Did not finish. The writing style, story, nor characters worked for me. It was just awful in my opinion. Felt all over the place. Not sure what anyone would find interesting about the heroine. She appeared loopy.

This book had a lot of threads started that never went anywhere. It seemed like the author was making it up as she went along, with no thought as to a cohesive storyline.
Daniel was a creep. Apparently, he became a gynecologist to troll for sexual partners. Gross. He's all about eating healthy, until he's not. Then it seems like all his healthy eating preaching had no purpose. It was little things like this that get introduced, only to be abandoned later, that drove me crazy. Daniel has some kind of horrible past that is never fully explained, but it seems to include multiple personalities and an extreme case of douchebaggery. There are a lot of sex scenes in this book. Too many. They got boring a repetitive after awhile.
Sofia was suffering from a major case of TSTL syndrome. After stalking Daniel at the grocery store, she decides the best way to make her interest known is by make a gynecologist appointment with him. Who does that!?! How about asking him on a date? They do have a date, where he insults her and she runs away crying (this happens several times). But she just keeps coming back because who doesn't like a creepy gynecologist who treats them like crap? After a few times of her crying/running off, I started hoping she'd get hit by a bus. She has a "job" taking care of her ill grandmother. But after the beginning of the book, she never spends any time with her grandmother and I guess the reader is just supposed to forget her. It gets mentioned (completely out of nowhere) that Sofia has 6 brothers and sisters, but I guess they don't visit grandma, or their sister, or want to come to her wedding?
Seth and Dara are supporting characters who are given very little personality. Seth is a con man/loving brother/sleaze bag who wants to sleep with Sofia/broken little boy. I'm not sure who he was since his character kept changing and was never fleshed out properly. Dara is an obese Romanian woman who transforms into a goddess by losing her mumu and waxing her eyebrows. Again, she serves little purpose in the story.
And of course Sofia manages to get pregnant, despite the fact that she's on the pill and he's had a vasectomy. One minute he's calling her a pig whose cheating on him, the next they are buying baby clothes? I have whiplash.
This does end in a cliffhanger, but I won't be reading further. Truthfully, this should have been a DNF for me, but once I start a book, I always finish it.

This series was recommended to me by a friend who loved them, so of course I had to read them and I'd enjoyed the author's work before.
They were a captivating read. The storyline was interesting and intriguing. It had twists that had me speculating but it also had realism mixed with the fiction. The absolute winner for me were the "love" scenes!
Azure can sure write a good hot & steamy scene! And many of them at that!
Sometimes I got annoyed with the character's actions, but that's all part of a good book and they lead to further developments in the story, so I got over my bitching!
I'm really diggin' Azure Boone's work and I highly recommend you give the Broken Series a bash!

Sofia Parsons was dared by her best friend to go see a gynecologist that she had a cruch on. As much as she wanted to back out "she wouldn't".. The first time she saw him they were shopping at the same store and all she could think wss ( in miss Azures word) SWEET BABY JESUS..

The first time Sofia walked in Daniels office things were she was nervous and I think a tad scared. Daniel did all he could to calm her. She ended up leaving without even having the exam. they met again at the super market and he recognize her right away. Once again Sofia got tongue tied and inbarrassed.
This is a very exoticstory that makes u laugh, cry, sad & happy. I felt so many different feelings while reading this. A MUST READ..

I wanted to give this book more stars but it just didn't happen. Some of the things in this story seems unrealistic to me. I couldn't put my finger on it but the book just didn't flow well.
Sofia was very persistence sbout showing her love for Daniel. He had a broken childhood and he suppressed a lot of emotions becaue of it, which in turn made Sofia have to try even harder to reach him. The sex scences were hot but there was to many.I was a litrke disturbed about how far Daniel took Sofia when it came to sex. Hard stuff just happened without warm-up and she just took it cause she loved him. So naive. The book was ok, but I will buy the next book just so I can see what happened to Daniel and Sopia.

This was a free read. I was pleasantly surprised with the first book and was happy to find a free read that appeared to be well done. It started off great and then book two definitely lagged and book three just seemed very strange. The character development seemed stilted and inconsistent. I wasn't really sure what to believe about the main characters. I really didn't understand the inclusion of the secondary characters unless they are a lead in to future books and therefore the subplot seemed underdeveloped. The sex scenes began to feel duplicated and the promise of some nice BDSM never really materialized.

I loved the first book, but then it went downhill. There was a lot in this series that I know is not possible with the couple's height difference. Some things were repetitive or just there to push the story along. Some didn't fit at all. I wanted to give this series a better rating, so I waited and thought about it. But, not matter how I thought about it, it seemed worse. I did finish it to see how it ended, but even that was disappointing... a cliffhanger after 3 books? Oh well.

I had a hard time getting into this set of books and staying interested. I like erotica books, but this one seemed to have sex scenes thrown in at the strangest times. During a dinner party because Daniel was ticked off at Sofia giving attention to his brother, in the middle of arguments. Maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea.
I also had a problem with Sofia's low self-esteem being played on by what seemed like everyone.

Unexpected Surprise...
This was another Amazon freebie that surely couldn't be that good right? Wrong!!! The story was great, the writing was great and the characters were amazing. An unexpected treat filled with crazy, steamy, hotter than hot love scenes. Daniel and Sofia are right up there with my other favorites. My only complaint is of course, where it ended.

This series just didn't do it for me. The characters and plot were good, just took too long to deliver. The ending was bad! After reading the whole series I was dying to see the darkness in the doc. This never came.

OMG I can't wait until next book, it is getting so good. For a man who had a trouble past, and nice girl changes him for the better. It's getting exciting to see if his brother did what the police said he did.
