"When a new dog comes to stay in Taser’s neighborhood, Taser learns the sad pooch has a problem that might be connected to Taser’s conundrum—a dead body that appears, then disappears. Taser sets out to solve both mysteries, but becomes part of the problem instead of the solution. Meatloaf would have helped his buddy, but he’s got his own problems acting out when master Robert disappears. No worry, the pack pitches in to help after the strange night of...Howling through Darkness."
This one was more adventure than mystery, and there was less humor than in the previous Taser and Meatloaf stories. The editing was much improved compared to the first three in this series, but it still had some mistakes--mostly omitted words and punctuation. Parts of this story were told in third person POV, Instead of all from Taser's POV like the previous stories. I think this approach took away some of the series' charm. Still a fun quick read for dog lovers.
This is a must read for fans of the Howl series. I absolutely love Taser and Meatloaf and the neighborhood pack. I see my own dogs in them all.
My only reason for 4 stars is the editing. I’ve come across quite a few missing words, screwy punctuation, and wrong character names from scenes shown earlier.
Mr. Brandon writes a GREAT series of books, but the editing can get annoying.
