Most sell drugs to survive, others to ball. Snow has reached the age to know the difference. He learns what really matters; not the money or luxury cars, but the steady cash flow and easy living for his family. Tragedy strikes and puts the lives of his two daughters and his wife in jeopardy and leaves him trapped in the belly of the beast. After the greatest betrayal he has ever had to deal with in his life, he does his best to keep his younger brother Daytona from following in his footsteps. Daytona refuses to heed Snow's warning and feels what once was Snow's should now be his, and he sets on a mission to take over the streets. Will he learn the real meaning about trappin' or forever be lost to the streets?

Review for part 2 the same as part 3. The only difference is Nancy is now older and a toddler has been thrown into the mix.

A collection of horrific abusive scenes with equally abusive & abuse language
There is not much in the way of development for the plot or characters, but the shock and disgust factors,t that are referenced in my first sentences, almost overshadow this point.
It is a short, short, short, short crude story.

Blunt reality

I enjoyed this story and the message behind it. Daytona was like many young men in the world today, too bad he had to learn the hard way.

Daytona was warned...

After his brother's wife and daughter were raped, and his brother was imprisoned because the people who did it were killed as he tried to defend his family, Daytona decided he wouldn't allow others to assume the role of kingpin in the neighborhood. His niece was emotionally destroyed, his sister in law was traumatized, and his brother was in jail. So began Daytona's reign of terror. He and his crew quickly took on the challenge of taking down rival groups, and war ensued.

This book is a graphic view of everything grimy in the drug game. No place is sacred, and nothing is sacred. This isn't a pleasant read, as there are parts on the story that are hard to imagine. It's a good read, though. Speight is an excellent storyteller, and this book is another of his phenomenal works.

Truly trapped...Excellent short story. I thought Daytona would have learned from his brothers mistake but I guess not. friends and women are no to be trusted when your in the drug and street game. He tried to break the cycle, but did he. Your past always catches up with you believe that. Loved the ending was unexpected but mother and daughter got what they deserved. Peace of mind.

Steven King meets urban fiction. Two of the qualities I like in a book. Shameek Speight did his thang with this one!!

Trappin

I like Speight's ability to develop characters and give great details in setting up the colors and scenes of his stories.
