This is a first read of Sierra's for me. It was all the feels we need right now. It reminds us temptation is always around the corner...or next door.

Shy Elsie might be a huge homebody but she loves her place. It's colorful, cheerful, and has everything she could want....ok well almost everything. If this dang neighbor could keep his bike revving to a minimum that's be great. She can't help but sneak a peek everyday as he gets home, and works on his bike. She might even get a glance once in awhile going past her window.

Kane can't help but mess with the neighbor. He knows his bike work, and stomping boots up the stairs is driving her, but he can't help it. He even enjoys watching her sneak a peek at him everyday.

What he doesn't expect is for her to knock on his door one day asking for help...the dating king. This is where we fall in love with Kane and Elsie. Elsie is so shy its painful. Kane can't understand when she is just beautiful. He isn't afraid to bring her out of her shell kicking and screaming.

Elsie knows she needs help and she's heard enough through his walls to know he good at dating. She doesn't expect for him to make himself all comfortable in her home, and peruse her eclectic taste in reading material. She doesn't realize how much she comes to enjoy his visits.

I love how these two become friends and not just "deal and dealer". They both needed the yin and yang they offer. Its refreshing to watch a tough ol guy like Kane fall so hard to Elsie, even if he doesn't think anyone else can notice.

These two felt so real, so passionate, so determined to pick up life's bootstraps and enjoy the ride. It's sweet, heat, and passion all in one big go! So if you are looking for that bad boy/good girl vibe, or he falls first, or just wanna scorch the pages with passion......here ya go!

I really loved reading 'Hey, Neighbor' by Sierra Shipley. It was sweet, funny, engaging and very romantic. Elsie is a very shy woman with not a lot of self-confidence. She has become almost a recluse because she works from home and does not make an effort to date anymore. She has lost the confidence to be able to talk comfortably with men, but she has decided that it is time to make an effort to change that. She has watched her handsome neighbor next door. Kane has no trouble dating women and having a good time. So, Elsie gathers enough courage to go to Kane and ask him to help her come out of her comfort zone. Kane thinks Elsie is cute and he knows that she hides behind her blinds and watches him. He has even made more noise revving his motorcycle in hope that she will come to the window. He also knows that she is extremely shy, and he would like to see her open up more and trust herself, so he agrees to help her. He starts to spend time with her and discovers that he likes to hang out with her. The more he draws her out of her shell, the more he finds himself fascinated with her. He takes her out with his friends so she can learn to be comfortable around people and he surprises her by making her do things she has always wanted to do but never had the courage to do on her own. He finds that he loves her spirit and loves to see her blossoming under his attempts to bring out her confidence. But he is also surprised by how she seems to always be in his thoughts lately and he knows that she has come to trust him and has fun with him too. The characters in the story were a lot of fun and their interaction with each other were sweet and very entertaining. It was a fun read.

OMG - this was so cute! Well, as far as you can call a 6'-4" tatted up biker 'cute'!
Elsie is a shy curvy girl who keeps to herself, enjoying her romance novels and the company of her cat to actual people. Kane moved in next door a couple of years ago, with his loud motorcycle and heavy boots. Every day when he comes home, he can't help but clomp up the stairs just to tease Elsie. She hates how loud he is.
But when Elsie wants to meet people and start dating, she decides that Kane is the perfect guy to help her. Kane is taken aback, but he agrees.
He vetoes all of the potential matches on the dating app she's using, but he takes her out to the bar to help her interact with guys. He finds out just how painfully shy she really is. But they start hanging out, and he helps her open up. He gets closer to her then he expects, and when she starts going out on dates with other guys, it sends him into a bit of a tailspin.
Kane is not really sure what he's feeling, but he's feeling it all for Elsie. Can he convince her that he's the only one for her? Before it's too late?
Ooh! I love a big broody biker who's not as tough as he seems! You can just picture her giving him dirty looks out the window as he rolls up on his loud motorcycle, and him teasing her about her smutty romance books.
This is a terribly amusing and sweet enemies to lovers story!

Hey, Neighbor is a standalone contemporary novella by Sierra Shipley. Shipley is a new author to me but the blurb looked like a lot of fun and I figured I might as well give it a go.

The heroine of the story is Elsie, described as a shy and curvy girl, she is so severely introverted she is nearly agoraphobic. The hero is her neighbour in the same townhouse complex, Kane. Kane is rough and ready, he's a mechanic and much more extroverted. What starts as a friendship based upon the deal made by Elsie and Kane for him to help her get out into the dating world, ends in something both steamy with some deep emotions.

This was just a fun and charming story, a small town opposites attract that was just so satisfying to read.

Hey Neighbor was a sweet and steamy, frenemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract, curvy plus-size girl gets her biker. Elsie is a shy, socially awkward, and introverted curvy girl in her 30s. Kane is a hunky, inked, charming, playboy, biker. They are neighbors, and she low-key watches him while he tries to irritate her. She wants to date but is too nervous. She asks Kane to help her get out of her comfort zone. He agrees. They strike up a friendship and fall for each other, but Elsie is convinced he would never go for her. Can he show her that he's all in? They had great chemistry, and we got a happy ending after a little angst. I could totally relate to Elsie and her fears and insecurities and loved how Kane wanted to just show her how special she was. I loved it!!.

Biker breaks her out of her shell
Elise is a recluse and her neighbour Kane is a tatted biker who is disturbing her solitude with his bike and stomping up the stairs and bringing home a different girls. Elise is shy and non-confrontational so she dislikes him from a distance until one day she snaps and confronts him. Slowly they become friends and asks him to teach her to date and get out of her shell a bit. He never expected to fall for her no matter how attracted to her he is. I like both of these characters, especially Elise, even though she was shy and insecure she still stood up for herself. I get that insecure plus size FMC's who don't believe the MMC could be into them is over done but sometimes it just works. This worked.

This book is dubbed a hate to love romance novel but there's never really any hate. It's more a neighbors to lovers novella. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride, but not in a good way. The plot leads in many directions, none of which last long enough for you to grasp and enjoy.

This story feels rushed. It wants to make you feel something , but every time you try and get there you're thrown somewhere else and the cycle begins. The last 20 pages or so are about the best parts of the book. The storyline stay consistent, and gives you the feel good ending you desire within a romance.

This was an incredible book. I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop reading. It's the story of Elsie and Kane. These two characters make you fall in love with them. Elsie works from home and is a kind of introvert. While keeping an eye on her handsome neighbor. When she goes on a blind date her neighbor Zane witnesses her failed date. When Elsie asked Zane for help it ends up bringing them together. I just loved the extent Zane went out for her. I was excited for the ending. I recommend you read this book.

This quick read novella featured two opposites that would never have met had they not lived next door to each other. Kane is very outgoing with friends and very active with the ladies. Elsie is awkward in public situations and now that she works from home, she is nearly a recluse. As they work together to get Elsie out of her comfort zone, sparks fly and the outcome is not what either expected. The romance is sweet and you can't help but fall in love with Kane and Elsie.

They start as barely speaking neighbours, evolve to a grudging acquaintance with an understanding that slowly but surely develops into deep feelings.
Elsie grows beautifully and gains self confidence with the help and caring from Kane and his unique dating advice.
Sweet, emotional and steamy with two wonderful characters, some fun and adventure, a little angst and a beautiful HEA.

Loved this concept of the annoying neighbor you can’t stand, but really is such an eyeful as well. The characters were great in description and I enjoyed how they evolved over time, that this story took place over a couple months spans makes sense as this relationship develops more to what they made for in their original deal.

Elsie seeks out dating help from her hot biker next door neighbor. She's not his type so he sees no issues with helping her. However, she wears him down and he falls for her. Will she reciprocate? Great slow burn romance.

This is a fairly short and quick read about Elsie and Kane. They are neighbors and appear to be complete opposites. When she knocks on his door asking for help the dynamics change. I enjoyed this story and really like the characters.

This is the third book I've read written by Sierra Shipley; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

She has written a good stand-alone short story. The story is about Elsie & Kane; he’s her next door neighbor.

Don't be deceived by the cheesy cover

This was literal perfection in a novella. The writing is fantastic (no spelling errors or repeated phrases) and I Loved the characters and their dynamic. Can I order a Kane? Does anyone have that model number handy? I'll take 4. Thanks.

A sweet, flirty, steamy, blink of an eye romance. Shipley brings the heat with a sense of humor and an abundance of heart. Kane and Elsie are heartache at it's most delightful.
