I loved this, even though I had no idea who any of these people were, where this was taking place or even when. This short-story is, i´m guessing, for fans of the series and not as an introduction for newcomers. The writing is crisp, there´s no effort to contextualize the action or the characters. This is for fans, period.
Still it made me go back to amazon and buy the first book of the trilogy.
I was in love with Jake Bible´s writing. Its brutal, savage, almost maniac. The whole short-story was a rush from the first to the last word. I was completely lost but i´ll be damned if I wasn't having a blast. I was just sad when it was over so fast. It puts the short in short-story if you know what I mean. It left me wanting more. And I have a suspicion that was the author intended.

Oh boy!

What an utter gore fest! It's short but absolutely packed with details about the Mech pilots. It explains a lot about their characters in the following books and, to me, is a vital read as part of the series.
It jumps from person to person yet flows well and kept me gripped as my jaw hit the floor. The violence is graphic yet stunning to read, I especially smiled at one character's ability to cause well deserved pain.

A fun little read (real short novella) that serves as an intro to the very oddball cast of characters that will be featured in a much longer story called: Dead Mech (Apex Trilogy, #1) by Jake Bible . I am looking forward to checking out Dead Mech: Zombies & Mech action mixed together!

Loved this little short. Even over Mr Bible's Z Burbia books which are excellent, I found this series of books to be incredibly enjoyable. Not one character was a filler, each one is well fleshed out and i couldn't help but smile at the Harlow and Masters storyline. This will definitely be a series that i will re read.

this was a 21 page short story prequel to his apex series. Two words to describe it. Gore and Porn. Reminded me a very bad version of Mad Max...gratuitous violence, and story jumped quickly through each characters quickly. It was hard to follow. If you're a fan of sex and violence, with no plot, go for it.

One Foggy Night is a short fun read. I really enjoyed Dead Mech and it was nice to see all these great characters again.
