I'm just getting into poetry, but I enjoyed these poems and artists. I loved the images that were painted of the Asian American perspective. It's an older book so it might not be the same perspective on what would be current. But it is fascinating.

Alan Chong Lau's my ship does not need a helmsman changed my life. I think this was a pivotal time for Asian American poetry but post-vietnam-war I think another collection is due. And then after - what would a post-war Asian-American voice look like.
