This is a very cute rhyming story about ghosts in Ghost Town. Cute bright drawing to add to the delightful poems.

I am not much a fan of the ghost concept, and this story seemed pointless to me. Nothing much to tell, not the best illustrations, rhymes so-so.

Fun for wee ones

This is such a fun little rhyming read. It's perfect for wee ones and young readers. There are even some ghostie jokes after the story.

Just in time for Halloween...

Everyone knows that ghosts are the main residents in Ghost Town so on Halloween we trek to Ghost Town to see for ourselves. A great variety of ghosts we encounter and at the end of the day, we're not scared of ghosts, now are we?

A delightful yet silly rhyming book by one of my favorite children's book authors, Gerald Hawsley. Bright and colorful illustrations matching with rhymes make this a must-read for children of all ages. It works even better when read aloud.

My Rating: 5+ stars

Tot loves a cute ghost. I am happy to share this love with her.

Pre-tot: This would be fairly amusing for a child just beginning to read. The pictures are colorful and the rhymes are easy. As someone with a weakness for cute ghost, I particularly liked the jokes at the back.

While I don't have any kids to call my own, I do babysit a few that love it when I read to them. When GHOSTIES was free on Amazon, I took advantage of the deal and downloaded a copy of my own. I babysat the weekend before Halloween so the youngest and I cuddled up with my iPad and read about some ghosties.

As he was only two years old, the "spooky" puns at the end of the story were a total bust. He did enjoy reading along and lots of fun pointing out all the pictures of words he knew. At one point he decided he wanted to read it on his own and mixed up GHOSTIES with HUMPTY DUMPTY. Since he was highly entertaining having so much fun, I couldn't ruin his fun

All-in-all, this picture book was a cute holiday read. Carter and I were both vastly amused, though probably for completely different reasons. LOL. If you're ever on the lookout for a cute Halloween picture book, give GHOSTIES a shot. It's no longer free but it is available for free to Kindle Unlimited members.

Good for a range of ages 2-6

Age: 6 cute and funny Age:4 super cute fluffy ghost

A great little read for the entire family with smaller children between the ages of 2-6.

When it gets dark ghostie town appears but was it really there to begin with? Watch as your kids take the journey to discover what each ghostie does in their spare time.

That is.... until the sun comes up and it all disappears once more.

Recommended at this age bracket for any time of year, it especially helped with the concept of ghosts/monsters in the night, now my kids know that they have their own little town away from us.

A rhyming story full of fun with different ghosts. On one night of the year, a ghost town appears and those that are living are looking for a little scare.

This is a fun one for the kids. Not really scary ghosts they are more looking for fun and cheer not looking to scare. I liked the rhyming, the words flowed nicely and the art is a little goofy like the ghosts. This version had some cute kids jokes about ghosts at the end and a preview of another story by the author.

I had no real faults with the book it was cute and silly which was the point I am sure.

I would definitely read something else by this author and I think it is a good Halloween book for kids 7 and under.

Gerald Hawksley’s books are always entertaining with their short, silly rhymes and crisp, clean illustrations. Because this ebook includes extra material at the end of the story (ghostie jokes!), this simple picture book is not just a simple picture book, but a whole “ghostie” experience. Reading another Hawksley book also can mean being introduced to another word I need to look up. (Sorry, but I never knew “pongs” were strong, unpleasant smells.) The end result is priceless: my kids and I learn another word that will get a lot of use around our house!

Giggles For Days

This book had my toddler giggling non-stop. My son is obsessed with anything ghost and Halloween related so it was a perfect read for him! He loved the silliness and the rhyming. He especially loved the illustrations of all the silly Ghosties. Definitely a fun read! Ghosties has become one of his all time favorite bedtime stories!
