I am not usually for dystopian, rebuilding after a disaster type of books but this one might convert me. It was defiantly hard to put down and you connect with all the main characters (yes more that 2) in such a quick way.
After a silent deadly disease rips through the world and the survivors are left to pick up the pieces. Some called Pure Bloods have special powers that cause them to be hunted down.
Elyanna and her men must survive this harsh world bent on hunting them down. They take a stance on the man hunting them who also caused the death of Elyanna's sister before the book started.
It is a great book and hard to put down.

I love reading about determined people in a post-apocalyptic world because the stars know if it happened to me i wouldn’t bother. I like that the setting is more recent and the mcs are a bit older and had a life before everything happened - it’s rare to see them have been married before and i really appreciate that. Weirdly enough, i was so intrigued by the setting that i was hoping for less smut & more story. The storyline is incredibly compelling and i had a bunch of crackhead theories, but Genavie kind of lost me with the pacing in the end. I’m very curious to see what Unchained brings!

This was a super strong start to this duet! I really loved seeing the evolving nature of the relationship that Elyanna had with all the guys and how they were coming together to harness their powers for the good, and uncovering all the underlying secrets that BHF is trying to hide.
The plot I think was paced really well. Even though it was dystopian, it had a lot of elements of modern day society, which made the world building not as complex and I felt like I grasped everything well. And just everything that happened with Elyanna wanting to avenge her sister's death, to exploring and learning more about her powers, as as growing her relationship with all the guys, was a huge selling point of the book for me. The chemistry that Elyanna has with all of them was especially clear. But, what is love without heartbreak. No spoilers, but OMG THIS ENDING. What a cliffhanger to end on. My heart utterly BREAKS for these characters and I want BHF burned *insert Elmo burning emoji here*
For lovers of K.A. Riley's Conspiracy Chronicles that want a spicy version, I would highly recommend this book!

I must admit, it took me a little while to fully immerse myself in this story. The prologue serves as an invaluable resource, meticulously laying out the intricate details of the world's workings and providing a comprehensive account of the events that transpired at the onset of the plague. It really sets the scene well.
Certain parts of this narrative are profoundly heartbreaking, while others are infuriatingly maddening. Elyanna is initially portrayed as a tough and determined female who will fight to see those who caused the death of so many, but it doesn't take long for that initial fire to dwindle and her spirit to wane. This book was a tough one to rate. On the one hand, there were some things that usually bug me in a story. On the other hand, for some reason it was quite easy to put those things aside because I was intrigued by the storyline and the world this story is set in. So I decided to stick with 4.5 stars, because the author managed to grab my interest from the start, and never let it go.
“Chained” is a contemporary dystopian why choose book, with a touch of paranormal involved. I like the “David versus Goliath” vibe we get throughout this first book, and how much action and suspense is involved. There aren’t many moments of peace for the main characters, although they know how to grab the moment for some one on one time… One of the things I’m not sure how to feel about, is the relationship building. The whole fast-burn and insta-love vibe doesn’t make a lot of sense, but while that’s usually a bad thing for me, it didn’t take away my enjoyment while reading the story this time. And it definitely provides lots of spicy times.
There are some fascinating twists and turns involved in “Chained”, and I’m curious to find out what the second book will bring after the ending of this one…

Chained was an absolutely epic dystopian post apocalyptic why choose romance. It was simply stellar! Genavie Castle seemed to reach all the way in way back past of 2020 and zero in to the heart of the issues plaguing our country at that time. Please don’t think I am poking fun. I am not. I just know a lot of people won’t see the similarities that I did. And that may not have been what the author intended at all. It’s just how my mind processed it.
Anyway, Elyanna, a gifted individual, is on a quest to find the person or people responsible for her sister’s death. On her way, she is captured by three gifted men in a rebel group. Soon they realize that they are fighting for the same side and join forces to battle the BHF.
Her relationships grow with all three men but what is a great book without drama and heartbreak? There is sooooo much drama and heartbreak here. I will admit to shedding a few tears. I am so glad I already have the second book in this duet, otherwise I would have thrown my kindle across the room at that ending!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a fantasy romance. Why choose multiple POVs
Elyanna "El" was a mind-bender, and Hudson "Hawk," a telekinetic, captured her and chained her up til El gave him answers. El is so feisty, and Hudson loves to get her goin. Every gifted person was hiding from the BHF, and Hudson made some community of soldiers to help fight the BHF. There was a plaque outbreak, and now the gifted Pure Bloods and the originals are fighting for their freedom. El wants to take down the BHF for the loss of her sister, and her 3 men, Hudson, Axel "Ax" he can see some past and future, and Xavier "Ghost" "Xavi" he can go invisible for a short period they all are ready for revenge. But when El got kidnapped and away from her men, she went on a solo mission to take down the BHF, but her men are lookin for her to help. There are lots of action and uses of gifted powers. Their is a heartbreaking twist at the end. This was a good book and an emotional ride towards the end. I can't wait to read book 2.

I was not expecting the emotions! This book was fantastic! I loved the dystopian setting and premise behind it. Such a heart-wrenching story!
After much of the population perished, there are a select few humans who have gifts/powers who are highly sought after. Elyanna meets up with some of them and forms a bond with a few of the men. Hudson, the leader; Xavier, the fun and energetic one; and Axel, the big shy teddy bear. El is on a mission to avenge her family but discovers a new family to be with. Sure there are some major hurdles to get through, but the growth of all the relationships she has is wonderful.
This book has so much action, emotion, and twists that it will keep you on the edge of your seat. It has hurt me in ways that I love and I am not over that ending! Can’t wait for book 2!

I loved this book so much and I can't wait to start the second one. Elyanna is a pure blood gifted mind bender and is a very strong and independent women. When she gets kidnapped by Hudson and locked up in his flat she tries her hardest to escape but end up falling for him and his best friends Axel and Xavi. They join together in fighting back against the BHF who has taken over the world since a plague wiped alot of people out years ago. This was such an amazing read and I was hooked and couldn't put it down, the spice is very hot and there is a twist at the end that will destroy you emotionally. This is a why choose , found family , supernatural romance with a strong fmc and her possessive men. Bring on book two.

Interesting storyline and the writing is good, but I personally just couldn’t get into this book. I think I’m maybe not a fan of the post-apocalyptic genre. I enjoyed the why choose/reverse harem element and absolutly adored the three MMC in this book. The suspense and action in this book is great. I just couldn’t get past the whole chained up and then dependent on the chain in such a short time part. Elyanna started off as such a badass, but then it’s like she turns into the opposite of that. There is a heartbreaking twist at the end so be prepared if that’s not your thing. Some spicy scenes, but the group scene is fade to black/off page.

I have a love-hate relationship with why choose because I LOVE the jerry springer drama relationships, but this one was such a sweet why choose situation that I warmed up to it in the end.🖤
There’s action, grief, corrupt governmental agencies, love, friendship, and a little bit of spice. This book has is all! I would recommend to my sweet, end of the world, romance readers! 🌹

Chained is an intriguing and intense paranormal dystopian romance. The storyline is action packed, emotional and steamy. Elyanna started out fierce, strong willed and ready to take on the world. Once she was taken and chained by her men I felt like she was lost her edge and became dependent on the chain a little too quickly. Each of her men Hudson, Axel and Xavier each bring different dynamic to their relationship. The suspense is amazing and there is some really great banter throughout. The twist and turns kept me guessing all the way until the end. I can't wait to see what happens in the conclusion to this duet.

Chained a pure blood novel
Chained is an excellent read. I could not put it down. Captivating story with love, revenge, and turbulent motions. Elyanna is strong and determined to achieve her goals and extract revenge against those who hurt her sister. I adore her a good white shoes and the men did this story fit the bill. I enjoy forbidden love compounded with undeniable chemistry that adds layers of tension to the story chained is a fantastic dystopian, why choose romantic filled with action spice and page turning plot. There is some unexpected twists and turns and I look forward to seeing where this story goes.

Chained would have to be my first dystopian why choose novel! And YES, it ticks all the boxes!! Meet Elyanna, our strong FMC who is ready to burn down the BHF!! That is until she is captured by a rebel group of three men – Hudson, Xavier and Axel, who initially fear her powers, but end up falling for her and joining her battle.
A lot of action, spice and twists, with a nice cliffhanger to keep you desperate for the next book! Which is right around the corner as the The Pure Blood Duet.

A well written and enjoyable series

This story is about freedom vs autocratic rule. 90% of the population has died from a likely engineered plague, and now a power group controls everything. A few gifted pure bloods and rebels exist outside their rule and fight back. Twists and turns, and gains and losses, with a really heartbreaking loss… I couldn’t put this down and will be continuing this series.

El and Hawk Sigh
This book by Genavie Casle was a tension filled ride through a post plague era. Good gracious it was like seeing 2020-2022 all over again. At least we still have technology! All in all the author did a good job of story telling, just hated what happened during the last section of the book. Also hated the cliff hanger but I know El and Hawk story ended and the story will begin with different characters but the same evil of BHF

After a man-made plague wipes out the majority of the population, El’s sister is included. El makes it her mission to get revenge on her sister's death. On her travels she runs into the guys who end up kidnapping her. They all fall hard and fast for each other. I love the FMCs strength and determination. The suspense was amazing and action packed. It was heartbreaking at times and made me laugh at others. Looking forward to reading the next.

It was great to see the way all the relationships evolved & learned to focus the powers they had for the good! I really love the dystopian world that’s been built with a hint of a more modern day society.
From avenging a death, learning about their powers & the whole group growing (a little more romance would have been great) I loved it all. Ending on a cliffhanger was cruel but so wonderful!!!

Why choose, but the group scene was fade to black 🫣Other than that, the story was good! I was incredibly heart broken over some events. I was very invested in the story. Overall I did enjoy it. It wasn’t perfect, but entertaining. I was just disappointed that it was why choose, but fade to black. That seems like an oxymoron to me 🤣

This book was really good. At first I wasn’’t sure but then things started to happen and I was hooked.
This was my first why choose and it got me hooked. I love how you get connected with all the main characters. There are some fascinating twist and turns and I can’t wait for what the second one holds.

I thought that this was such and interesting read. the apocalyptic view of the world fed into my fantasy. when I read any thing about a time when all of what is know is destroyed or altered I am always in for the long ride. I liked that this so much that the when I read the second book I know it is going to be amazing. 10/10 highly recommend! buy it now.

It was too quick of an insta-love for me. But the plot as definitely chefs kiss. A little too much smut due to the placement in the scene. But I highly recommend this book.

Oh man was this book intense. It was so very good though! I was literally on the edge of my seat panicking as I turned pages waiting to see what happened next. Now the spice was spicy as well. I loved the characters' connections and chemistry and feeling like family to each other.
