Honestly I didn’t really expect anything for this but Aaaa this book was such a fun ride!
The story was full of cosiness, sweetness and fluffiness. It also had a good amount of action and angst, it was a perfect balanced combination!
Oh,Milo and Everett are perfect for each other. I loved how protective Everett was about Milo this gave me so much serotonin🥹💕!
To the Mpreg part, I didn’t know how I would react to it, because usually I don’t really read this trope, but it was really well done and I felt so comfortable experience this with the MCs.
This read left me feeling with a lot of positive emotions, so I’ll definitely read volume 2 when it’s out☺️!

Peppa’s review said this story left them with positive emotions and I am agreeing so hard!

This was such a fun shifter read! I got all the growly possessiveness that I’ve come to expect from fated mates stories and it was done really well here. There’s some humor, danger, fluff, fated mates, mate marks, scenting and Mpreg, tho that came so late in the story I actually forgot about it, it was one of the tamest I’ve read. ☺️

Milo’s POV having a conversation with Everett’s dad
"Very good." He smiled, and for some reason the approval in his expression eased my nerves. "Do you live downtown?"
"Yes, sir. I have an apartment."
"Alone?"
I cocked my head. Was he trying to figure out if anyone would miss me?
Don't be crazy.
" I have a roommate. Steve." Technically, Steve was a succulent. But he did share the apartment with me.

Milo’s POV before he became aware of the existence of shifters
”I'm Lacey." She took my hand and I shook it, amazed by how small it was within my own.
"It's nice to meet you, Lacey."
"Are you a bear?" she asked, her eyes flicking to Melinda in question.
I laughed. I didn't know they taught kids this young about gay slang. "I'm very definitely not a bear. More of a twink, but I'm not quite pretty enough for that."
She looked confused. "Like a Twinkie?"
"Close enough," I decided.

There’s nothing too deep, it feels light-hearted even with the danger looming and it was so fun to read. I’m sad the next book isn’t out yet I wanted to jump right into the next book! Heavily implied it will be Danny’s book since his mate showed up, I’m hoping for hurt/comfort due to Danny’s past and I hope the author keeps the growly possessiveness cos let’s face it, if there’s no possessiveness in a fated mates story then I ain’t reading it 😒

Everett’s POV
He scrambled off the bed and headed for the bathroom while I dug around in my closet until I found one of my old high school shirts that, while too big for Milo, would fit him better than anything else would. I paired it with a set of sweatpants Danny had left behind. I rubbed myself all over the pants like the possessive bastard I was so they'd smell like me instead of Danny, then placed them outside the bathroom door.

Yeeeesss 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is the first book I read by this author and I absolutely loved it! I'm always in for a good shifter romance and this one did deliver.
Milo is an omega that finds himself in a complicated situation when his date grows fangs. He runs away and hides in the forest where Everett finds him. Everette is a bear shifter and he realises straight away that Milo is his fated mate, but Milo has no idea that shifters exist.
The story is sweet and beautiful from the beginning. Milo and Everett are perfect for each other as Everett takes care of the little omega without hesitating, but he is also sweet and understanding, giving Milo the space and time he needs.
I loved seeing an alpha that didn't push and waited on his partner. Milo needed time to accept what the world really was like but he couldn't deny the attraction he felt for Everett. Also, the bear's family was so accepting too and Milo did find the family he'd always wanted to have.
This novel is full of love, rightness and so much goodness. It left me feeling good, happy and content as I really enjoyed this book. There is also a bit of action and so much protectiveness from the alpha and his clan, just the perfect combo for a wonderful story.

Well, that was one fluffy romance. Not complaining though.

Everett and Milo were incredibly adorable. Maybe even too much so, but that’s a matter of taste.

Their relationship progressed rather fast, and I normally don’t mind that too much, especially if it’s omegaverse, but this time around I wished for more time. Maybe that had to do with the plot or with the details that I felt were missing. I don’t really know and it honestly doesn’t matter either. I liked Everett and Milo together even though the beginning of their relationship felt kinda incomplete.

The world in which this story was set was much more complex/unusual than expected. I haven't decided yet whether I like it or not. I guess that remains to be seen when the next books in this series come out and whether the (rather) unexpected paranormal beings make sense in a world like this.

Anyways, the plot was nice. It was fortunately not all fluffiness, sparkles and heart eyes, which often than not is the case for omegaverse stories. This one had some angst and drama, which I was glad for.

To sum up all this, I enjoyed the book and for this being the first in the series (and, if I understand correctly, the first book by this author), it was really nice. I’m looking forward to the rest of this series.

I had a good feeling about this one and I wasn’t wrong!

Perfect read for MPreg and shifters lovers!!

The premise is simple yet works: human omega meets bear shifter who happens to be his fated mate. Found family, some drama and lots of hurt/comfort!!

We first meet Milo, who happens to be in a date with a guy he meet through an app… and ended being a total creep. And are those fangs? He must get out of there, and that’s how he ends ups running though the forest, soaked, cold and lost. And then… is that a bear?

It is indeed, but what he doesn’t know is that the bear that makes him pass out is none other than Everett, one of the guys in the rescue team that realizes Milo is his mate as soon as he catches his smell.

Milo not knowing about shifters made this a bit more interesting. It was nice with him being naturally distrustful of strangers, and it making crazier the way Everett makes him feel.

I’ve said this more than once: I’m not a fan of instaloves, but I love them with the fated mates premise because this is the only time (or one of the few times) when I find it believable. And this time was not less. I loved seeing Everett struggling with the need to claim but also protect, and seeing the oblivious human feeling the bond even when he’s not aware of it was nice too!

I love possessive males in romances, and also the “damsel in distress” kind of plot, so I enjoyed it plenty. I can’t deny I wouldn’t have minded if Milo had been more… fighty? But that’s the way he is, and I bet Danny (Ev’s little brother and the next omega MC) will be completely different. Can’t wait to discover more about his past situation and how things go with Knox!!

So not going to lie, this was an experiment. I'm not really a fan of Mpreg and didn't know how I would react.
But honestly, this book was pure fun, cosiness and fluffiness.
I enjoyed every second of this book and can't wait for book 2.
This book has me completely sold on this world and A.J. Cane's writing.

A.J. Cane is a new to me author, I've never read anything written by them before and I have to say I'm quite impressed. I really liked the concept and the plot of this story. The idea of a human having a date for wrong with a man who tried to bite him, and then that causes him to run into his fated mate? I really liked that concept, and it was unique.

Milo has no idea shifters exist or are living amongst him, he also has no idea what mates are or what the word means. When he meets Everett though he knows he feels some sort of connection to the man who saved him. But he's unsure of why he feels that way. Milo has had a hard life due to him living in foster homes with people who bullied him and treated him poorly. He's never had a family or people he trusts, he hasn't ever had anyone who would realize if he went missing. Ever since he got rescued he's realizing that he might just have a family and people who love him yet.

Everett's character was so unlike other Alpha makes, he didn't use his authority as a way to bully omegas. Instead he made sure to not come off as threatening and made sure to listen to Milo and respect his boundaries. I liked the way these two slowly formed their relationship, I thought it was written well.

I really enjoyed the nod to potential stories in the future, I would love to read Danny's story. I want to know how he's going to respond to finding his fated mate. So, I'm looking forward to that. Overall this was a good and unique concept on the fated mate trope.

Brave little omega indeed! This was a lovely story. It is an mpreg shifter fantasy that is set in omegaverse, which makes it sound really complicated, but the world was pretty understandable and the focus was on other things, not the general world-building. The writing is good and the story flows naturally.
I really liked the characters. I am a sucker for protective, possessive shifters, so Everett was a delight, but I also enjoyed Milo's strong, independent spirit. They are a lovely match, and even though their mating had a few bumps, they are a wonderful couple. It is a very sweet, deep-felt story and a delight to read.

The Bear’s Brave Omega is the first book in what appears to be a series, and it follows the formula of a good fated mates story. There’s nothing too surprising here, but it works well together, along with a side of alpha/omega dynamics and male pregnancy. Add in the shifters, and it’s a sweet story with just a bit of action.

This is an easy read with a cast of lovely secondary characters to flesh out the main story, and MCs who fit just right. If you’re a fan of mpreg and alpha/omegas, as well as shifters, then check this one out.

This new to me author really did a good job with this shifter romance. From the start it grabbed me. Milo's awful and scary date that turned into so much more...he had no idea what was waiting for him...his life was about to change...fate brought him Everett and his wonderful family. Somewhat of a slow burn romance...not much angst...a little action/drama with some humor to make this a really lovely book. I was real satisfied with the ending and can't wait to read more matches. I really recommend giving this author a try especially if you love shifter/mpreg romances. This was nice!

So cute!!

The reasons why I rate a book 5 stars. I love the genre, the book kept my interest, I love the characters, and I look forward to reading the next book.

Milo is so adorable. He has no idea about shifters so that makes it super fun. Everett, his fated mate, is careful about how he acts around him.

I really like the characters in this story. They don't just meet and jump in the sack and there's nothing wrong with that side either ;) But I like it.. they have to get to know each other. And then there's the psycho wolf on the background.

Just a fun, entertaining read.

The Bear’s Brave Omega
By AJ Cane
Milo, an omega goes on a blind date from hell. He ends up running away from his date that tries to attack him and ends up in the woods where he thinks he sees a bear before passing out. He’s saved by the Grizzly Ridge Search and Rescue… the first he comes in contact with, Everett. While the Grizzly Ridge PD searches for Milo’s attacker, Everett takes him to his family home under his protection. Unbeknownst to Milo, he’s Everett’s fated mate. Although Milo’s is well accustomed to Alpha/Omega dynamics, he has no clue about the existence of shifters. 🟤 I love a good Omegaverse romance. The Bear’s Brave Omega is no exception. Milo has a sad history, not knowing who his parents are & moving from one foster home to the next. He just wants someone to love him and put him first. Everett has been searching for his fated mate but has been unsuccessful. How did he know he’d find him passed out and hypothermic in a small crevice in the woods? Meanwhile, the Alpha who attacked Milo is from a rogue wolf pack & keeps trying to kidnap Milo. Milo slowly falls for Everett and Everett must find the right time to tell him about shifters. It’s a race against time to find the alpha wolf, keep Milo safe, and mark him.

I really enjoyed this new to me author! This book was so good that I hated to have it end. Milo was raised in foster care since birth. He's made it on his own and as an omega, he's gotten a degree in accounting and has a good job, but he's lonely. Trying a dating app for the first time has him running for his life.

Everett is the quiet brother. As an enforcer for his pack, he's on a special rescue unit and is sent out to find a missing omega mate. His grizzly form is the one to come across the human only for him to realize that he's his fated mate! A huge grizzly bear is the last thing Milo sees before he passes out.

Sweet story, some angst that features a crazy, rogue wolf shifter who is focused on Milo, a family and community that welcomes Milo, sweet kids and a sexy bear that has Milo feeling like he belongs.

I can't wait for the next book in this series! I love MM shifter books! This is a HEA Mpreg.

Milo & Everett

Rating: 4.4 ⭐

- First Times
- Fated Mates
- Shifter/Human
- Rouge Threat

Milo is a sweetheart that has been very lonely growing up an orphan. He built a stable life for himself and doesn't take many chances. The one time he gets out of his comfort zone and goes on a date, he finds out about the supernatural world the hard and scary way. He runs for his life when his date tries to bite him (force mate) and then he is rescued in the forest by Everett and his team. Luckily for Milo, Everett is his fated mate even if he doesn't know that or anything about shifters.

Everett is enraged the fishy rescue circumstances but also elated at finding his true mate. His family is keeping Milo within their town to protect him but they are not revealing their secret, making his courting difficult to maneuver. Everett's family is everything that Milo has ever dreamed of being apart of and is having a hard time accepting their affections. With Milo beginning to notice anomalies, keeping secrets while trying to protect him from the rouge wolf shifter who is stalking him becomes impossible to manage.

I am looking forward to Danny and Knox's book in the future.

I headed to the spare bedroom, shaking my head. What kind of bizarre place had I landed in?

Sugary sweet story about an alpha bear shifter Everett who discovered that an omega human Milo was his fated mate before he even met him. It was fun to watch Milo realize that something was different, that he was drawn to this man, felt protected by this man, attracted to this man - meanwhile, this man is a fucking bear. And his fated mate. Was it a little absurd? Yes. Did I eat it up with a spoon while smiling the entire time? Yep!

I followed my mate’s scent to the stream and crossed over, but there was no trace of sweetness and cherries on the other bank. I glanced back at the stream. He must have walked along it. Had he realized it would obscure his scent? Or had he just hoped it would lead him somewhere he could find help? Either way, my mate was smart.

⬆⬆⬆ So cute. Everett is strutting around proudly saying "my mate was smart" before he even meets Milo. And then when he meets Milo, he practically melts over how cute Milo's name is! It was insta-love but we saw that coming as soon as Everett realized Milo was his fated mate. I was in absolute heaven with Everett's inner dialogue. 🥰

Everett's possessiveness was really hot - from an omegaverse perspective, of course. I was dying over the fact that Milo kept thinking that the things Everett would say and do were half red flags, half hot as fuck. 🥵 We've all been there, buddy. Poor Milo was a confused mess through the first half of the book, but he also felt safer and more loved than he had ever felt before. It didn't hurt that Everett was the hottest man he'd ever seen.

For some reason, his presence made me feel safer than I ever had before. I wanted to beg him to crawl into the bed and hold me, but that was crazy. I couldn’t invite a rugged stranger into my bed.

Milo took the bear shifter discovery in stride and jumped right on board, which was somewhat unbelievable, but it's an omegaverse book so what do we expect? Go get your man, I guess. 😂 He was super cute about being attracted to Everett's bear form, too. Instant cuddles.

My favorite part of this story was the found family - Everett's family adopted Milo immediately, and the whole town was just a plethora of characters that added just enough to the story without overwhelming the reader with too many people. I would love a separate book about the children's home and all of the little kid shifters, especially Sam. Please give me more domestic Milo taking care of his new family!

This had me rolling on the floor - For some reason, the smell of vegetables cooking didn’t turn my stomach the way meat did—to the horror of every bear shifter in my new family—so we’d be eating more vegetables, at least until my morning sickness abated. All of these giant grizzly bears who prefer steaks and venison are all eating vegetables due to tiny sweet Milo's morning sickness. He (and Everett) had them all totally whipped for him. 🥹🥹

There was a slightly angsty kidnapping plot thrown in which just showed off more of Everett's protective nature and Milo's spunk 🥵 and then a sugary sweet HEA with a hint of a future book about Danny. Listen, I would gladly read another book by the same author - the character building was really sweet, the townspeople were wonderful, and I thoroughly enjoyed that a shifter fell in love with a human with no hesitation. It was a fluffy happy book, and I can't wait for Knox and Danny's story!!

Milo goes on a date, that goes very wrong very quickly. Milo finds himself on a date with a rogue alpha wolf shifter, but Milo does not know anything about shifters. During the date, the alpha attempts to mate with Milo by giving him a mating bite, without consent. Milo manages to flee the restaurant and goes into the woods. Everett searches for Milo as part of the search and rescue team. Everett finds Milo and discovers that Milo is his fated mate by his scent. Everett takes Milo to his parents’ house. The rogue wolf who is on the verge of going feral is still lurking around and his focus is on getting Milo as he believes Milo is his fated mate. Everett convinces Milo to stay with his family until they can catch the wolf, Milo reluctantly agrees.

Milo and Everett are instantly drawn and attracted to each other; their dynamic gave me instalove vibes. Milo becomes confused with what Everett’s intensions are with him being hot and cold with him. Everett struggles how to navigate this situation – his mate is a human who does not know about shifters and just went through a traumatic event. They quickly sort this out and Everett reassures Milo of his intensions and feelings for him.

Milo is touch starved from growing up in foster care and not getting the love and affection he needed. In the beginning he seems reserved, polite, and almost meek. As the book progresses we see him come out of his shell, while he is still quite quiet, he is firm with Everett with what he wants and that he gets to decide what he is ready for. Everett is different from the typical alpha stereotype. While he is possessive and protective of Milo, he is not controlling. He wants to support Milo, take care of him, and wants him to be happy, but still gives him complete autonomy. I really liked them together, pure sweetness your teeth ache!

Milo is very strong from his childhood to the life he made himself, and the events he went through in this story. Even in the face of being taken by the rogue/feral wolf, he never stops fighting. Milo not only finds his mate and someone who will always put him first, but he also found that family he has always wanted and needed.

I would say that this book is more of a cozy and sweet read vs spicy. There is some spice, but not a lot, and it is very tame. It was a quick cozy sweet read with very low angst. After reading some dark romances lately, this book was perfect for me because I needed a little break the darker stuff.

This is one of the first omegaverse books I have read – it took me down the shifter rabbit hole where I became obsessed and read nothing but shifter fated mates books for the last month lol.

I am looking forward to continuing the series, especially Danny and Knox’s story!

There are too many choices (too many TBRs (too many TBR lists), too many ARCs (too many ARC lists), too many new books (too many new book lists). I've made soooo many choices today. So...I choose to go off script (yes, again) and read a book that randomly poped up on my phone last night. Here's AJ Cane's "The Bear's Brave Omega." It's the first novel in the Grizzly Ridge series.

["Bear shifter Everett has found his fated mate, but he'll have to defeat another alpha to keep him.

When Milo’s date sprouts fangs and tries to bite him, he flees into the nearby forest and ends up lost. The gorgeous man who rescues him seems too good to be true… until Milo discovers his secret.

Everett knows the human omega is his fated mate, but the last thing Milo needs is another alpha shifter trying to claim him so soon after his traumatic experience.

Unfortunately, Milo’s date from hell is determined to mate with him—willing or not—and Everett will have to fight tooth and claw to protect their love."]

I wanted angst but not too many trigger warnings. I wanted possession but not too much darkness. I wanted someone non-contemporary but not too out of my comfort zone. This book was a perfect combination of all of that and so much more (another series and author to binge might make those choices above seem more stressful, but it's a new goal..which is somehow different to my anxiety so..).

These two were fucking adorable. Everett was protective but understanding. He was possessive but let Milo lead. Milo was unsure of everyone and everything. Until he met Everett and his large (and generous and loud and caring) family, he never had anyone care about him (in all of the ways). They gave each other something that they've been craving in life, if they knew it or not.

Everett found love and foundation. Milo found comfort and a reason to dream.

Their love wasn't easy, but they figured it out (with all of the help from Everett's meddling family).

Trigger Warnings: attempted assault, attempted kidnapping, side character with abusive-ex background (off page), discrimination, and more.

4.5 stars. First, I hugely love the world of fated mates, shifters, scents, and protective alphas, and when there’s also mpreg… perfect!!
This one was really good!

Everett is a big Alpha bear shifter, and part of the Grizzly Ridge Search and Rescue squad.
One day they get an alarm about a missing omega. His alpha made the call.
That made Everett cautious, how does an alpha lose his omega? The tracks speak of struggling. The omega’s scent is delicious, Everett is sure, it’s his fated mate!

Milo is determined to survive, running the rough landscape, with cold rivers, and rocks, he’s hurt but everything is better than that frightening alpha who wanted to bite him.
Milo is a human omega and doesn’t know about the existence of the shifters’ world.

Luckily Everett found his omega on time and takes him to his pack and his parents’ home.
He has to be patient, to show this sweet vulnerable omega he is his.

Milo is an orphan and touch-starved, he always yearns to be someone’s first choice. He was always alone, never someone’s choice, let alone a first choice. And here is this big Alpha who swears he’ll protect him, always take care of him, and offers him a family.
Milo is cautious, he’s very attracted to Everett, and he loves his warm and protective family, but there’s something going on. He demands to know the truth or he’ll leave.

Milo is still in danger, the rogue Alpha wolf shifter is looking for Milo, and he’s near!

Gosh, this story was everything, a big protective alpha, a vulnerable but brave omega, a welcoming pack, and a dangerous threat, there’s time made for a sweet romance, pack matters, and exciting action.
The story is well balanced, with a great dynamic, palpable feelings, a comfortable pace, and super entertainingly written!

Adorable fated-mates alpha-omega Mpreg MM romance

What a lovely read! A very solid romance, no big surprises, but, completely delivered on the fated mates/shifters trope, with an omega in trouble, a hot protective alpha who realizes the omega is his mate, and a found family. I think this is a debut novel, too. I enjoyed it and ate it for breakfast. Yum!

Milo and Everett are adorable together, so sweet, and I was rooting for them from the moment Everett scented the missing Milo and tracked him down while realizing the missing man is his mate. Milo ran into the woods to get away from a date gone very bad, and now he’s being hunted by that date, who’s insisting to everyone that Milo is HIS mate. Everett knows that can’t be true. Everett brings Milo to his parents’ home to recover and be safe until they can find the man who’s targeting Milo, and for orphaned, child of the system Milo, it's a whole new world of caring, family, and falling for the big protective man who brought him home.

Oh. And. Milo has NO IDEA shifters exist! Which is fun. Because Everett is a big ‘ole bear, and oooh does he want to claim his man.

I enjoyed the heroes and all the secondary characters, and can tell there are going to be a lot of fun, s3xy, romantic stories set in this world. The author uses “popcorn chapters” that focus on the important parts and draw you right through the story beat by beat. Looking forward to more.

HEA, fated mates, bear shifter/human pairing, Mpreg, hero-in-jeopardy. No cheating or emotional cheating or any others in any way; the OM drama is from the unhinged date. Totally enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Finding His Fated Mate . . .

Milo had a date with Tomas whom he met through an app. But as soon as they met in person, Milo had some bad vibes. Tomas had insisted on driving them to a picnic table on the edge of the woods. So even though he wanted to go home, he was sort of stuck with the guy. He talked about all the animals he killed when he hunted. He was not only boring, but was arrogant and demanding. He never asked Milo about himself or his interests. Tomas sniffed Milo because he smelled so good; but Tomas (wolf shifter) smelled like wet fur and dirt. He decided the Omega was meant for him and fangs dropped! Milo smacked him in the face with a bottle of hot sauce and ran into the woods. He fell down an embankment into ice water. Tomas was a hunter, so falling into the water may help him get away without leaving signs of his passage in the woods.

Everett is an Alpha bear shifter who worked for the Grizzly Ridge Search and Rescue squad, their best tracker. This call from a wolf about his “lost” mate didn’t make sense. He was a wolf and could have tracked him… and why would his mate run away? When the tracks they find show a struggle occurred, he knew something wasn’t right. He finds Milo, who faints at seeing a bear coming toward him, and Everett takes him home to his pack for safety. From his scent, Everett knows he has found his fated mate and needs to talk with him so he knows what is going on and can decide if he chooses to be with Everett. But the alpha wolf has not given up and will forcefully claim Milo as soon as he finds him, unless Everett is willing to protect him. Will Everett claim Milo for his mate if Milo agrees? Or does Milo just want to return home and forget this strange experience?

The beginning of the book is boring but it does start to pick up around the middle, they have around 2-3 oral sexy-times and then finally fuck 80% (or around that) of the way through in chapter 34 (out of 50 chapters) and around page 208 is the start and 214 is the end.

The sex itself is laughable. It’s barely described and doesn’t last more than three thrust before they both cum. I felt like there was this big lead up for no reason and it was a serious let down.

It’s very much cliche and Milo got annoying constantly whining about how he was an orphan and how hard it was to be one. As if no one else can struggle as hard as he has. Get over yourself Milo.

The drama was nothing special. It’s the classic cliche stalker/obsessed random person making it their life’s mission to take the MC. I feel like if it were done properly then it could have been better but the author went the cliche route of using a little bit of their brain instead of using the whole thing. They basically just made the villain a ghost and decided that the characters in the story would ‘wait it out’ until the villain shows up. That’s the most annoying and cliche route the author could have taken. They could have added actual action to the story but instead they went the simple route. Sad.

3/5 because the drama just wasn’t it and the sex was even worse. The only reason it’s not lower is because it’s a solid-ish plot even if it was cliche.

THE BEAR'S BRAVE OMEGA is the first book in The Grizzly Ridge series. We start off with Milo on a very bad date. So bad, in fact, that he literally does a runner, cursing himself when he realises he ran the wrong way - away from civilisation. Everett is one of the search and rescue team who realises Milo is his mate. Only one problem... Milo has no idea shifters exist.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Everett is there for Milo every step of the way, treating him the way Milo wants. We get to meet others in the family, and I'm really hoping they all have stories too. One thing that did make me laugh was Milo's reaction to finding out shifters etc. were real. Because, after all, in a world with alphas and male omegas who can get pregnant, shifters would just be a step too far. 😂

A lovely story and a great start to the series. Looking forward to continuing with the rest of them. Definitely recommended by me.

Just finished this book by a new-to-me author and it was a total gem! 💎 It's all about shifter romance, which I'm a sucker for. So here's the gist:

Milo, our omega, gets into a bit of a pickle when his date suddenly sprouts fangs! 😲 He bolts and ends up in the forest where Everett, our bear shifter hero, finds him. Everett straight away knows Milo is his destined mate, but poor Milo is clueless about the whole shifter thing.

The story is just so darn sweet and lovely from get-go. 🥰 Milo and Everett are just perfect together - Everett looks after Milo without batting an eye but also gives him all the space he needs. It's refreshing to see an alpha who's patient and understanding.

What really got me though was how much time Milo needed to wrap his head around this new world he'd stumbled into. But despite all that, he couldn't ignore the sparks flying between him and Everett. Plus, Everett's bear clan welcomed him with open arms - giving Milo the family he'd always dreamed of.

This book is bursting with love, happiness and all things good! It left me feeling warm and fuzzy inside. There's also a sprinkle of action and lots of protective vibes from our alpha bear and his clan - making it one heck of a delightful read! 📚🐻💖

I received an ARC from GRR, this is my honest review.

One of my favorite type of shifter stories is bears. Everett is a bet shifter living in Grizzly Bear Ridge, a small town of mostly bear shifters. He is on the search and rescue team with his two brothers. They are called out to search for a wolf’s missing mate.

Milo decides to venture out and try the dating world. Unfortunately his first date is with a wolf shifter that is convinced Milo is his fated mate. Milo is a human, he is clueless about shifters, and when the wolf bares his fangs Milo takes off running through the woods.

When Everett finds Milo he knows instantly that they are mates. But, he also knows he can’t just claim him. Everett takes Milo to his families home to hide him and keep him safe while they look for the now missing wolf.

This story is full of instalove/lust/attraction, a clueless virgin human, a deranged wolf shifter, kidnapping, steamy first times, mating, and a lovely surprise.

I was very happy with the writing style, imagery, and character development. This is book 1 in the series and Everett’s brother will be book 2. I look forward to reading his story also.
