Sometimes, time is running out. Sometimes, it isn't running at all.
When Lex Alexander called upon his mad engineer friend for help creating a racing simulator, he expected to break a few track records. Instead, he broke time. To get the clock ticking again, he will need to travel to other timelines and alternate realities to pick up the lost pieces of his own world. Will he survive clashes with alternate versions of friends and foes? Or has time run out... literally.
Quantum Shift is the seventh book in the acclaimed Big Sigma series.
The only race Lex can’t afford to is the race against time.
Fairly good, but this series is getting rather repetitive. I really think Joseph needs to go off on a different tangent with this story line. Lex really doesn't need to be saving every universe in existence in every story, surely there's something else he'd rather be doing?
I like the crazy Karter stuff with lots of Ma, just not saving the universes every time Lex gets in a space ship.
Another amazing book to, hopefully not, end the series.
J.R. Lallow has once again delivered an amazing story that has everything the previous books have and pulls them all together and gifts them to his readers. This is the best book of the series and I hope it isn’t the last. If this is your first time reading a Big Sigma book, I highly recommend you go back to book one and start from the beginning. Joseph Lallo is possibly the best sci-if author alive!
While the technology required to make the story happen is a bit convoluted, the effects are undeniably worth the mental gymnastics. Wow. What a book. A fun, action packed, character piece that is absolutely worth the price tag. If you enjoyed the first 6 books you'll simply adore this one.
I’m not confused about the nature of this series. I simply love it. The wild characters, each distinct to me, the improbable impossible scenarios, the unanticipated twists are exactly what I need sometimes! I’ve read the entire series and will likely read the next one and the one after that…
I read this book first because it was free from Smashwords. Aside from some references to previous books that didn’t need a whole lot of context, it was basically a stand-alone story. There was a lot of word salad about how technology and quantum travel worked that I mostly glossed over, but the story itself was really enjoyable. I’ve now got the first book and plan to read it.
Lallo is one of the best and under appreciated writers I have come across in a long time. It's hard to write science fiction like this that feels real, that doesn't border on just magic. Lallo does that seemingly effortlessly.
Always looking for unique sci-fi I know I can count on Lallo to deliver and enjoyable read where Lex, Karter, Sqee, Ma and the others in this cast are involved
I enjoyed the previous 6 books, but this one was a bit too much and a bit too little. Saving three universes and the entire multiverse in one book simply did not allow any character development and the storyline became hurried. Stick with one mainline story and it doesn't have to be saving the entire universe every time.
This book was amazing! The story was quite convincing, if rather convoluted at times, but that's one of the things that made it such an amazing story. I enjoy all the Big Sigma books, and I'm hoping for another one after this.
