Stefan never thought she'd come home... After five long years, she's within his reach and he's determined to find out what she kept hidden from him, while hoping that his own secret won't tear them apart again.
Simon never expected to fall in love with her... Asking her out had been impulsive, but suddenly the Doctor is falling for this woman who makes him ache like nobody else ever has and he's determined to make her his.

(This book contains mature language and adult situations, *may be a trigger*, suitable for 17+)

Violet Haze is a big fan of writing & reading romance. The autistic mother of one, she currently lives in Ohio and is self-employed. When not working or writing, she spends her days reading, procrastinating, & listening to her son play video games she doesn't understand, at all.
Surrender to You by C.S. Janey was sent to me for an honest review. It is a phenomenal story which I read in one sitting because there was no way to put it down. I loved it.
The story encompasses myriad emotions; from loss, heartbreak and regret to love, forgiveness and redemption. The author is a fantastic storyteller as evidenced by how this unique story unfolds and flows, and by the author's talent in creating well-developed characters. The relationship between protagonists, Elizabeth and Stefan, projected intensity of epic proportions on both sides of the spectrum; on one hand there was deep love, happiness and steamy sex, and on the other, anger and hatred. The relationship between Elizabeth and Simon, the other protagonist, was the polar opposite; gentle, sweet, and smooth.
This book surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend this more than 5-star read.
C.S. Janey surprised me. I expected your typical romance but I got a heart wrenching journey for two souls that have to come to terms with their past and how it defines and changes them in the present. There is love, hurt, anger, pain, forgiveness … so many emotions as you take what feels like a very real journey as these characters navigate the ups and downs of living.
Elizabeth and Stefan have an inferno style romance but then one night changes everything for Elizabeth and she doesn't know how to come out of the darkness which pushes Stefan away. It's been 5 years since they have seen each other and when Stefan forces his way back into Elizabeth's life, the inferno and connection between the 2 burns as bright as ever but is it enough? Secrets are revealed, can forgiveness be granted? In the midst of all of these challenges, enter Simon who sparks a desire in Elizabeth, something she hadn't felt with anyone other than Stefan but what she feels is different, this is a slow burn and I think ultimately comforts Elizabeth. Who will she choose? Is it really that simple? Expect several twists and turns … buckle up for an incredible ride!
This is the BEST book I have read in a long time. Not many books are written so well that it can bring the reader to tears but this is one. The story has love, sex appeal, tragedy, friendship and inspiration. EVERYONE should take the time to read this. I don't want to give any spoilers but if you are looking for a phenomenally written book..this is the winner by far. I couldn't put it down for a minute..and that can be bad when you go back to work late from lunch because you can't stop reading!! All I can say is WOW-fantastic start for a wonderful author! I can't wait to read more! *HUGS* -Excuse me while I get my tissues! PS- This book is priceless!
Loved this story!!! I read it as a WIP, but I saw it right through to the end. I felt real connections with the characters and shed real tears on more than one occassion. I'm almost sad that it's over, but I'm glad that Elizabeth finally got her HEA. Looking forward to reading it again in its final version!!!
This book is emotionally overwhelming for me. Touched a bit close to home. Shows you how deceitfulness can ruin lives. People with their secrets and untold truths just got out of hand in this book.
small towns where everyone knows everything but Ellie didn't find out about Graces secret..come on. I can see Ellie's secret not being found out because no one knew except Stefan's mother. even she didn't keep her mouth closed totally before she died. I think it was wrong how Ellie's mom found out. Ellie should have told her.
The book is very good. At 1st I was thinking really another "she ran off book"...and the man trying to get her back after so many years..was just too close to the 1st book. But as I read on it was apparent this was very different in a lot of ways.
As for simon being a virgin at 31 , you got me again C.S., I just don't believe it..lol
I loved the Ellie and Stefan story. They were soul mates but with the secrets it was destined to be doomed. I can relate to that. How his look, his voice, his touch could just melt her ..and the same for him. Truly heartbreaking that everything was ruined over decept. And when he died it just Brooke my heart. He deserved so much more.
As for forgiveness its not as crazy as one might think , on Ellie's part I think yes she should have been and everyone did forgive her your just running off. As your Stefan and Gracy , I can see why she couldn't forgive them or move past it . That's really hurtful. He should have told her if he loved her so much and as for her best friend she had many chances to tell her and still didn't . to me that's no it a best friend. Even though Ellie forgave her, I'm not so sure I could have.
Foe Stefan to walk away in the 1st place was wrong, couldn't he tell when he came back that she didn't want to be touched that something was wrong ? and why did his mother not , being the adult, talk Ellie into telling him? Him waiting to tell her about his child..wrong Gracy sleeping with Stefan wrong! lying all those years why? just say you made as mistake move on don't wait years, that makes it worse.ugh!
But for the outcome. I think Ellie meeting Simon ,which at 1st he kin of crept mine out. I found him strange with the I want to touch you but you can't touch me..too serial killer like for Me. And what guy can lay in a bed naked with a woman who is never had sex, touch her like that and not want to have sex. He really gave mine doubts as to what was up with this dude? But he ended up a great guy and when he ask her to marry him before he knew she was pregnant was just a bonus to the story.
when I read the end of the book what the author wrote about abuse ,rape towards women, men, and children i shed a few tears. Its so heartfelt and wonderful she can write this book, reach out to people in a small way that can help others ,their are no words to describe what it made me feel. I think its exceptional writing and the few mistakes I ran across in the book can absolutely be forgiven.
This is a 5 star read. I recommend it highly if you don't mind a lot of sex, a bit of except and a lot of heartbreak.
I was given this book for a review on my blog which I will be doing . http://thereaderhaven.wordpress.com The Book Junkie. check it out for other books you might find interesting to read.
Have you ever made a decision in the past that haunts you to this day?
An event in your life changes you so completely. Where do the people you hold close fall or fail you?
Did Ellie make the right choices?
The book starts with a very volatile view of Ellie and Stefan’s relationship. They both use sarcasm to the extreme to protect their hearts and their secrets. As I first began reading it was difficult to get past this, it seemed to me that they were just mean to each other. I felt I may actually be “too old” for this book. Their verbal exchanges and use of sex as a weapon/manipulation are a bit angry. But I now believe this is a cultural representation of the younger generation today. In the beginning there was not enough history leading up to the aftermath for a reader to have context. BUT KEEP READING!
“As if I needed another reminder of what a failure I was at being a daughter and a friend.” “….go, leave, you don’t really want me, I don’t believe you love me…”
Ellie really does hate herself and the choices she has made. She could not live with the choice she made and that ultimately drove away the people she loved and herself from them.
Her therapist sucked, regardless of what Ellie says. Stefan was right to say “you should ask for your money back”. This was the way Ellie “dealt” with her issues? Why was Stefan such a jerk that year after the incident? Why didn’t he understand? And there were more than a few instances that I thought Ellie was just a b.... and these are just rhetorical questions open for interpretation.
While this book is extremely heavy it also is sweet and endearing and has some great lighter moments that really make you smile. “Please tell me you do not man-scape!”
“…He planned to make love to me and I wasn’t sure my feelings were on par with his.” Oh Ellie, why must you lie to yourself?
Best scene: “One specific, profound moment isn’t what you are supposed to spend your life looking for Ellie. You should include a billion different instances; ones that include all the people who matter most to you and only you. Those moments should be the ones you etch into your mind and think about – not the ones where things were bad or didn’t go the way you thought they should. The only moments that matter are those that you give importance to.”
There were a few inconsistencies in the story line/dialogue and some grammatical errors but the end result is so worth it. KEEP READING!
The one man couldn’t be the man Ellie needed – he should have known and he shouldn’t have left. The other knew without even asking.
It is so easy to hide behind a sarcastic façade because the slices of truth behind the sarcasm are too difficult to deal with.
When you don’t want to turn the page and when you go back and reread scenes over and over and are so overcome with emotion... If you can identify with anything I have just written then read C.S. Janey’s debut novel, Surrender To You
“One of Stefan’s favorite things to do involved turning me into a puddle of want.”
4 Stars|Goodreads|Amazon Meg's Review: Stephen, Simon and Elizabeth. This story threw my emotions to the wolves. I was so frustrated and irritated at some points and at others just felt the hurt emanating from the pages.
C.S. Janey weaves a story that wraps itself up and delivers it to you in an emotional package. I was given the book in exchange for an honest review and I am happy to deliver that. I start fit at around 10 at night and stayed up till the wee hours finishing it because it was that engaging. I couldn't stand to not finish it.
Elizabeth goes through quote the journey. This novel isn't insta-love, which I am not a fan of. That I was thankful for. Elizabeth hasn't had the easiest life. At all. She has her heartbroken even after years of change. Her old life it rearing its head and honestly I thought it was for the good. Stefan and Elizabeth have alive that is palpable. But it's also a love that is in the past. Until it isn't. The author weaves a story around these to that is unique and interesting. There are tinges of a love triangle and angst up to the eyeballs. They loved each other, yet they hated each other. It was a back and forth that I couldn't tear myself from.
Then there is Simon. I can honestly say I wasn't his biggest fan. Not because he wasn't a great guy, because he was. He was wonderful and perfect. Just because I was holding out for Stefen. I just loved him.
Then the story ripped me apart and I was left mouth wide open. I liked the ending. It was a HEA. It caught me by surprise, but it was overall a great novel. Can't wait to read the next in the series. Synopsis: Stefan never thought she'd come home... Simon never expected to fall in love with her... Asking her out had been impulsive, but suddenly the Doctor is falling for this woman who makes him ache like nobody else ever has and he's determined to make her his.

**Note: This is 1st in series but can be read as standalone; later novels are about secondary characters.**
Ellie gets a phone call that changes her life. She had run away years earlier from her tiny hometown to the city, away from the memories that haunted her. When childhood friend and one time love Stefan calls to tell her that his mother is dying and wants to say goodbye, Ellie must decide if she is ready to put aside old wounds and finally confront the man who turned her away years ago.
Stefan has loved Ellie since they were kids and thought they would always be together. When Stefan goes abroad to study and Ellie is attacked, things change between the two of them and neither are willing to work together for the relationship. When Ellie runs, the love to hate relationship between she and Stefan begins and they start to blame one another for the failure of their relationship. Can Stefan convince Ellie to return and finally give him a chance, and to come clean about what really happened all those years ago?
Enter Simon…Simon is a thirty seven year old doctor. He is single, hot, and….a virgin. When he meets Ellie there is an immediate attraction between the two and he begins to pursue her. Unfortunately at this point Ellie has decided to take a chance on Stefan, finally telling him the truth. But Stefan has been keeping a major secret of his own all of these years, will it turn out that his secret is the one that will break them up forever?
Surrender to you took a whole lot of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. There were some major plot twists that really keep you on the edge of your seat and I read this is one sitting. I found myself rooting for one guy at the beginning but then I felt betrayed, so I was then rooting for the other guy by the end. There were several times when I just wanted to yell at Ellie though and tell her “it’s not your fault!!! You should not be ashamed!!!” because that seemed to be the source of most of her personal strife, and it turns out that those who did not know her secret did not judge her and immediately understood. It seems that she wouldn’t have lost all of those years having run away if she had been honest from the beginning.
Surrender To You was a well written, fast, easy read. While I don’t usually care much for the “instalove” kind of situations, I did find the storyline kept my interest and it kept me guessing. It is a solid four-star effort. Some of the angst was a little overboard, and there were some things that were a little hard to believe (namely Simon’s sexual status!) however I did like the happy ending and felt at peace with the way everything was wrapped up. I will definitely check out more of Ms. Janey’s work!
Surrender To You pulled me in like no other book I have read! Ellie's heartbreak and Stefan trying to win back her heart just pulled me in and made me feel like I was experiencing it first hand. I could feel Ellie's pain and heartache then turn around and feel her love for Stefan even when she was trying her best to fight the overwhelming pull of attraction she had when ever they were close.
When Stefan showed up wanting to fight for Ellie's love I was right there rooting him along. They had so much passion for each other it left me feeling emotionally raw and just as broken as they were.
Ellie's story touched me the most. To go through something as horrible as she did, you cant help but cry for her, for her past and the ever consuming pain that seemed to seep into her whole life and take over. The pain of not being able to share her secret and because of that it eating her away piece by piece until it tore her love away and had her running from the only one she loved and the place she called home, that had no longer anything there for her.
When she finally had to tell her secret I cried with her and was hoping she would finally get the acceptance and love she so much deserved and for a few pages I though that was the case, But when it takes a whole new twist with lies and betrayal I felt for her all over again. To open herself up just to get shattered again was horrible. I felt like my heart was on a roller coaster of love, pain, and anger.
When Simon came in the story I finally thought, "OK, this is her happily ever after take it and RUN!" The ending threw me for a loop. Yet again, I found myself crying as I turned the pages wanting to see what was next. I truly felt broken during everyone's heartbreak.
I loved this book! It was one of the best books I have ever read and am so glad to have been able to thanks to C.S. Janey. This was the first book from her I have read and well now I'm hooked!
I was pleasantly surprised with this read and in fact a little taken by it. When I finally finished, I turned off my iPad and let out a soft sigh; not really sure why I did. Perhaps it was because the book left an impression, a mark, a trace, a brand. I didn’t think I would have this kind of reaction. I felt like I needed to cry; not because I was sad, but rather happy and proud of the ending.
At first, the book was a little hard to get into. I wasn’t a fan of Elizabeth; she rubbed me the wrong way, and I didn’t like Stephan too much either. But as the story progressed, I became engrossed and trapped within. The love story between Elizabeth and Stefan is not your average “teeny- bopper” romance. In fact, it was rather tragic; filled with despair, heart-ache, betrayal, and lies. I deeply felt that they were made for each other and damn, I got suckered right into their little love affair.
Then, Dr. Simon Worthington comes strolling in like “hot stuff”. I mean, I could just feel the sex-appeal radiating off of him..from a book!! Holy smokes, I was a “goner”. I never thought in my wildest dreams that the game “Simon Says” could be so erotic and head-spinning. Right, when I was on Stefan’s team, Simon pulls this move! Simon is a tremendous character in the story. He is genuine, understanding, nurchuring, and just a good and humble man.
Overall, this was a great debut from C.S. Janey and I look forward to reading her future work. I highly recommend this and mark this on my list as “Approved”.
This book is a standalone, however, the other books in the series have characters that were mentioned in Surrender to You.
I have to admit that at first the book had caught my attention and I was getting into it, however, I found myself in the middle just wanting the book to get on with it. However, towards the end of the book I found myself really caught up in it and didn't want to put it down. I was quite upset that the author didn't spend more time with Elle and Simon's romance, I felt that there was more emphasis on the relationship between Elle and Stefan.
Overall, this book was a good read, I found myself surprised during certain parts of the book. The reader sympathizes with Elle, the main character of the novel, who was raped and had an abortion after she realized what had occurred. Ashamed and feeling alone, she started to alienate her boyfriend Stefan, who eventually left her. Elle fled to another a city, trying to start a new life.
5 years later, when bad news made her come home, Elle reconnected with Stefan. However, realizing that things could never be the same and learning some news that altered the way she felt about Stefan, Elle needed to move on. In walks Simon, the charming doctor who won her heart with his need for love and his honorable ways. It was a battle for Elle's heart and true love came through after all ...
Overall, I really enjoyed this book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I love a book that grabs me and this one did from the prologue. I was initially going to rate this as a 4-4.5 star read but a book that keeps me awake at night after finishing it, that I am still thinking about a day later, that has a swoonworthy H (Stefan) and totally guts me is so worth 5 stars.
Secrets and lies kept Stefan and Elizabeth apart for 5 years. Stefan loves (yes still after all this time) Elizabeth with all his heart and never moved on from Elizabeth. Elizabeth never really moved on from Stefan either. Family circumstances bring them together again and gave them a second chance. From then on the book was a total emotional rollercoaster, I could NOT put it down.
I am not going to give anything away, you need to read this. Now! A beautifully told story, brilliant writing that just flows so well with no editing issues. It had me smiling, Stefan, reading with bated breath, more delish Stefan, swooning (over Stefan again) and then Ms Janey totally bloody gutted me with a twist I never in a million years saw coming! It was hot, sweet, emotional and heartbreaking and I cried ugly tears.
This book had it all for me, including the must have HEA, a romance is not a romance without a HEA. I NEED the next book now!
I received this book in exchange of an honest review... And I am so grateful!!! Amazing, heartbreaking, addictive, hot, sweet and really emotional!!! One of the best romance I read!!! Really well written with wonderful characters, a heartbreaking story and this twist....this twist that is so terribly surprising even shocking!! God i loved that book!!! I went into a rainbow of emotions! A roller coaster of feelings!! I think i am still crying!! Addictive and powerful this book touches you to the core!!! A MUST READ!!! TWO THUMBS UP!!! C.S. Janey i think i adore you!!!!
For a debut novel, C.S. Janey's Surrender to You will blow you out of the water. I love this book; the unfolding story, how each character interacts with the others. A perfectly blended tale of heartache, loss, sorrow, regret, love, and forgiveness, Surrender to You will have you reaching for the tissues - often, but also make you laugh and fall in love with the characters and their story.

Well, this story frustrated me. I didn't like Elizabeth, even when I found out her issues. I did feel sorry for her when I found out and even kind of understood her reasoning, but not enough to really like her. She was such an unpleasant selfish bitch, her reasoning was so flawed. Even when she nearly made me understand her reasoning, I would soon change my mind and think you silly person. (That's being kind). Maybe she needed to get away from her memories and fears and that explains the 6 year radio silence. Maybe her feeling were never as deep as she maintained, that's the only real explanation I can come to. The author did such a good a job of writing Stefan, he was gorgeous, I just felt so sorry for that guy wasting his time pining for her. I totally understand why he acted the way he did, so her resentment of him was always unreasonable to me. I am just glad he had somewhat of a life during those 6 missing years and created some good memories. So not totally wasting his time. I didn't really understand where the author was coming from, I mean their reunion was fantastic in the end , there relationship developed, the sex was fantastic, then she went in a whole different direction. It worked out I suppose but I didn't see the need. Not a straight forward romance I guess Elizabeth was so unforgiving, he had enough of a fight to get her to talk to him so I am not surprised he delayed with the rest. Also bottom line he did nothing wrong, he did not act badly in this, it was the third party who lied (no spoilers). So, Simon was a lovely guy too, but what a weird twist. I know there are people out there with believes like his, but this guy was so hot, cute and clever it just didn't seem believable at his age. As I said I know it happens so I have to accept it. She had a different relationship with Simon in that she would accept things from with him that she would have shouted Stefan down for. I suppose that is also realistic in relationships, certain people push our buttons. I didn't think that Elizabeth was particularly worthy of Simon and I was already invested in Stefan but I guess when true love hits you cant argue. I had a good cry at the end few chapters. Oh I don't know, if I had liked Elizabeth as a person I may have felt differently. If there was going to be a second story with Stefan and a certain character in the book who I cant mention for fear of spoilers I would be much happier........I was frustrated .
I picked up this book during my 12 Days of Christmas event, where I ask Indie authors to pitch me their books for purchase and review. I read all the samples, and this one grabbed me because of the excellent writing style. But, let's move on to what's inside.
From a Reader's Perspective: I was really caught up in the relationships in this novel. First, there's the love between Stefan and Elizabeth. She's confused, angry, and hurt by everything that passed between them through much of the beginning of the story. I saw her grow as a person during the tale, and that's really what a main character should do over the course of a novel. Plot was awesome, and pacing was spot on. I never felt like the story dragged.
I did tear up a time or two, but I refuse to tell you why because it'll spoil the story. There are a couple of twists and turns I didn't see coming, but I enjoyed the way they were woven in. No insta love here, which is great. In the last 1/3 of the novel, there's a little bit where, if you aren't paying attention to the timeline, it seems like things are rushed; but, overall, there's a good progression of the different relationships developing. I could totally identify with Elizabeth, and I even enjoyed the tension between her and her best friend.
One thing that bugged me was how Elizabeth kept talking about how not buff Stefan is, but how he's still good-looking. It happened enough that I noted it. Other than that, the story was great and the characters felt real.
From an Editor's Perspective: There were a number of errors, but they were mostly wrong word usage or dropped words. It wasn't anything that tripped me up too badly, but it'll lose the book half a star for editing. A good proofreader could clean the MS up in a few days.
Rating: + 1 Star for making me tear up + 1 Star for great twists and turns + 1 Star for the lack of insta love + .5 Star for friendships I could believe were real - .5 Star for the repeated rebuffing of Stefan's physique + .5 Star for punctuation, sentence construction, and writing - .5 Star for dropped words and incorrect usage Overall: A solid 4 out of 5 stars. Recommended for those who love a romance with angst, or those who wish for a well-written read.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Ellie and Stefan were sweethearts. Destined to be together until one fateful night that changed everything. Ellie and Stefan pushed each other away and haven’t seen each other in five long years. Finally Ellie is coming home. Stefan is ecstatic to have a second chance with Ellie, but will their secrets tear them apart. Stefan accepted and dealt with Ellie’s secret. Ellie is not so accepting of Stefan’s secret, especially with the way she found out. Enter sexy doctor, Simon. Will Ellie be able to forgive Stefan? Or will she start a new life with Simon?
This book had been on my wish list for quite some time. I’m so glad I finally had a chance to read this wonderful story. It was so very emotionally charged. I felt all the emotions the characters felt. I felt the heartache that both Ellie and Stefan felt. I wanted to cry when they pushed each other away in the beginning. I wanted to jump for joy when they seemed to be coming back together. I understood Ellie’s misgivings, you can’t always go back to the way things were. People change. I was totally floored by the twist at the end. Overall, this was a wonderfully well written story that I couldn’t put down. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
There was some hot sexy scenes, and two very different male leads, both of whom were sexy in their own right. Couldn't quite pin Simon down, though, as to whether he was truly a beta male, or an alpha coming into his own. (I prefer beta males, myself.)
This book had a lot more angst than I normally like, and I thought Ellie/Elle/Elizabeth was being a bitch quite often. But she had plenty of un-reasoning reasons for acting like she did. As often as I wanted to slap her for treating the people around her horribly, by the end I also was able to understand that I couldn't understand what she was going through, because I can't really relate to her story. I've never gone through what she was going through. I say "un-reasoning" reasons, because she wasn't able to process a huge event in her life, and reason just flew right out the window.
So in that sense, I came away from this book with a lot better understanding and compassion for
I had a lot of things figured out well before the end, although there was one big surprise that I'm not going to talk about further. I'm just very glad that my life so far has had none of the drama that Elizabeth went through.
** I received this book in exchange for an honest review ** This book was amazing! It had more twists and turns than Lombard Street and kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what direction we were headed in next! The characters were easily relatable and made you want to root for them, until another twist arose and then you started to root for a whole new set of characters! I loved the plot, the twists and the ending that I never saw coming and would never have imagined, however, it worked really well with to end the book. You will laugh, cry and scratch your head the whole time you read this book and still never get the whole plot figured out. This book was really good and I highly recommend that you read it when you have nothing else to do, because once you start, you will not want to stop!!!

Synopsis: Elizabeth never knew she’d feel so strongly for two men. Torn between the love of an ex she pushed away in the past and the love of a new man that makes her feel alive again, she must make a decision that will ultimately result in a broken heart for one of them. When tragedy strikes, will she be confident in her final decision?
In the beginning I felt a little frustrated, seemingly dropped into the reuniting of Elizabeth and Stefan without knowing anything about their background story or even the characters themselves. I wasn't even sure who I should feel sorry for, because I didn't know how they had broken up, or why. But as the story progressed, the details did come together, and the twist in the story when Simon enters the picture was very unexpected. The novel is filled with emotional roller coaster moments, and the sex scenes were all well written.
That's it, I don't know what else to say. . . . Well, this book is filled with surprises (understatement of the year). First, I have to admit that I didn't think I'd like the protagonist. I'm tired of the story of the innocent girl who is torn between two guys and just can't make up her mind because she loves them both, blah blah blah. But this author totally sold me the story and the characters. I ached, cried and smiled along with them. The writing was very good and convincing. Simon, I want you to be my boyfriend! I love you! And the confession he makes to Ellie... OMG! I sure didn't see it coming. ** speechless ** Stefan, I liked you and I hated you. Couldn't you just come up with a better with to tell Ellie your secret? Though, in the end you were a good guy.
I first have to say that this is such a great book. It was really like reading a breath of fresh air. This story isnt a typical love story. I found it to be more about finding yourself.
Elisabeth and Stefan have been friends since they were kids, when they fell in love neither ever believed that there would be a force strong enough to tear them apart. When tragedy strikes and Elisabeth runs Stefan makes it his mission to bring her back home. When Elisabeth returns home they both realize that they aren't the same people who fell in love so long ago.
This book has several twists and turns that will leave you crying and feeling the raw emotion that C.S. Janey did such a good job writing. I can't wait to read more from this author.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I just finished Surrender to You and I really couldn't put it down from start to finish!! I really commend C.S. Janey for a truly unique storyline that kept me guessing the whole way through. This book was sweet, sexy and at times heartbreaking. I really don't want to say too much more in fear of giving anything away! I urge readers not to read any spoilers and go into this story with a blank slate!!
Thanks so much to C.S. Janey for the opportunity to read this book and I look forward to more in this series!
Wow. I just finished this book and I want to say how much I loved it. It broke the romance novel rules and is better because it did. I am so impressed. Early on I was not sure that I liked Elizabeth, but as I grew to understand her I loved her more.
Anything else I say would be a spoiler. I love so many of the characters and it turned out perfectly.
Can a book be heart wrenching and happy?
This one was everything and more. I am in love with Simon he is everything a man should be.
Oh, yeah -- I was given this book in exchange for a review. I am not a writer or in any way connected to the publishing industry.
This was a pretty good book. It took a few unexpected twist and turns I didn't quite love so....I was expecting a love triangle book but the first half of the book was focused on the h Ellie and Stefan and then suddenly the second love interest Simon was introduced. It became an almost insta love for me after that. I didn't really believe in the story then. The book spent too much time focused on Ellie and Stefan reconciling that I became invested in them. That was my biggest problem with the book. I did come to like the idea of Ellie and Simon at the end but I wasn't completely convinced.
