8086/8088 Microprocessor: Architecture, Programming, and Interfacing

Rate this book
This book thoroughly explains one of the more popular advanced versions of the microprocessor--the Intel 8086/8088. In addition to introducing the 8086/8088, the text also introduces the 8087 and 8089 coprocessors and the more advanced versions of the 8086/8088---the 80186/80188, 80286, and 80386. This text presents a balanced view of the microprocessor by covering both programming and hardware interfacing. Many example programs are integrated into the interfacing discussions to provide a realistic view of interfacing. There are also many examples of interfaces, including printer, keyboard, display, motor speed control, and communications interfaces.
