stealing a precious gem. She denies all charges - but the camera doesn't lie. There is CCTV footage.............or IS there?
Niall is hired as a personal bodyguard to make sure Sinead doesn't do a disappearing act after being charged with the theft - but he falls for the fiery red head and things take a very different turn. From sexy encounters to full on danger this book keeps you enthralled and engaged from start to finish.
And OMG - steamy or what ! - the antics between Niall and Sinead keep you wanting to read more to find out what else happens between them.
I'd say I'm going to look out for the author's other books and see if they are all as good as this one - a definate thumbs up from me :)

I became quite a fan of both authors. And each book were surprisingly adventurous and different but still connected. this one more than the first since it was about the cousin, Sinead, and Niall, the boss. Both were mentioned and also part of the last book. it was great to be able to put them together.
And in this one, I didn't get to read about one secret but for more.
Also the fact how Niall couldn't control himself and to be drown to her each time and deeper.
But something confused me because so of the scenes were already mentioned. just became double. so I thought I went back in previous chapter.

I received a copy of this book through First Reads.
I don't normally read books in this genre (tried the Fifty Shades books and gave up partway through the first book), but this one had enough story and character development that it held its own. A good read, particularly for fans of the genre looking for a little more story.

Who needs Fifty Shades of Grey when you've got Evie Hunter writing up a steamy storm! This novel has got all that I love: rubies, a touch of Irish and Paris and a dollop or three of man for my sugar fix. The only thing is that it's left me wanting to go out and get the other two books! Hoping there'll be more books out soon by this author :)

Love it so much! Couldn't put it down! Sinead and Niall are perfect for each other and I love the way they play with each other. I liked the previous two books but I think this one is the best!!! Love the story and the charcters.

I loved this story of Sinead and Niall. Their had a connection from the first time their eyes meet. The way that Sinead had two sides to her was good to. Lottie get alter ego with her feisty and flirty self. Hope that Evie Hunter writes another book hopefully about Andy and Roisin.

A great story with two wonderful main characters. The mystery adds quite a bit to the sexual aspect. I enjoyed this book immensely. Thanks to Goodreads First Reads contest for picking me!

My one gripe about this book is Niall Moore. I can ignore Sinead’s rash stupidity because she was desperate; I can even understand the last-minute heartbreak because she held that secret out of fear, and Niall thought the air was clear. But there is one scene, though hot, that I just did not like after it happened. Niall is so insistent on getting the truth from Sinead (even though he is asking the wrong questions) that he uses pleasure as a weapon of sorts, and even though they both enjoyed it, it just left me feeling unsure of him. I liked him before that, and I grew to like him again towards the end. Still, I just did not like the way that situation was handled or the fact that if he just trusted her word, maybe she would not have acted so rashly and he would not have almost convinced himself that she was lying to him all of the time. Evie Hunter, the miscommunication will be the death of me with this series; therefore, I am rating this book Four out of Five Stars. I did struggle to rate this one but ultimately it was the growth of Sinead and the ending that allowed The Pleasures of Autumn to keep its fourth star.

As with every book in this series, I would recommend The Pleasures of Autumn to an adult audience, as this book takes you deeper into the world of BDSM. I would recommend it to those that love HEA’s, ever-increasing spice, a delicious fight for dominance, danger and/or tension everywhere you turn, funny quips, dares that push the envelope, and equally matched main characters. Sinead and Niall were equals in strength of mind, courage, and physical strength to different degrees, and it was a joy watching them both lose their precious control. I look forward to reading about the far too-charming Andy McTavish in the next installment.

Am not good with writing reviews, but I did enjoy this book so I just wanted to share my thoughts, oh lawrd the beginning an and middle was amazing, the sexual tension made the hairs stick up on my neck. The possessiveness was written so much better than any other book would of put it, I did like the ups and downs, the bickering and arguing seemed written well for both parties views, however I do think at the end everything was a bit rushed, it was a bit disappointing but it was still a great read I’d recommend, I just wish the hunt was for just a tiny bit longer yunno? Even so the suspense was impeccable 7.5/10
