Ecological economics addresses one of the fundamental flaws in conventional economics--its failure to consider biophysical and social reality in its analyses and equations. The Introduction provides practical guidance on how students will typically experience their learning adventure throughout a PBL-oriented class. From my experience with introducing PBL to my students, the advice confirms what I have learned. It's helpful to have my experience confirmed and expressed in a way that I can use to forewarn my students and teaching colleagues. I look forward to further reading.....
