~SKALS Book #2~
Revenge is a very personal thing…

After eliminating a hostile SKALS member turned rouge, Sebastian returns home to deal with the aftermath. He no longer trusts his security team, and to make matters worse, he’s got blood on his hands he can’t wash clean. Still, he is determined to try and put an end to the past and start a new life with Taylor.

Everything in him wants to be the man she needs him to be, but that decision won’t come easy. His family is in shambles, his director is breathing down his neck, and worse of all, Steven Laychee is circling, looking for a way to take down the man who killed his brother.

It’s not a matter of if Laychee will strike. It’s a question of when and who will remain standing in the end.

**DISCLAIMER** This is NOT your average romance. It's a dark, gritty, sometimes erotic psychological thriller with a heavy emphasis on plot. It also contains elements of dominance and discipline with dubious consent, psychological conditioning, and mental manipulation. There’s also gunfire and violence. If any of this offends you, this may not be the book for you. Intended for mature audiences only.

4.5 Stars!!!

Wow! This book was just it for me!!! I need the next one like right now!!! So the warning is there for a reason, I'm just going to highlight two things that are in this book, VIOLENCE and DUBIOUS CONSENT and that's all I'm gonna say about it.

So when I started book two I didn't know what to expect. My biggest questions were

1. Will Sebastian change?
2. Can he be a better person towards Taylor
3. Will I like him that way???
4. I can't say this one because it's a spoiler!

It started of really sweetly, Sebastian was being such a gentleman and Taylor was in heaven. And I was hypnotized by this new man, I was sure things were gonna change and this was great because everything seemed like it was falling into place. It made sense.

But then Taylor's uncle show's up and like the flip of a switch blade Sebastian is back. God I felt so bad for Taylor but what could she do??? She's trapped in a relationship with a man she loves.

Sebastian believes that everything he does is in Taylor's best interest. Nothing can change he's mind, at times he is remorseful but he will never admit this to Taylor.

You have to trust me. I will always protect you. I will always do what needs to be done.

Taylor and Sebastian are in danger, he's work has followed him into his personal life. He takes no chances and has Taylor under guard, at this point she's prisoner in a place she calls home, her every move monitored. Okay so I completely understood why Sebastian had her under such tight guard, he'd lost so much and losing Taylor would kill him.

Things are getting pretty heated at work and Sebastian's boss Marx is posing a threat to Sebastian's personal life. He's on edge, everyone is a threat and it doesn't take much for him to explode. He started getting even more controlling than before, the stuff he put Taylor through was heartbreaking at times, she was constantly walking on egg shells. But unfortunately when Sebastian wants to make a point nothing will stop him.

He shook he's head prowling after her. "I'm not interested in your excuses, Taylor. You need help focusing, and I'm going to give it to you. Now move."

Sebastian made me so angry, doesn't matter what Taylor would do. If he'd decided she'd done something he wasn't happy with, nothing would stop him from "correcting" her.

At one point he came home and found her on the found with a girlfriend and just exploded!!! Fcuk I had to put my ereader down and just take a breath!!! He'd done the sweetest thing the day before and he just ruined it all in one go!!! The expectations he had were just ridiculous, he deemed some things beneath her but expected her to do the most menial things. It drove me nuts!!! Yes he's possessive but most of he's behaviour stems from trying to protect Taylor, and that's what he's doing in his own sick and twisted way. He partly likes it when Taylor shows fear, but he goes crazy if she shies away from him. Even though he gives her every reason to.

"It seems your priorities around here are starting to slip. Don't worry, sweeetheart. I will get them back to where they need to be."

"You're scared." he repeated. He studied her for a long moment before nodding and gesturing to the end of the bed. "Quit dragging things out. Take your clothes off and bend over."

Yes he's behaviour made me want to punch him in the balls, but you see I'm still rooting for this guy. So I basically just wanted to cry. My internal dialogue was "Don't let me down Sebby, please just stop this craziness!!!

Things moved along quite swiftly and before you know it, shit connects with the fan!!! I seriously didn't see a way out for Sebastian and Taylor, and I was just a little bit disappointed in Sebastian. He should have known better, especially after his conversation with Marx. I saw this coming a mile away! The violence at this point shot through the roof, there was this particular scene that was just so graphic, I guess it just got to me because I have this fear of suffocating... That scene just fcked with my head!

I was so happy that they got out of that situation!!! Taylor sees a different side of Sebastian, he's a different man when he's helpless. I was actually glad in this case, Sebastian needed to be humbled even though he hated it.

"I hate that you saw me in that condition, Taylor. That man, that person is not who I am. I'm not weak."

It brought them closer together, I still have a lot of questions. And I feel like Marx is a huge threat, I just don't trust him. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next one!

***4 Sebastian-you-sicko stars***

Holy cow this one was a heavy one. The evil psycho, aka Sebastian, is still alive and kicking, beating on an innocent woman.

description

There is not much I can say. Sebastian was still being His Royal Evilness, and Taylor was still clinging to his thigh.
I really don't get Taylor. What Kool-Aid is she sipping on? I was hoping that in this book a lightbulb would go off in her head and she will get some kind of moment of clarity. I'm mean, she has to know that what he does to her is not alright. I get that she is a type of person that sees the good in a person first, but there must be a limit. The woman has zero self worth.
"You have your moments," she confessed. "But you can also be the sweetest, most adorable man on the face of the planet."
Say whaaa....t??? Who is this amazing man she is talking about?
She'd never felt worthy of Sebastian in the first place. He was handsome, yes, but there was so much more.
Again, say whaaa...t???
Sebastian tilted his head back with a lazy smile and ran his hands over the curve of her hips. "You are so good to me."
"It's nothing compared to what you do for me."
And one more, say whaaa...t???

I don't mind her being clueless, my disbelieve aside, her character was very well written. I don't see her as being a woman in love, I look at her as a victim, a girl with some serious family issues which drove into a hands of a monster. My biggest problem with her, and the main reason that I gave it 4 stars, was lack of informations about her family problems that made her the way she is. I felt that there was an important piece of information missing that could have explained her behavior. That could made me understand her better.

As for our dearest Sebastian. I still hate him, but I enjoy every minute of it :-).
description

His character is very well written. He is dark, twisted, intimidating and controlling son of a bitch.
As rediculous as it sounded, he'd known that day in the woods that Taylor was the one. The submission was written in her eyes. He could feel it rolling off her. Sebastian's mouth curved with the memory.

I found Sebastian fascinating. I do believe he loves her, in his own sick way, and that freaked the hell out of me. He enjoys watching Taylor tiptoeing around him, flinching every time he touches her. Sick, just sick.
He won't be going onto my book-boyfriend shelf any time soon, but I liked him for the evil that he was (What?).

There was one scene I didn't like. It wasn't that big of a deal, but still. The scene where Sebastian and his team got ambushed. It felt a little like a cheep trick that a lot of action movies use. The car doesn't explode from a bullet to a fuel tank :-) (thanks to Mythbusters for the info :-D).

Oh, and thanks for keeping your word and cutting back on giggles and chuckles, Adriana, much appreciated ;-). Sebastian was much more scarier half smiling or smirking, rather than constantly chuckling. He chucked a lot in the first book and that annoyed the hell out of me.

I'm off to wait for the next book. I wonder what Sebastian wanted to talk to Taylor about...

4.5 Holy Freaking Hell Stars

You have to trust me. I will always protect you. I will always do what needs to be done.

Controlling, abusive, addictive, protective, infuriating, sexy, dominating, repulsive, just SEBASTIAN.

description

The sexy beast and sick bastard is back, more in charge than ever or is he?? A threat and an elusive enemy will try to take him to his knees but that is Taylor's place...

description

Unable to shake the addiction that is Seb, the dark flavor and the danger, Taylor is still naive but no longer innocent. A willing victim with no escape (even if she doesn't wish it), she will suffer for crimes that others committed.

I could carry on forever about these books.... Mindblowing and brutal, I just can't stop reading!

description

I am probably conditioned and I hate myself for loving Sebby but what is a girl to do???

Can't write more... STARTING THE NEXT!!!!

Consider this your last WARNING

Another riveting installment in the SKALS series! This series is not for the faint of heart, or for someone expecting a flowery romance. This is dark, gritty, and raw; but somehow it has me in its grasp and won't let go. When Sebastian is with HIS Taylor and everything is going how he expects it to go, he has got to be the most endearing, loving, and intense man there is. He loves Taylor with an intensity that goes far beyond any regular Alpha males love for their woman.

"You are my anchor, Taylor. My heart, my haven- my home. None of this means anything without you. Life means nothing without you."....
"I will always love you and protect you with everything I have. You're my entire world. I could never imagine living without you. I want to start building the rest of my life around you. You make me want to do better, Taylor.."

But when Sebastian's mood is agitated, and Taylor has done something to challenge his authority...look out, his dark side emerges and it isn't pretty in any way. This man is cold, calculated and evil to his core. He is very frightening, and he crosses the line to deliver whatever abuse he deems necessary to correct Taylor's behaviour. He does this with no guilt, as he feels he is doing her a favor, and teaching her how to make sure she never makes the same mistake twice.

What has me boggled with this story, is the fact that Taylor puts up with this. Mind you, when everything is going well, Sebbie is a dream come true for her; but when it is bad, the terror that she has for the man that she loves does nothing but confuse her.

Sebastian is the most contradicting character that I have read about. I am very impressed how Adriana Noir is able to bring out my compassion for a character who is so hard and abusive. I feel I should hate him with all of my being; but instead I am able to understand why Sebastian is the way he is. I have my fingers crossed that as the series progresses, Seb will begin to develop more patience and gentleness. Even if he doesn't, I am caught in his web, and I'm hanging on for dear life!! I can't wait to dive into Book three, to see what is in store for this unconventional series that has me in its grasp!

LOVED it just as much the 2nd time around!!!

ANOTHER THRILLING RIDE!!!!!

Damn... Book 2 was just as amazing as book 1 ! I've got a new author to add to my top favorites list and Adriana Noir is it! She has created the perfect anti-hero.. the guy you love to hate at times, hate to love other times, and then just full out love. Arrrrhhhhhhh! I wanted to smack Seb around so bad sometimes. He's just... he's one of a kind. He's uber possessive and very controlling. He's a total wicked bad ass.. he's as tough as they come and he takes no shit and no prisoners. However... this time around we get to get a little deeper and see even more of the compassionate side of Seb this time around.. There's some serious bad dudes out there after him and his SKALS team but mainly Sebastian. The baddies will go after Seb anyway they can..even if it means going after his biggest weak spot.. which happens to be Taylor. Taylor has been a balm to Seb's soul.. she's everything to him. But as much as he loves her.. he's still very controlling and he takes "obey" to a whole other level. Like ... seriously another level. Dude is cray cray sometimes. I would literally get goosebumps when Taylor would do something that I just knew was going make him go all defcon 1 on her ass.

Yea.. he still scares the shit out of me.. but he's so freaking calm.. I imagine him when he gets pissed with these crazy shark eyes.. but of course he's really hot too.. so he's got sexy hot shark eyes. But Seb is the way he is because of the job he has to do. His life demands order and sometimes the really bad shit he has to go through bleeds over into his personal life. His strong demands that Taylor do exactly what he says and how he says it are for a reason.... his on crazy bad ass dude reasons.. but reasons none the less.

This one had a lot more suspense and action than the first one and a lot more suspense. I was dreading turning the pages of my Kindle at the very same time I couldn't turn them fast enough. I am waiting with baited breath for book 3....

ADRIANA.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET BOOK 3 OUT SUPER SUPER QUICK.. I NEED IT SO BADLY.. AND I'M GOING TO GO SO FAR AS TO GO AHEAD AND BEG YOU TO DO A 4TH ONE ALSO. I DON'T THINK I COULD EVER GET ENOUGH OF SEB,TAYLOR AND THE SKALS.

can't recommend this series enough... but remember.. this isn't a romance with unicorns and butterflies. There's deep passion and love but there's some serious grit.. when I say Seb is an anti-hero I mean it.. He really pushed my buttons sometimes with the way he treated Taylor and some of the things he did to her. But... damn I love that man. He's the shit.. seriously that man is IT.

Honestly, I'm still trying to organize my thoughts here. WOW, what a ride I have been on with this series. I think I should start with putting this disclaimer again, in case my first review wasn't read.

This book picks up right after
Sinister Kisses (SKALS, #1) by Adriana Noir . Literally, he comes home and climbs into bed after the night in the ending of book two. Of course he wouldn't be Sebby if he didn't do that in his controlling, stern voiced way. The situation with Todd in the first book is over, but unfortunately it seems it was a small situation compared to the situation he and Taylor are in now, because now Todd's brother, Laychee, wants revenge and he's not the only one in on the play. Between the thing with the guards, Laychee, Monique and Mia, Marx, not knowing who he can trust, and having to be away from Taylor so much, Sebastian is on edge. He knows none of it is Taylor's fault but he is having more of a hard time to turn off the switch between personal and work life.

"I know I'm not an easy man to love. I can be heartless and cruel, and my life is a virtual hurricane, but you are everything to me. You are my anchor, Taylor. My heart, my haven-my home. None of this means anything without you. Life means nothing without you."

Taylor tries with everything in her to please Sebastian. But sometimes it seems things just aren't enough. Each day when Sebastian comes home she never knows what his mood will be. She knows in her heart that she loves him, but struggles with what's right and what's not when it comes to her punishments. They can be so painful and during that time all she really wants to do is run...or beg for forgiveness and get back in Sebastian's good graces. She is constantly walking on eggshells. She honestly thinks she is the luckiest girl in the world. Just a short time ago she was living in a run down apartment barely making ends meet, but now living in Sebastian's huge house, wanting for nothing, with a sweet new ride and a hunky man in her bed. But every time she goes on and on about that, I keep wondering at what cost??

A tiny voice in the back of her mind protested, insisting it was wrong, possibly even warped to love someone who could hurt her and to crave him the way she did, but it was like a fever-a sickness with no cure. There was no escape. There never had been. Not with him. There was no way to resist Sebastian, no way to fight back or win. If she left, he would every resource he had to find her. All she could do was raise the flag of defeat and give in.

I'm in the same boat about Sebastian with this book. I still want to love him so much. In his POV's, he really does love Taylor. I think he is 100% sincere about that. I honestly think slowly but surely Taylor is bringing more and more of his softer side out. But he's bringing his job home way too much and Taylor is having to live with the consequences. The simplest things sit him off. He hates the way Taylor fears him, but honestly what else does he expect. There was one part I was so beyond pissed off at him I thought I was going to have to put my iPad down. I know deep down that Taylor fighting back would be detrimental to her health, but sometimes I was just wanting her, so bad, when given some stupid order, to look him in the eye and scream "Fuck You". She's just too submissive for her own good, so she deserves a smack too, hahaha. NO really, Sebastian would kill me if I smacked her and probably kill her if she yelled at him, but hey, it doesn't mean that last night when I was so pissed at him while reading that I didn't visualize those things along with a frying pan incident to make myself feel better. :D

This book, in my opinion, was even more intense than the first. The suspense was out of this world. OMG, I didn't finish until 2am, but there was no way I could stop. I was hooked. Sebastian, himself, was even more...haha, scary?? He can be so sweet at times, gentle and loving, but whoosh one thing can be said and instantly he's the complete opposite. He can be over the top with his rules and expectations, but by the end of the book, I felt like I was starting to see a slight change in him. I'm hopeful anyway. I still want him to have his happy ever after. I also still think Marx has to go. I think Sebastian would relax a little if he didn't have Marx's pressure hanging over his head. lol, me reading this...

I still highly recommend the series!! It's dark and twisted, and I freaking loved it. I think I see hints of Sebastian growing into a better man for Taylor. They are small hints, and mostly just his thoughts in his POV, but I think he has discovered a little part of his humanity, it takes a while, and the majority of the small hints are in the end, but I think he's trying, and as long as Taylor sticks with him, it could be worth it in the end. She has still got a long road ahead of her, and hopefully after what happened he's gentler with her, but with that said, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next series. I need to put in a shout out to Christine the Romance Junkie, she's been reading this series also and has talked me into stowing my frying pan once or twice and since she was ahead, warning me for when I needed to brace, lol. Thanks girl!! With that said, I NEED MORE NOW, even though Sebastian is a crazy whirlwind, I feel like my life will be dull and boring without him for a while, lol. Now, haha, I need a drink...

Sebastian was seriously ...

Too controlling and over the top dominant (not in a nice way)

I had trouble with the grounds of the relationship and felt Taylor needed to

and stop being so

"A tiny voice in the back of her mind protested, insisting it was wrong, possibly even warped to love someone who could hurt her and to crave him the way she did, but it was like a fever - a sickness with no cure."

Nothing about the relationship could be justified by the way Seb treated Taylor.

It left me feeling conflicted - which is in someways a good thing about a book. How can you like an anti-hero or an abusive guy. That was my dilema - I just couldn't bring myself to condone Sebs kind of "love".

"Those corrections are meant to protect you"

3 unsure stars.

Review by Kimmi
Well, just like the first book this one has also left me with a "What the hell was that?" look on my face. I am divided, one Kimmi is hollering "Hell yes! Holy Shit! That was so fucking good, so what I wanted and needed it to be and everything in between! Sebastian Baas is back, and baby he is back in black! Straight out the damn gate, as soon as Sebastian struts his ass out on the pages of this book ACDC's Back in Black was screaming and pulsing around him (in my mind, not the book). He is still the same Seby we love to hate, a charming, manacle, confident, sexy as shit mothafuka! That is still just this side of psychotic....... He is a character, that for the first time EVER I can't find a picture to portray what Adriana Noir has used her words to paint! I can't! I found a kinda Seby for my review of Sinister Kisses but it left me uneasy because it wasn't quiet ALL that Sebastian Baas truly is. He is unlike any character I've read, I know I keep saying that but shit I feel like I can't get it across to you, ok, let me try, ummm, we are going to get a mixing bowl and add men to it, ehhh, Ok, first Jericho Barron's, add him, for the tough leader, and a guy you don't dick around with, then add some Caleb from Dark Duets for the slightly mentally unstable and need to control everything facet of Seby, and we gotta throw some Grey in there for the tailored suits and upper hand he keeps in bed, ok, mix all of them up and guess what, yeah, no. Still not strong enough to describe this man! Dammit! Sorry, but honest to God, you will have to read this series to grasp the utter magnitude that Sebastian's character truly beholds.
Oh and bless her poor heart, Taylor. Baby girl I just don't know what to tell you, I want to tell you to run like hell in the other direction away from this man while you beat his ass into a bloody pulp while simultaneously fucking his brains out. This is not a cross roads ladies, he has brought me to an epic autobahn intersection that is a total clusterfuck of intersecting roads, paths and train tracks with no working red, green, or yellow lights!!!!
Ok, now here is the other side of Kimmi, remember? Before all of that rambling you just waded through up there, I said I was divided, yeah ok, so this part of me has had it rationally explained (you know by the rational Kimmi, lmfao) that just because you think you want something, doesn't mean you need it. I know I am just the reader, lmao, and I have to let Adriana take me where she wants me to go but the id in me, the irrational child, is screaming at the top of her lungs and stomping her feet demanding rainbows, unicorns, babies and wedding bells!!!! However Adriana is not as maliciously twisted as Seby, she does not leave you hanging in the balance of a cliffhanger that you are certain you won't live through. She puts some pieces together, just enough to keep us little addicts fed but not enough to keep us away and clamoring for the third book in this series!
*Side note, this review is one of those reviews where not only my Tourette's came out, but apparently a second personality (that I was unaware existed) surfaced as well, so I would like to apologize for the clusterfuck this review is, It's just that, well sometimes when a book is just too good, and the bat shit crazy bitch in your head is fixing to take you down if you don't let her out, it's best just to not fight her, and let that crazy bitch out ; ) So I did.
I give this fan-fuck-tastic book 5 charmingly psychotic Kimmi stars *****

If you’ve read the first book, you will not go past to the second one! I have no hesitation about it, because it is damn easy to become addicted to this series. I will for sure continue with it. Still I have to say, that I expected a bit more from the second book. I am a dark story junkie, but in the second book I just missed a dark, gritty intensity of the first book. Though it was a bit from everything – crazy actions, misunderstandings between Taylor and Sebastian, that coursed some unpleasant situations for Taylor of course, bad boys with bad intentions, good partners with good timing, a courageous young woman, some portion of jealousy, malicious intrigues, hot sex scenes, submissive heroine and dominating superhero.
Seby…he is still the same, controlling, possessing, obsessing over Taylor, dangerous, sexy, excellent as lover and very intense. Taylor…Her life is almost everything except boring.
Life was a constant battle of pleasure and pain at Sebastian’s hands, but there was no denying the sweetness of the reward in the end.

She has yet to learn to please Sebastian in his way and to find a way to balance his emotions. If he is in the bad mood, everything she says or does is wrong. Though he loves her really, he is crazy of her, she is everything for him and he tries very hard to change himself. That it is not so easy for him, but he really tries to do his best.
I swear to you, I will always love you and protect you with everything I have. You’re my entire world. I could never imagine living without you. I want to start building the rest of my life around you. You make me want to do better, Taylor. You make me want to be a better person, and not many people inspire that in me.

Anyway I am hooked and I am waiting for the book 3!
I hope that Adrian Noir is working now hard on her next book of the series!

OMG! This book is, to borrow a term from a good friend, BRILLIANT! I'm coming to terms at how twisted I must be for loving this series as much as I do! Make no mistake, it's beyond dark, fair warning, take the authors warning seriously before you crack the cover.

I didn't find this one as cringe worthy as book one, Sinister Kisses, but it was gritty in other ways.

Bring on book 3!!! I need it now! :)

I've just decided to write the review on this book. It's better to get it over and done with!
Now after reading one whole book and 3/4's of the second part I finally found out Saab's age :/ go figures, he's 32 and Tay's 20. Now nothing's wrong with being with an older man (I actually prefer older men) but knowing the character's age and taking into stock book one and the way he acts and responds to anything especially including Tay, removed the rose coloured scales from my eyes.

Initially Saab is a PSYCHOPATH hands down! Conditioning aside, the man is hands down crazy! As I said in my review from the first book, the way he 'loves' Taylor is the kind love your mother teaches you NOT to accept from a man. But its understandable her character not growing up with a mom to teach her that she falls for this type of man! *rolls eyes*

Anywhos I prefer to read books with women with back bone, so Tay's totally submissive demeanor in and out the bedroom bores me! but who wouldn't be submissive, if I 'bullied' into living with a psychopath who would trip and beat me with a leather belt if I took to long of a breath :/

However, the story line was one of the factors that kept me reading! I like books/movies etc that themed this way, with lots of action, kidnapping explosions etc. So I was excited when all my favourite things all occurred in one book.

The writing is not excellent but it is not so poor as to turn me off from continuing to read.
I am som what interested in what would happen in the third installment of this book, since the plot held my interest as well as Josh's character. However it won't be in my waiting list! If I remember the third installment or happen to come across it some where I will read it! otherwise i'm not sitting patiently anticipating its release.

My opinion Josh and the story line are the saving grave for this series.

Soooo... for as much as I loved the first book, this one seemed to fall a little flat for me. Most of it was filled with how much Sebastian and Taylor love each other, and I already understood that. What I loved about the first book was how well their passion burned on through the domination, control, and abuse that he doled out on her. I feel like most of this story fell back on that. I didn't need all the sweetsweet love. It was over the top, and actually bored me. A lot.

However, the last quarter of the book kicked up the action, intrigue, and darkness that I've learned to love about this story. The Sebastian I was expecting finally made an appearance! And, of course, left me with the question of how the hell he's going to deal with the fallout.

I hope the third book gets back on track, and this doesn't turn into one of those series that should have ended long before it did. I have a feeling that it will. Fingers crossed!

3.5 much better stars!

This is book 2 of the SKALS series so it is a must to read Sinister Kisses first before heading to this one.

Take it from the title itself, this book pretty much focuses on getting their vengeance and it doesn't just involve one person. It's like you made one wrong move against Sebastian, expect a payback. Somehow, that's how this story goes, what's more... the vengeance branches out from one person to another, so imagine the tangle of events.

Sebastian's character remains unpredictable, you can never tell what mood is he in so Taylor sometimes still trembles and can't decide how to answer him. Sadly, for me, this cycle is really starting to get a wee bit annoying.

The interesting part of this book is once I reached the "action scene" it's been awhile since I read anything like it, so I really enjoyed it. Especially when it makes me wish I can read faster to know how things would end up. I also love the bad-ass way of how Sebastian told Marx about his feelings for Taylor. If I hate him on some parts when he's trying to discipline Taylor before, well I love him now... Maybe we can change Sebastian's way when he gets angry on Taylor in the future... I mean who knows? Right?

There's this one thing that I can't ignore about this book though, why is it that Sebastian doesn't hire a maid/helper? It just doesn't make sense... I don't think he can maintain the mansion spotless with the kind of job he's having, so it's really a bit unrealistic. He's always tired when he gets home, you think he still got the energy to clean the house, do the laundry, do some cooking and etc? I don't think so. This is probably the only book I read where the hero is rich, lives in a big house with NO helper. Just a mention of a gardener, but still... totally unbelievable.

This book is better than the first one. But I can't say I'm loving it. Nonetheless, I'm still interested to know how things (their vengeance or more like their vendetta) would go, so I guess it's not a bad thing.

WOW Sab is the most intensive character I have ever read. Never met a character I hated & loved at the same time. I did like bk 2 better then the 1st one. Here you understand his character more. The best part is about 75% when a certain situation happens. You see how his character is trained to do what he needs to do. It was one the best plot! Now Taylor, well I still found her character one dimensional, I just could not connect to her. Again just my opinion.

OMG! Are You kidding me? Please, please, let there be another book. It can't stop now, there has to be more?! Just has to be!!!!

"A tiny voice in the back of her mind protested, insisting it was wrong, possbly even warped to love someone who could hurt her and to crave him the way she did, but it was like a fever- a sickness with no cure." -Taylor

Where do I even begin. So picking up where book 1 left off. Sebastian is still one scary/sexy man. I can't say I always liked him but certainly understand his actions. The one thing I loved the most about him was his fierce love and protection for Taylor.

"Bullets were a last resort-a way to put a swift merciful end to someone's suffering. They were an act of kindness in his mind. One he preferred to do without. He liked time to toy with his targets and make them think about what they had done." -Sebastian

This story just got even better. I loved all the action. So many jaw dropping moments in this book. I was on the edge plenty. Wow!

Still have a major crush on Josh. Can't wait to see what's going to become of Marx. That being said, this last quote has me looking forward to a book 3. (Hopefully, fingers crossed)

"Things would be different. He would do better, be better. He would do whatever it took to keep Taylor safe and be the man she needed him to be. Nothing would ever come between them again." -Sebastian

5 Jaw Dropping, Action Packed, Sexy/Steamy/Scary Stars!!!!! :-)

GAH! There better be a SKALS 3! I was not expecting it to end! Just when I'm really starting to like Sebastian, and believe me, he was not easy to like, liking his relationship with Taylor, it's over ):. After all the chaos, all the awful things that just happened, I want to know what the future holds for them.

Okay, rant over. I felt more of a connection with Taylor and Sebastian. A lot more than I did in Sinister Kisses. And shockingly, I understood some of Sebastians reasoning. Never thought I'd say that. The whole punishment over Taylor not wearing the necklace in the first book was too much, but after the sheeeeooottt that just happened here, I know why Sebastian is so adamant in his punishment to make sure Taylor doesn't 'forget.'

So much went down in Bound by Vengeance. SKALS. Sebby is one hellova alpha, and don't cross him! Marx even proved to have a little compassion, which I was not expecting. And then there is Josh. You gotta love him. He's sometimes the voice of reason and keeps Sebby in line.

Henderson. Poor Henderson. I liked him.

This isn't my usual romance read, but now that I'm hooked, I want to know when? WHEN is the third book coming? 'Cause I know this can't be the end. Ms. Noir would not end it here, right?

Seby, Seby.... you bad boy.. I want to hate you, I want to scream at you, I want to punch you, and yet I love your craziness. I seriously can't make heads or tales of how I like this book. Its like a secret guilty pleasure that I can't work my head around. Josh is my wingman, seriously he is always there to talk Sebastian off the edge, and thank the lord for that. And bossman- he has it coming, I hope Seb rips him to pieces for what happened to Taylor. And for the love of god can we get Seb some suspenders cause his belt is pissing me off.. Seriously I can't take it. Serious kudos to Adriana for making me feel all of these emotions, I was seriously twisted over this one as I was this first book, but this one shock me more and OH GOD, the ACTION.. 4.5 Stars for making me angry, turned on, and cry all in one book.. WTH!

after reading book one and loving it i waited eagerly for book two but i found i was a little disappointed, for me something was missing it didnt have the dark intensity of book one whether this is because i built it up so much in my mind or its something else im not sure. that isnt to say this isnt a good read because it is, but the concentration on the violence of sebastians job and less on the relatonship seemed to take away from the very dark and raw intensity of book one and left me wanting more from the book, however im addicted to this story and will continue with the series and hopefully more of the raw and dark intensity of book one will return

i was disturbed by this abusive relationship. There are nothing romantique here. Absolutly nothing!
Taylor is just a doll in Sebastien's hands. She is not allowed to act, think or breath without him saying when and how.
And please don't tell me that Sebastien acts like that because he cares for her savety when clearly HE IS Taylor's biggest danger.
Taylor is always walking on eggshells around him, which is a big , fat evidence that this is an abusive relationship.

What keeps me going on reading this serie is the SKALS's world and their "iconic" leader, Max. This guy is a bad new, a really bad new and i want to know what "entertaining" he prepares us.

Is it wrong that it's the DISCLAIMER that most attracts me to this book? I wonder if that says something about me? lol

Intended for mature audiences only

I'm Sebastian...much more than an FBI Agent. And your everything.
"I have a lot on my mind, and my patience is at a minimum. I don’t always like what I have to be to do my job, but right now that coldhearted, calculating bastard is what is keeping you alive. You need to live with it. Tread softly and use your head—do the things you know I expect, and you will be fine.”
So my now, nothing Sebastian does to "correct" Taylor really surprises me. I may have cringed a bit or silently yelled at him to "stop it" but in the end I was disturbingly conditioned to it. However I have my thoughts about whether Sebastian will turn over a new leaf and temper some of his crazed, autocratic punisher/lover behavior.

There is no doubt that, in reading Sebastian's character, he loves Taylor with something that is still obsessively beautiful, but after the ordeal Taylor experiences from Sebastian's enemies in this book, I have to question if Sebastian's correction camp duly set her up for withstanding the pressure and pain. Maybe it did. Or Maybe, Sebastian will learn to let loose his suffocating grip and understand that Taylor can be freer and still be respectful of the danger involved in their lives, without fear of his mercurial anger & punishing actions.
description
Because Sebastian, being involved in a secret, elite & deadly brotherhood, is most definitely in constant danger, and so too are his loved ones. He lives precariously between distrust of his team & boss and worry for his family. With this kind of conflict, it is easy to root for Sebastian to triumph over all and be a little hopeful that he'll change his utter dominance over Taylor. Be less physically abusive, and that is of course without completely changing his alpha character (Sebastian should never be reduced to "straight lovesick wuss"!

In all, this book had some action that I could appreciate even though I still find the main conflict, Sebastian's rivalry with his enigmatic leader, as interesting as it is annoyingly convoluted. In addition, Taylor's character showed some strength despite being limited to her complete loyalty to and brainwashing from Sebastian. Hey, she freakin' loves the crap out of him, and I don't know if it is possible to love so hard despite the ugliness of it, but I keep reading the saga of these two anyway.

I finished this book yesterday and had to take a break before I wrote a review.

I loved this book but have so many different shitty feelings about it....

It irked me something fierce that Seb found it NECESSARY to punish Taylor by beating her with a belt. Come on now.....only a fucked up abuser says...."it's for your own good" and "i only do this because I love you" Seriously????

I understand that Taylor has submissive characteristics but she isn't supposed to be stupid and just accept everything Seb says as GOLD!! Ok so I kinda understand that she is in deep now and can't go anywhere...or else she is dead and that infuriates me to no end.

Then when I am just ready to throw my tablet across the room...Seb says or does something so fucking sweet....that I just SWOON!!! Me??? Swoon??? HELL NO!!! (but I do)

I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens next!

What a rollercoaster! Seb has to be one of the most over the top controlling hero ever. And Taylor loved him in spite of that. Crazy. There's prolly a psych book written about this dysfunctional romance.

The ending was so abrupt I gasped in anger. There will be another book featuring this couple...why...they went they hell in this book. I want marriage, baby and a final hea in the next book please. Don't think I can take a long drawn out series featuring Sebby and his discipline!

Maybe I've just been ruined by the likes of Aleatha Romig and CJ Roberts but this was not as dark as I was hoping for. The first one had some darkness to it but I'm a dark and twisted addict and this did not feed my addiction. Not a bad story but I was expecting a lot more especially in this second book. Hopefully the third will get better. Again this wasn't bad just not my favorite.

I can't get over how abusive the relationship between Seb and Taylor is. It makes the story all sorts of crap and the Taylor plays the abused victim to a 'T' without noticing. It's like a trainwreck, yet I can't stop reading.
