It would not be the first collection of sci fi stories i'd recommend to someone, nor the second or the third.
There were some decent stories in there, but for the most part it was a muddled mix of nonesense.

The collection as a whole is not the best I have read, but it includes "The Arcevoalo" by Lucius Shepard, which is undeniably one of the most beautifully written stories in the history of the genre. "Faithful" by Ian Mcdonald is another good piece.
