Another wonderful story in the series, and there must be at least one more in the cupboard...sorry KC's laptop...whatever!! 4.5 stars and
This one does tie up a lot of loose ends, but leaves me with yet another cliffhanger...what is happening to Sean?? I have my own ideas, but I desperately need to know
Hallelujah, Praise the Lord, Josh and Chris finally get it together!! Josh is now studying to be a Doctor of Pediatrics, and has a long road ahead of him. Chris is still having problems with those completely stupid parents of his, but his gran steps up to the plate and threatens to disinherit them...will that stop them
, your guess is as good as mine. Evan and Daniel are still living in the house where sex reigns supreme...it must be the water, Chris moves in and he and Josh circle around each other like the proverbial Cowboys
and Indians
in one of those Westerns from way back when...yes, they seem to like (or is that love Josh?) each other, but lots of stuff is going on in the background including a completely cuckoo ex boyfriend of Josh's 
and the fact that Chris is getting threatening letters and phone calls AND someone has taken to vandalising the property that they live in.Meanwhile Sean and Michael are in Montpellier in France (as will I be in a couple of weeks time, so yes I'll be paying the Place de la Comédie a visit) as part of their languages course. They're really enjoying it and when they come back for Xmas, they invite all the guys over for Valentines Day, and a wonderful time is had by all, and that's really where Josh and Chris realise that they're in it for the long haul.
Right, I'll leave my review here. This is my last KC Wells book for now, although I know there are others in the pipeline, so I'm going to be a little down in the dumps for a while.

Josh & Chris' story is the third in the Learning to Love series and is pretty much similar to the earlier books - lovely characters, sweet romance, lots of sex and some drama.
Sharing a house are the couple from the first two books - Michael & Sean and Evan & Daniel - plus Josh and Chris. They all make an appearance in this book as they gather to support Josh and Chris but also have their own story lines.
Chris is still doing community service for his part in an attack on Michael. But because of the forgiving nature of all these boys/men and because he testified against the others and outed himself at the trial, he has been welcomed into the home. He is still struggling with his sexuality as his parents have threatened to cut him off. He is still a virgin but has strong feelings for Josh. Believing these feelings could surely not be returned, he starts dating another man.
Josh has put his nursing career on hold to study medicine. He has strong feelings for Chris and has yearned for him for a long time. Everyone, including his father, are aware of it, expect Chris.
What I enjoy in this series is the open love and affection shown by these men. They are truly a family, offering love and support to each other. They are very physically demonstrative about their love and also quite vocal. They are not afraid to let each other know how much they care and share feelings (of course, accept for Josh and Chris with each other because that would be too easy!). I like the blend of friendship, romance, sex and drama.
The sex is interesting because in some ways it greatly contrasts with the characters of the men - just because the men are so sweet and lovely, it doesn't always mean the sex is gentle and romantic. Daniel and Evan in the epilogue are a prime example. They also don't seem to require much privacy and with their high sex drives, there always seems to be someone having sex while the others can hear.
What I don't like so much is the total overuse of endearments - sweetie, honey, love (here is Australia "Love" is an endearment my grandmother would use, it isn't romantic) and some of the dialogue has a slightly unnatural feel to it. I just can't imagine men speaking to each other like that in real life. Here is where I suspend worrying about reality and just think what nice guys they are! I also think the marriage thing is a bit overdone with ALL these really young men making this commitment so early.
This book does contain some violent acts so we get a real contrast between the sweet loving and the violent abuse. It is handled well and it is good to see that the character undergo appropriate therapy and have support to recover.
The ending leaves a few things open so hopefully another book won't be too far away. I would like to find out what is going on with Sean (I have my suspicions) and it would also be nice to see the character of James re-introduced. James is the guy who was dating Chris and seems so lovely. When Chris breaks up with him he is so nice about it and encourages Chris to talk to Josh. I would like him to have a happy ending too.
Overall I think I enjoyed this book slightly more than the others in the series, perhaps because I knew what to expect in terms of the writing style.

Three books in and I am still really enjoying these boys. Everything I liked about the first two stories is ramped up in this one, which picks up right after the prior book. Chris now living in the house with Josh and the other boys and the trial is behind him. Josh, who has been interested in Chris since the day they met, would like to see their friendship progress, but wants Chris to be the one to make the first move. Josh is afraid that Chris would feel obligated to him based on all the support he has given him over the past months and doesn't want that kind of relationship.
Chris is coming to terms with being out as a gay man. His coming out was not all on his terms and has caused problems with his family and has made Chris the object of outside threats. Now, living in the house, he has felt Josh pull away from him a bit. He would like nothing more than to be with him, but Chris has never been with another man, and is insecure. Convinced that the beautiful, sweet Josh would never want to date him when he has so many other men around (including his ex) Chris begins to date someone else.
KC Wells really makes these two work for it, but once they get together their troubles only gets worse. Threats against both of them begin to escalate, involving the rest of the house mates. Michael and Sean are doing their year abroad and are away for most of the story, but still play a big part in supporting their friends. Evan and Daniel are newly married and exploring their new D/s relationship. Josh's father is still a part of the story, and the boys find a few other unexpected allies as tensions increase. After the end of this book, with hints dropped as to what is to come, I am eagerly awaiting the fourth installment.

I'll make this short and sweet. K.C. Wells has done it again. Josh and Chris start out the book longing for each other but waiting for the other to make the first move. And it is presented in a way that makes sense. This book is just brimming with emotions. You have the tender romance between the main couple as they discover that their feelings are returned and build a relationship. But in some ways my favorite part of the book is friendship between Sean, Michael, Evan, Daniel, Josh & Chris. They stand together against everything thrown at them. If one of the couples is having a problem their friends step in to offer understanding and encouragement. I hope that she will be writing more about these characters in the future.

This is the third installment in the 'Learning to Love' series and although Michael, Sean, Evan, and Daniel are featured and integral, this is the story of Josh and Chris. Two young men who manage to take miscommunication to a whole new level in their pursuit of love and happiness. Their story follows the same heartwarming sweetness that the other couples had with a little bit of drama thrown in to stir things up.
Josh moved into the house the end of book two as he got accepted to medical school, and wants to become a pediatric physician. He's been single for over a year since things ended with his ex and being around the two madly in love couples in the house reminds him that he wants what they have and he isn't willing to settle for less. He is very attracted to Chris, but since being the shoulder the younger man needed during the trial, Josh doesn't want Chris to feel obligated to go out with him, so he's not saying a word about his feelings.
Chris has had a pretty tough year. In testifying against the others in the trial for assault against Michael, Chris inadvertently outed himself and life has gotten a whole lot harder. Luckily, Michael and the gang invited him to move in, because he would have been the victim of a hate crime himself if he'd stayed in the dorm. But now he's dealing with his parents threatening to disown him and an unknown someone sending him threatening letters. Life is never dull around that house!
I really liked Chris and Josh. Theirs was a more simplistic coming together that made it more powerful in my eyes. Not to mention, I think I liked these two characters the best out of the six young men, which made seeing them get their happy ever after even better. I have no idea whether this is the end for this series as I think there could be more to tell. I will be grateful for these three and be happy if another couple is introduced.

Josh met the boys in his role as an ER nurse after Michael’s attack and has since become good friends with the group. When he makes the decision to return to University and further his studies he becomes the newest member of the house.
The completion of Michael’s trial comes as a relief to everyone but especially Chris. Although initially one of Michael’s attackers his situation proved complicated and he was only ever involved through fear. He had important information pertaining to the trial that ensured Adam and his cronies were convicted and in return he wasn’t sent to prison for his part. When it becomes apparent that these events have caused Chris to become the punch bag for some of Adams friends he is offered the final spare room in the house.
Josh and Chris have become very good friends in the run up to the trial and Chris has come to depend on Josh heavily. With that all now in the past Josh realises that his feelings run much deeper but is worried that Chris only sees him as a friend that he can rely on in times of trouble. With that in mind Josh steps back and waits for Chris to really see him and make the first move. This backfires spectacularly and Chris finds himself with his first boyfriend.
Once again the rest of the boys rally to support Josh and convince him that all is not lost. If he really wants Chris he is going to have to fight for him finally let the other man know exactly how he feels.
Sean and Michael have left for France as part of their course and there is another wedding in the pipeline. There is never a dull moment in the house!
Whilst Josh is doing everything he can think of to win back Chris and prove they are perfect for each other someone outside the house is determined to cause trouble. Chris starts to get hate mail in the post and arrives home to find vandalism but the police hit a dead end with their investigations leaving everyone nervous and on edge.
To further complicate things Josh’s ex Eric makes a reappearance and not in a good way. His strange behaviour has Chris and Josh worried and the consequences of ignoring it for too long will have devastating results. Chris will have to fight to get his loveable and flirty boyfriends personality back.
The book leaves us with 3 different scenarios about 3 different couples and just a little bit of worry whilst waiting for book 4.

This is the 3rd book in the series. This is Chris and Josh's story. I think I enjoyed this book more than the other 2. I liked these characters better than the others. I just wish these books weren't so sappy. If I had to read "honey, love, sweetie" one more time I think my eyes might have rolled right out of my head. I love sex in books, but I don't care for how open these guys are with each other. I don't think normal friends would be like that. You don't invite a third person into your bed, for nothing sexual related and sleep buck ass naked.
As I have said in the other 2 books. These guys need some testosterone.
But K.C, must be doing something right, because I keep reading.

Overall, I thought that Chris and Josh were a slightly more realistic and grounded couple in this series than the first two couples. But let's face it, I felt like I was reading about a bunch of girls who should be braiding each other's hair while they gossip. Still a touch unrealistic, too much crying and group hugs/cuddles, and for being set in college, they never seem to be in classes.
Let me be clear…I LOVE KC Wells, she is one of my favorite authors and I loved pretty much everything I have read from her. This series is just TOO sugary sweet for me and unrealistic for me to buy into and believe. I highly recommend her other stories and I REALLY enjoyed her new Love Lessons Learned novel too.

I loved this book. I loved the unfolding relationship between Josh and Chris. K.C. likes to take her time letting a relationship develop and because of that, we get to know the characters and love them, and when they do eventually get together she takes the romance nice and slow too. It makes for a great story and a very sexy read. This is the third book in the series and unlike most other sequels that touch on the characters in previous books, K.C. makes them an integral part of the story, and that sets these books apart. Also, there is a bit of a cliffhanger here, so I am certainly waiting for more.

Chris Andrews and Josh Saunders got very close during the trial against the people who attacked Michael.
Josh has been attracted to Chris and Chris to him , but fear has not let them be honest with each other.
Josh and Chris have to learn to trust each other and once again be there for each other.
When things turn out to be really difficult they finally opened their eyes and get to know their feelings.
They are soul mates and love becomes what saves them.

Wow I made it to chapter 3 and just couldn't stomach the rest. The way these guys talk is not a reality of how men talk to eachother. Especially men who once thought themselves straight. Not even my gay friends speak the way these girls do... And enough with the crying!!

Josh and Chris have been dancing around each other for months, each waiting for the other to make the first move after both admit to themselves that they have feelings for each other. Michael, Sean, Evan, and Daniel finally advise each man individually to stop dancing around and let the other know how they feel. Josh and Chris finally give in and start a relationship that gets deeper and richer over time, despite the malicious actions of a stranger, and the constant threat from an unstable ex.
This is a beautiful character driven story that carries on the sometimes heartbreaking, but mostly heartwarming storyline from the first two books. The plot is seamlessly smooth, flowing from the first page to the last, with a backstory that keeps you centered without overwhelming you with unnecessary detail. The sex is tender, passionate, and VERY hot, without being overly graphic. The characters are very three dimensional, with hopes, dreams, fears, and faults that make them as real as anyone you might meet on the street. The author's writing style is simple, eloquent, crisp, concise, and renders a fabulous, enthralling,and glorious tale with a HEA ending that I absolutely loved and that kept me thinking about long after I finished the last page. If you're looking for a beautiful, loving story that is well worth your time, then I wholeheartedly recommend this book to you.

I admit that I had great expectations for this story considering how much I enjoyed the previous one and how complex Chris' character seemed to be. Thankfully, K.C. Wells delivered once again!
When I first met Jordan, I didn't think much about the role he would be playing in the series but after seeing him a few times more I became curioser and curioser. That also applied with Chris. His first impression on me wasn't the greatest one but slowly but surely I came to understand how complicated his situation was and deeply affected he was by it.
What I enjoyed most about this story was Chris' growth as an individual. Yes, I enjoyed how his relationship with Jordan developed, but I don't think that would have been such an enjoyable story for me without having Chris' journey of self-discovery and acceptance. I also liked that Jordan did some growing of his own too. Maybe not to the extent Chris did, but he did find his place in life and allowed himself the opportunity to live it as he wanted it.
Although the connection between Chris and Jordan took its time to deepen and strengthened, it was always present. With how candid their interactions were it was inevitable that their bond would lead to something more meaningful for both of them. It also helped that their attraction to each other remained a constant through all of it.
All in all, an emotional story that brought about two individuals that complemented each other and whose bond went beyond the physical.
When I first met Jordan, I didn't think much about the role he would be playing in the series but after seeing him a few times more I became curioser and curioser. That also applied with Chris. His first impression on me wasn't the greatest one but slowly but surely I came to understand how complicated his situation was and deeply affected he was by it.
What I enjoyed most about this story was Chris' growth as an individual. Yes, I enjoyed how his relationship with Jordan developed, but I don't think that would have been such an enjoyable story for me without having Chris' journey of self-discovery and acceptance. 3.5 for the series
I read this entire series back to back as almost one long book. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much had I not done it like that. Each individual book and its MCs were cute but the overall arc is what I enjoyed more. I have a soft spot for series that pull me into families of choice and this definitely did that. K.C. Wells has a certain knack for it which is why she is a favorite of mine. I can tell that this series was one of her earlier works. She has obviously grown a lot as a writer since, but her early work is still leagues above some things I've read by others. By the end of the series I truly believed these guys would be together as friends and family for life even though they were all so young to begin with.
I don't suggest any of these be read as standalones, I just don't think it would work, at least it wouldn't for me.

Chris is gay, played a minor role Michael's bashing, testifies against the others. Michael forgives him and he moves into the house. Josh was Michael's nurse and moves into the house when he decides to go back to school to become a doctor.
Chris and Josh have a few minor missteps. Neither one can manage to work up the courage to ask the other for a date. Eventually they get there but the road to true love isn't always smooth. Chris is receiving threatening letters, Josh's ex will just not go away, and his father Mark is hurt on the job.
As in all the books the other housemates are the supporting cast - the words love and honey are tossed in and kisses freely exchanged.

This series is just not for me. The characters in this book were a tiny bit more believable but that's the best I can say.

It official... I'm a KC slut.. I can't get enough.. I love Josh and Chris, their story was very touching. A great read!
