Infinity Plus collects together stories from some of the leading names in speculative fiction. In 1997 the Infinity Plus website was launched at infinityplus.co.uk to showcase some of the best in SF, fantasy and horror fiction. Infinity Plus features the work of some of the site's major contributors such as Michael Moorcock, Kim Stanley Robinson, Jeff Vandermeer and others. These stories have been chosen by the writers themselves - stories dear to their hearts and deserving renewed attention.
It would not be the first collection of sci fi stories i'd recommend to someone, nor the second or the third. There were some decent stories in there, but for the most part it was a muddled mix of nonesense.
The collection as a whole is not the best I have read, but it includes "The Arcevoalo" by Lucius Shepard, which is undeniably one of the most beautifully written stories in the history of the genre. "Faithful" by Ian Mcdonald is another good piece.
