One fails, one runs away, one rejects his future, and one maintains hope even when it is hopeless. Alone, they are too weak to fight the demons they face, but together, there is a small chance of survival- if they can trust each other long enough.

Everyone expected Pond, the easy going charmer, to be in the middle of chaos since he thrived on it, but Marcus, the young leader of a dying Tong family, was stunned when his world turned upside down by the arrival of two transfer students. Tony Yardley, a foster kid the system couldn’t place, wasn’t looking for friends since he didn’t stay in one place long enough to make them and he just needed to keep this new placement long enough to save some money. Nika March had a job to do, and he wasn’t about to let “feelings” interfere with it.

In an uneasy alliance, the season of storms arrives as the four winds collide.

When I was three years old I lugged around a scruffy leather briefcase filled with pads of yellow lined paper and well-chewed pencils. They claim if you asked me what was in it, I'd say my book.

Panda Girl is not my first book. It is actually my 5th book, just the first one published. Book #2, Four Winds, is under contract currently as well.

Instead of an old briefcase, yellow legal pads, and chewed pencils, I have a keyboard with worn keys. But I am still write... that's what writers do! ;)

Oh the works I've not written yet... can't wait for you to read them and let me know what you think!

My daughter's review:
Four Winds is one of the best young adult books you can get. Jerjonji flawlessly created an intriguing mystery that I couldn't put down. The story starts and continues with almost no information but it just heightens the mystery and makes me want to figure out more. Also, unlike quite a few authors, Jerjonji is able to end the story in a satisfactory way, so that no one can complain!

Four Winds is an engaging read. The reader is drawn into an engaging journey with four characters haunted by nightmarish childhoods. We follow these characters as young adults, discovering the strange and often dangerous alliances they make, not only for survival, but for a sense of family.
By means of a carefully paced, sensitive narrative, the roots of the nightmares are slowly revealed. jerjonji deftly manages the balance required to expose an evil while not exploiting it for sensationalism. She illuminates an important topic, as current as today’s headlines, by creating captivating characters, and bringing the reader along on their quest for hope and healing.
